Chapter 22 The Vulnerable Point
William’s frigid countenance, his grim tone, and serious demeanor exuded a menacing aura of lethal intent!
Kathy was taken aback, instinctively taking a half step back.
The aura emanating from him was even stronger than Leonard!
Moreover, it was not just a little stronger, it was oppressively overwhelming.
Who exactly was he?
Quickly regaining her composure, Kathy's eyes turned cold, and with a sneer, she said. "Ms. Evans, this poor boy you brought is really arrogant. Doesn't he know this is Leonard's territory?"
Patricia sneered indifferently.
'Leonard?'
'So what? If William wanted to flatten the Star Club, it would be as simple as uttering a word. Even Leonard, upon knowing William's identity, would have to kneel and beg for William's forgiveness.'
"Kathy, I warn you, don't make a mistake. Take us there now! Otherwise, no one can save you!" Patricia had lost her patience, as she felt the chill emanating from William growing stronger.
Patricia, always a dominant figure, now irascibly walked up to the front desk, grabbed a bottle of liquor, and smashed it onto the head of a bouncer!
Blood spattered everywhere.
The bouncer clutched his bleeding head and wailed on the ground.
"Patricia, you’ve gone too far! This is my territory!" Kathy's face turned red with anger and restraint.
"Which private room, I ask again!" Patricia, clutching a bottle of wine, aimed its sharp neck directly at Kathy Nelson's pale face.
This truly frightened Kathy.
She had never seen Patricia as irritable as she was today. Was she provoking a dispute between Alan and Leonard by doing this?
"Patricia!"
Suddenly, more than a dozen bouncers surrounded Patricia and William, each holding a weapon, ready to strike at any moment.
Each gaze fierce and malevolent, as if wishing to tear Patricia and William apart on the spot.
Tensions were high, the atmosphere frigid.
However, William, surrounded by more than a dozen thugs, remained indifferent, his face showing no fear, his deep-set pupils flickering with fiery anger.
Patricia had followed Alan for a full eight years and had seen all sorts of big scenes. She was very calm and said, "What, bullying me with numbers because you think I can't fight back? Or have you forgotten Mr. Jordan's words?"
Kathy's face changed at these words, filled with anger but also with a hint of dread.
Why?
When Alan rose to power, he had declared that anyone who touched his people would face ruin, no matter who they were!
That's how domineering and ferocious he was.
Thus, Kathy and the bouncers hesitated, their gaze conflicted.
Who was Alan?
He was the Underground Emperor of Lindwood City. Although he had kept a low profile in recent years and started developing legitimate businesses, everyone knew that Alan is not one to trifle with.
Realizing today would not end peacefully, Kathy waved off the guards.
"Patricia, do you really want to go in? Let me tell you the ugly truth upfront: the person inside is someone you absolutely cannot afford to provoke. Even Mr. Jordan would have to weigh his options before acting. I hope you won't regret it!" Kathy said with a cold laugh.
Patricia frowned slightly. Seeing Kathy like this, it seemed there really was some trouble.
Who was it that the Star Club valued so much?
Was there someone in Lindwood City that even Mr. Jordan couldn't provoke?
If it wasn't someone from Lindwood City, could it be someone from out of town?
If so, that would be more complicated.
But then, Patricia glanced at William beside her, and all her doubts dissipated.
If what Mr. Jordan said that day was correct, William should be able to handle the situation.
With this thought, Patricia said impatiently. "Stop the nonsense and lead the way!"
Kathy chuckled coldly and, without another word, turned around and sashayed away.
William followed closely behind.
Patricia, bringing up the rear, had already discreetly taken out her phone to send a text message to Alan.
Soon, they arrived at the club's largest private room. The door, adorned with gold and decorated with beautiful ornaments, conveyed an extreme sense of luxury.
William had no interest in these details; his mind was solely focused on Mary, praying that she was unharmed!
He lifted his foot and kicked the door fiercely!
The door flew open.
Kathy was stunned by William's brutality and lack of decorum.
She made a mental note to have Leonard deal with him later!
Inside the private room, the loud music drowned out the sound of the door being kicked open, and the colorful lights made it difficult to see clearly.
Within, men and women, drunk and disorderly, were naked, drinking, playing, and even engaging in live acts, a scene of utter debauchery.
William hit the wall switch, and suddenly, the entire room was brightly lit, revealing all the sordid details.
The men and women screamed and scrambled to pick up their clothes from the floor to cover themselves.
Seeing this scene, William was completely stunned. He quickly scanned the room, searching for Mary.
'Where is Mary?'
'Where is she?'
Just then, a discordant voice rang out in the room. "Patricia, this isn't Alan's territory. You bring this guy here to cause trouble; are you disrespecting me?"
The man sitting on the sofa in the lower area of the steps, with a square face, triangular eyebrows, and a beard, had a look of coldness.
He was Leonard Reed, the boss of the Star Club!
He was also one of the top five figures in Lindwood City's underground forces.
His gloomy gaze was fixed on Patricia, completely ignoring the presence of William.
Patricia, truly Alan's confidante, was a sexy beauty.
Leonard had long been interested in Patricia Evans, desiring to conquer such a woman.
The entire private room was divided into two areas. Behind the stairs, a beaded curtain separated a section, with several figures visible behind it.
This was not the private room where Mary was previously in.
Leonard knew that a VIP had come to the club, so he personally came over and switched to the presidential suite.
Patricia spoke with an icy tone. "Leonard, we're here to find someone. I hope you'll bring the person out yourself."
Just then, suddenly a piercing scream came from behind the beaded curtain, sounding extremely helpless. "No! Go away!"
'Mary!'
William's fury erupted. He looked towards the beaded curtain where two men were roughly dragging a woman, tearing at her clothes!
"Stop!"
A strong man has its vulnerable point, and touching them meant death!
In an instant, William's eyes blazed with fury. With a thunderous roar, he seized two bottles and surged forward with swift resolve.
Leonard was caught completely off guard as he saw a figure flash by like a gust of wind.
He dared to act!
He was Leonard, who had never been disrespected, was being challenged.
Before he could react, two blunt and brutal sounds were heard!
William's hands, holding the bottles, smashed them onto the heads of the two bald men.
Instantly, the bottles exploded, and red wine mixed with blood flowed all over the floor.
Two screams echoed in the private room.
Anthony and Patrick immediately clutched their heads and fell to the ground, blood oozing out from between their fingers. It was a frightening sight.
William stepped forward, grabbed a coat from the sofa, and wrapped it around the torn shirt of Mary. He held her tightly in his arms and comforted her. "It's okay, Marry, I'm here."
Mary, in a state of extreme panic, struggled in William's arms, shouting and crying, biting hard on William's hand.
The pain stung!
William, restraining himself, holding Mary tightly, seething with profound indignation.
Mary sobbed, and it took a while for her to regain her senses. Looking up at William with tear-filled eyes, she murmured, "William!"
After calling his name out, Mary fainted.
Patricia ran over and, after a quick glance, urged. "William, we should get out of here and take Mary to the hospital."
William nodded, stood up, carried Mary, and turned to leave.
At that moment, Leonard blocked the way, shouting. "Leave? Patricia Evans, do you think this is a place you can just leave after attacking my guests?"
William's pupils narrowed, his gaze turning icy.
Before he could speak, Patricia sternly and coldly said. "Leonard, I'm not afraid of you. Do you dare to touch me? Aren't you afraid Mr. Jordan’s retaliation?"
Leonard's face froze. He indeed did not dare to lay a hand on Patricia because she was Alan's person. To touch her would be to slap Alan's face.
The consequences would be severe.
But his VIP guest had been hit on the head right under his nose. If word got out, Leonard might as well not bother staying in Lindwood City.
"Damn it! No one is leaving today!"
Patrick, whose head had been split open in an earlier assault, staggered to his feet. His visage drenched in blood, he bellowed with a savage countenance. "Leonard Reed, have him seized! I shall see him perish!"
Leonard quickly went over, reminding him. "Patrick, they are Alan's friend."
Patrick was furious, cursing. "Alan? What is he worth!"
As he finished speaking, suddenly the private room door was kicked open again!
A dozen men in black suits rushed in!
The room was instantly crowded.
Leonard was nervous, and cold sweat rolled down his forehead as he stared dead at the door to the private room.
A tall figure, dressed in an expensive white suit and white leather shoes, wearing a white gentleman's hat, and with a cigar in his mouth, walked into the private room under everyone's gaze.
"Whoever dares to hurt William is looking for trouble with me!"
