Chapter 319 Need My Help?
Isidore sneered, provocatively looking at William, and said, "Looks like you're not convinced, but so what? Tonight, Harper will be mine."
However, suddenly, a loud slap echoed through the entire restaurant!
No one expected William to slap Isidore's face so fiercely.
It was clean and crisp!
William shook his hand, shrugged, and said, "Didn't your mom teach you to speak and act with some decency? Don't push your luck, and don't be ungrateful."
Isidore covered his face, marked with a five-fingered handprint. After a moment of shock, he reacted, his face darkening as he pointed at William and shouted, "How dare you hit me? Do you know who I am?!"
"Does it matter to me who you are?" William sneered.
He looked at Isidore as if he were an idiot, not taking him seriously at all.
Isidore, who was covering his face, was so angry he could explode!
When had he ever been slapped in public?
William was simply courting death!
"You dare hit me! You're asking for trouble!" Isidore roared.
The commotion had already attracted the attention of everyone in the restaurant. Harper was startled, since she hadn't expected William to actually hit him.
But then again, this was his style.
William had dared to hit Archibald from the Henderson family in New York City, so it seemed he would dare to hit anyone.
She hurried over to apologize to Isidore. "Isidore, I'm really sorry. Are you okay?"
Isidore shoved Harper aside and shouted angrily, "Save it! You two are in this together! Neither of you is leaving tonight!"
"Harper, you shouldn't apologize to someone like him," William said coldly, pulling Harper over and glaring at Isidore. "Let's go."
Isidore, furious, couldn't just let William and Harper leave. He immediately pointed at William and shouted, "Stop! Do you think you can just leave after hitting me? What kind of logic is that?"
Isidore had a bet with his friends, but after all his efforts, an unexpected person had showed up and even hit him. The more he thought about it, the angrier he got!
William turned his head, smirking, "Well, do you think you haven't been hit enough?"
Isidore, enraged, grabbed a knife and fork from the table and stabbed at William's abdomen. "Die!" he shouted.
As the knife and fork were about to pierce William's stomach, Isidore's face twisted into a sinister smile.
However, William squinted and raised his hand to grab Isidore's wrist!
Isidore felt a pain instantly spread through his wrist to his entire body, making his legs tremble uncontrollably, and he collapsed to the ground.
Everyone was shocked, completely unaware of what had happened.
They just saw the assailant Isidore kneeling on the ground, looking very pale.
Harper initially wanted to intervene, but when she saw William's cold gaze, she chose to remain silent, knowing she had been somewhat cowardly tonight.
Isidore knelt on the ground, shouting in humiliation. "Ah! It hurts! Let go!"
The knife and fork had long fallen to the ground. He couldn't gather any strength. He had felt a sharp prick in his wrist, and then all his strength was gone.
"Do you still want to commit assault?" William said coldly. "Everyone saw it, this guy tried to kill me. I was just defending myself, so I had to be a bit rough."
With that, William applied more force. There was a crack, and Isidore screamed, watching helplessly as William broke his entire arm. The excruciating pain made him break out in a cold sweat.
"My hand! My hand!" Isidore exclaimed in misery, sweating profusely as he looked at his arm, bent at a ninety-degree angle.
The onlookers were stunned by the sudden turn of events!
William was very ruthless, breaking Isidore's arm just like that!
But that guy Isidore was asking for it, since he had tried to stab William with a knife and fork. He deserved it!
William, taking Harper, turned and left the restaurant without even looking at Isidore, who was kneeling and screaming on the ground.
Isidore shouted, "What are you looking at? Get lost!"
He knelt on the ground, unable to stand up from the pain in his arm.
Just then, a group of people rushed down from the second floor, helping him up and asking him what happened.
Isidore had a dark expression on his face. He left the restaurant with their help and was urgently taken to the hospital.
On the way there, he endured the pain and took out his phone and dialed a number, commanding, "Emeric, find me two guys. I'll send you a photo later. Cripple the man and take him to the usual place. Knock out the woman and take her to the villa!"
After hanging up, he lay back in the car, gritting his teeth and muttering, "I'll pay you back tenfold!"
He couldn't just let this go, not after losing so much face. If he didn't get his revenge, he could never show his face in Lindwood City!
Meanwhile, William and Harper were walking back, or rather, William was walking her home. She finally couldn't hold back and apologized, "William, I'm sorry, I..."
William shrugged and said nonchalantly, "You don't need to apologize to me. I understand. There are some business matters you can't avoid."
Since when did someone from the Price family have to swallow their pride and act subservient?
What exactly was Harper's status in the Price family?
Harper lowered her head, fidgeting with her fingers, and said, "Isidore is the general manager of The Garden Throne Hotel. Recently, our hotel has been collaborating with his group, so I was afraid that rejecting him would affect that cooperation."
William nodded in understanding and said, "I know, but remember, sometimes a girl needs to learn to protect herself. Isidore clearly has impure intentions towards you. If you agree to him because of the company and something happens, what will you do?"
Harper's heart fluttered slightly when she saw William's expression. She suddenly stopped, looked at William seriously, and said shyly, "William, I know you're doing this for my good, but Isidore has some influence in Lindwood City. I'm worried he might retaliate against you."
"Haha, you don't need to worry about that. I'm not even afraid of Archibald," William said casually.
He patted Harper's shoulder and added, "I have plenty of ways to teach him a lesson.
"But I'm curious, you're from the Price family, why do you act so weak?" William suddenly asked.
Harper refused to answer this question, stammering, "That's my own business. As for my earlier suggestion, think it over and arrange a meeting with Mary for me."
When William walked Harper to her apartment building, both of them felt a bit awkward.
It wasn't because of William. Harper wanted to invite William up but felt embarrassed.
When William saw Harper's shy and bashful demeanor, he knew she had something on her mind but didn't point it out. He said, "Why don't you go up? It's getting late, and I need to go back to my daughter and wife. Thank you for tonight."
Harper ultimately couldn't bring herself to say it and nodded.
Suddenly, several malicious voices rang out.
Someone remarked, "Hey, beautiful lady, you're really pretty. What are you doing here alone at this hour? How about hanging out with us?"
Another echoed, "Yeah, you're so pretty. If you don't mind, how about we keep you company?"
A voice argued, "Watch your language, guys. It depends on whether the lady is willing."
A group of thugs appeared out of nowhere, leering and making comments about Harper, completely ignoring William, who was standing beside her.
Some of them were bald, some were shirtless, and some wore tank tops with cigarettes in their mouths. They were clearly not good citizens!
Harper frowned and instinctively moved closer to William, feeling scared by their appearance.
William's face showed a faint coldness as he looked at the group of punks.
Trouble was coming.
Harper was a beauty that attracted trouble.
One of them started shouting, "Miss, what do you say? Don't keep us waiting."
Another man remarked, "Emeric, do you even need to ask? Can't you see she has a little boyfriend with her?"
"Damn! I didn't notice until you pointed it out. Tonight, we're all her boyfriends!" the man called Emeric said with a lecherous smile, looking at Harper with eyes full of desire.
William shrugged, a nonchalant smile on his face as he said, "You guys don't look like good people. I'll give you ten seconds to get lost."
William had already anticipated that Isidore wouldn't let it go, but he didn't expect it to happen so quickly.
These guys looked like street thugs!
William had given them a clear warning, but they didn't take him seriously at all. When they saw that William was alone, they laughed even harder at his warning!
A man sneered, "Looks like this guy has a death wish. Ten seconds? Hey, do you know who you're talking to? How dare you use that tone? Are you courting death?"
A bald guy, smoking a cigarette, looked William up and down and said, "You'd better get lost. We want to have a deep conversation with your girlfriend. If you know what's good for you, disappear from our sight, or you'll cry about it later."
The group laughed and mocked him without restraint.
At that moment, William turned to Harper and smiled, saying, "Do you want me to handle these troublemakers for you?"
Harper, confused, looked at William and said with a nod, "Yes."
"Then you have to promise me one thing: take me to the Price family in Radiant Harbor City," William said.
Harper hesitated. She didn't know why he had asked her that, but she felt that William was always asking about the Price family.
However, looking at the thugs, Harper had no other choice and gritted her teeth, saying, "Okay, I promise."
William smiled, turned his head, his eyes flashing with cold light as he stared at the thugs, and said coldly, "I'll handle them for you."
