Chapter 460 Inquiring about the Crimson Empire
Mary was stunned, looking suspiciously at the woman opposite her.
Why did she know her and act so familiar?
Mary turned her head and glanced around before tentatively asking, "Are you calling me?"
The other woman smiled gently, her lips curling into a graceful and serene smile, and said, "My name is Ellie Jones."
Ellie Jones!
Mary was completely shocked!
Mary's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at the woman in front of her, the more she looked, the more she saw the resemblance to William.
Her breathing quickened, covering her mouth with her hand, her big eyes blinking with excitement!
It was William's sister, her sister-in-law!
Wasn't she supposed to be dead?
Then why was she standing in front of her now, talking to her?
Mary was momentarily confused, her mind blank. By the time she came to her senses, the other woman had already sat down, ordered a cup of coffee, and said with a faint smile, "You must have a lot of questions for me."
Mary nodded.
The woman who called herself Ellie smiled and asked directly, "Did you look at the USB drive I gave you?"
Mary shook her head and then confirmed "Are you really Ellie? I'll call William right now."
As she spoke, she reached for her phone, but the woman stopped her.
She smiled slightly, took out a business card from her bag, and handed it to Mary, saying, "This is the address. If you have any questions, you can come to me anytime. But, I hope you don't tell my brother about this meeting today."
"Why?" Mary asked.
The woman smiled faintly, stood up, and left, leaving Mary with a mysterious figure.
Mary saw her get into a Cadillac parked at the door, with a bodyguard in a black suit opening the door for her.
She understood that the woman's identity was not simple.
But, since she called herself William's sister, why did she suddenly appear and not want her to tell William?
What was her purpose?
Back to William, he left Alan's company and went into a restaurant.
He used to frequent this place when he had no money.
He sat in a relatively quiet corner of the restaurant.
Just as William was enjoying his meal, a bright and familiar figure suddenly appeared in front of him.
A floral long-sleeve dress paired with a skirt, a charming and spirited posture, a tall and curvy figure.
It was none other than Hannah, whom he hadn't seen in a long time.
What a coincidence.
At this moment, Hannah had taken off her uniform and put on this dress, looking very bright and beautiful.
When she walked into the restaurant, she attracted the attention of countless men.
Not only was she good-looking, but Hannah also had a stunning figure, making all the men in the room unable to take their eyes off her.
Even some women looked at Hannah with envy and jealousy!
William smiled and asked Hannah as she walked over, "Do you like this restaurant too?"
Hannah looked at the smile on William's face, nodded, and then sat opposite him, instantly igniting the jealousy of the men in the restaurant!
Since William's big scene at the headquarters, Hannah knew that William's identity was not simple, so in her eyes, he was someone experiencing life incognito.
The two of them chatted occasionally until they finished eating and walked out of the restaurant. William stretched and said with a smile, "I'm so full. The food here is really good."
Hannah stood behind William, looking at this enigmatic guy, and said, "I'll head back now."
William turned his head, looking at her in surprise, and asked, "Do you have something to do tonight? Why are you in such a hurry to go back? Don't you want to go shopping or something?"
Hannah replied, "I prefer working on cases."
William commented inwardly, 'A workaholic.'
"Oh right, I need to ask you something," William suddenly said.
Hannah raised an eyebrow and asked, "What is it? If it's too confidential, I won't know."
William shrugged and said, "Nothing much, just about that last thing, regarding the Crimson Empire. I want to know more about it, and about Ignatius."
After that incident, William had asked Benjamin to investigate, but it was clear he encountered significant resistance.
Some things, even William couldn't handle.
Using the family's power?
That was obviously impossible, Jessica was always watching him.
Hannah frowned, thought for a moment, and said, "I can't help you with that, but maybe someone else can. I'll ask around for you."
William didn't have high hopes. From what George had told him, the Crimson Empire was an overseas force with deep backgrounds.
They exchanged a few more words and were about to part ways.
After all, it was just a chance encounter.
At that moment, a pickup truck full of people suddenly stopped in front of them!
They didn't come with good intentions!
William raised an eyebrow. Was this some post-meal entertainment?
It looked like they were here to cause trouble.
Thinking this, he already stood in front of Hannah.
Seeing the familiar figure in front of her, a trace of surprise flashed in Hannah's eyes, and she recalled the previous incident.
At the same time, the passenger door of the pickup truck opened, and a thug with a crutch got out. Seeing William, he immediately shouted, "It's him!"
Hearing the thug shout, the people in the pickup truck jumped out one by one, looking aggressive and imposing!
At least a dozen people.
Instantly, everyone in the restaurant ran out, even the owner closed the door.
A dozen thugs surrounded William and Hannah!
Each of them was holding knives and clubs!
"Don't be afraid, I'm here."
William turned his head and said to Hannah with a grin.
"Hey, don't forget my identity. Do you think I'm afraid of these people?"
Hannah glared at William disdainfully. As she spoke, she wanted to take out her badge from her pocket, but she had changed clothes today and didn't have it with her.
William noticed and said with a smirk, "With me here, you just watch from the side."
"Okay."
Hannah was straightforward. She had seen William's skills before; he could easily handle a dozen thugs. These people were no threat.
No matter what, Hannah wouldn't choose to leave William at this moment. She just stood aside, ready to act if needed.
At this moment, a burly man named Eugene got out of the driver's seat, a cigarette dangling from his mouth.
Eugene was wearing a tank top, his muscular build intimidating enough to scare off many people!
He took a puff of his cigarette, looked at William, and then asked the guy with the crutch, "Is he the one who beat you up?"
The thug with the crutch gritted his teeth at William and said, "Yes! It's him! This guy beat up a bunch of us! We've been looking for him for days and finally caught him here!"
William recognized the thug with the crutch; it was the group that Jeffery had arranged to ambush him that day!
Back then, Hannah was also present.
Was this for revenge?
What a coincidence.
William looked at the guy and sneered, "Didn't expect to run into you here. Didn't get enough of a beating last time?"
As he spoke, William took a few steps forward, scaring the guy into retreating a few steps, hiding behind Eugene. Clearly, William had left a deep impression on him last time!
"Boss, kill him, avenge us!"
The guy with the crutch shouted urgently!
