Chapter 395 I Can Handle It Alone

Jeffery sneered, furrowing his brows, and went on, "He ain't just the young master of the Jones Group. Even though his family's broke now, he ain't! Look closer. He threw millions into QuickLegs Delivery! And he's got shares in George's company, Golden Age Group."

He paused and added, "Mary, I dug all this up. William lied to you. He was loaded but wouldn't spend a dime on you and Sarah. He's not what he seems!"

Mary frowned, staring at the documents.

William had totally played her.

He didn't just buy QuickLegs Delivery; he also invested in Golden Age Group.

That was months ago, meaning William had been lying to her for a while.

Mary felt a lump in her throat, not sure what to say. She put down the documents and forced a smile. "Jeffery, I already know all this. William told me."

Jeffery was floored. He'd spent a ton to get this info. No way William told Mary!

"Mary, did he really tell you?" Jeffery asked, not buying it.

Mary stood up, walked to the window, letting the wind dry her tears, and nodded. "Yeah, he told me when he revealed he was the young master of the Jones Group. I've always trusted him. He must have his reasons. So, Jeffery, drop it."

Jeffery stood up, wanting to say something but held back.

He'd lost again!

Mary wasn't the woman who hated William and wanted a divorce anymore.

She was now seeing things from William's side.

Jeffery felt a deep resentment. He thought this info would make Mary doubt William, but he underestimated her love for him.

Meanwhile, Mary thought, 'William, what else are you hiding from me? Are you really just a bankrupt young master of the Jones Group?'

Mary had a million questions and decided to find a chance to ask William.

In another room, Viperstrike was shaking all over. William had put immense pressure on him.

He thought William didn't know squat about assassin organizations, so he exaggerated, "Assassin organizations are a different breed compared to street thugs. Street brawls are insignificant when you compare them to our operations. Ghosthawk and I are elite assassins within the Phantom Assassin Agency, which ranks among the top three assassin groups worldwide. We've got hundreds of operatives spread across the nation. Once a kill order is issued, we don’t stop until the target is eliminated."

He exaggerated, hoping to scare William into backing off and sparing him.

But to his surprise, William, after hearing this, didn't flinch. He stepped forward and stomped on his already shattered knee!

Viperstrike let out a soul-wrenching scream.

William showed no mercy, pressing down on his knee, the broken bones piercing through his flesh, making him feel worse than death.

"Lying won't help you," William said coldly, "If you're top-notch in your organization, then your organization is weak. If you can rank in the top three, then I could easily take the first spot alone!"

Viperstrike was floored by his arrogant words.

He had intended to scare William into backing off, but William completely ignored it, as if assassins were nobody to him.

"Who the hell are you?" Viperstrike asked, sensing something was off. Could William also be part of an assassin organization?

With such fighting skills, he shouldn't be unknown!

"It's none of your business. Don't try to guess my identity," William sneered, squatting down and looking coldly at Viperstrike. "Tell me everything you know. No lies!"

"I come from the Phantom Assassin Agency..."

Viperstrike was completely intimidated by William's gaze, and his speech became stuttered, not daring to hide anything.

William's reaction had totally thrown a wrench in Viperstrike's plans.

Now, all Viperstrike could do was spill the beans and hope for a shot at survival.

"You already said that," William snapped, his face getting colder by the second. "If you keep talking crap, you'll end up like your buddy!"

Viperstrike wasn't some die-hard loyalist. In assassin organizations, it wasn't about loyalty; it was all about the money and the job.

Loyalty didn’t mean much when you were living on the edge every day. For assassins, survival was the number one priority.

"Is it just the two of you on this mission? Anyone else?" William asked.

"It's just us. We thought we'd be enough," Viperstrike answered honestly.

"Do you know who hired you? Who's pulling the strings?" William pressed.

"EnchantFloral Guild, also an assassin group, hired us. We were confused why they hired us as well," Viperstrike answered.

It was Savannah!

William's eyes flared with anger.

Viperstrike immediately sensed the rising fury and overwhelming killing intent from William, making him feel like he was drowning in a vast ocean.

William sneered, "Savannah, I haven't even come after you, and you strike first!"

Since Savannah had already made a move, William saw no reason to hold back. He'd do whatever it took to protect Mary!

Even if it meant taking on the entire assassin organization, so be it!

The sharp glint in William's eyes grew more intense, making it terrifying to look at.

He crossed his arms and said coldly, "Your organization doesn't need to exist anymore. Since you dared to target BK Pharmaceuticals, get ready for destruction."

William had to completely wipe out this assassin organization.

As he spoke, a regal aura emanated from him.

This subtle yet powerful presence truly messed with Viperstrike's thoughts. For a moment, he felt an urge to switch sides!

William was incredibly arrogant, casually saying he'd destroy an assassin organization. Anyone hearing this would laugh and mock him for overestimating himself.

The Phantom Assassin Agency, although not as immensely powerful as Viperstrike boasted, was still a renowned assassin group, not one that could be easily taken down.

Intimidated by William's powerful aura, Viperstrike looked at William with disbelief.

"You don't believe me?" William questioned, coldly staring at Viperstrike.

Viperstrike's face was filled with panic. He saw a hint of murderous intent in William's eyes and quickly pleaded, "Please spare me. I've told you everything. Please give me a chance."

William shook his head, his eyes cold as he asked, "Didn't you hear what I said earlier?"

Viperstrike didn't reply immediately, looking at William, trembling. "What did you say?"

"I said, Phantom Assassin Agency will no longer exist. Don't you remember?"

Viperstrike shuddered violently, then began to tremble all over. "You want to kill me? No! You can't kill me! If you do, my organization will retaliate endlessly!"

William coldly snorted, "Retaliation? So what?"

A few minutes later, William walked out of the storage room, leaving two corpses inside.

The rest would be handled by Quillon.

After leaving, William didn't go straight to Mary's office. Instead, he took the elevator to the rooftop, wanting the cold wind to blow away the smell of blood.

In the early autumn wind, William squinted slightly, his eyes reflecting the city's landscape and lights.

It was time to act.

"How confident are you in wiping out the Phantom Assassin Agency?" William asked, as if speaking to the air.

Not far behind him, Benjamin leaned casually against the iron door, his eyes scanning Lindwood City with a cold smile. "I can handle it alone," he said.
