Chapter 52 William's Fury.
William's eyes were cold, and the aura he exuded was intimidating. George dared not speak; this aura had been absent for seven years and was now unleashed. Tonight, those people would face the wrath of a dragon awakening from the abyss.
"Drive." George commanded. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class cars lined up and slowly left the hospital.
At that moment, Nancy and her parents hurried to the hospital entrance. As they passed William's car, Nancy couldn't help but glance at the several luxury cars that had just passed by.
‘Who are these wealthy people?’ she thought.
Suddenly, Nancy froze in place, her brows furrowed in suspicion. The person in the car that just passed by looked too much like her good-for-nothing cousin's husband, William.
Nancy stood there. Her mind filled with doubts, watching the convoy drive out of the hospital gates. ‘Could it be him?"’she wondered.
Impossible.
She must be overthinking it.
Nancy knew very well what kind of person her cousin's husband was. How could he be sitting in such a luxurious car?
She chuckled self-deprecatingly and ran into the hospital.
The convoy soon arrived at an upscale residential area. A villa that George had privately acquired. It was more accurate to say it belonged to William.
This villa was the most expensive property in Lindwood City, with only thirty units developed. The cheapest one was worth thirty million!
George had bought the most expensive one, located in the central area, with unique advantages.
It had cost him a billion to acquire it!
Of course, the real estate developer who could develop this area was the most powerful local company in Lindwood City, the Eagle Group.
The Eagle Group had absolute authority in Lindwood City, as a local company that had stood for forty years.
The capital and power behind it were immeasurable.
Not only about money but also about its intricate network of relationships.
In terms of wealth, George was the richest man in Lindwood City.
But in terms of influence, the Eagle Group was an unrivaled presence.
Even Alan had to consider the interests of the Eagle Group.
The convoy soon arrived at the upscale residential area, with three gates, each guarded by well-trained security personnel from the Eagle Group.
Absolute security.
The convoy quickly stopped in the central area of the upscale residential area, at Villa No. 1.
A glorious name.
William got out of the car. In the vast courtyard, security personnel in suits and sunglasses stood ten meters apart on both sides.
In the central area, under the illumination of a large lamp, five trembling young men knelt on the grass.
William's face showed no expression. He walked over, picked up a baseball bat from one of the security guards, and ruthlessly swung it at them!
The whole process lasted for five minutes.
The sound of screams was continuous.
The baseball bat was thrown to the ground, and a person brought over a white marble chair. William sat down, his thighs apart, his hands hanging down, his body leaning forward, looking at the five people lying on the ground, and coldly asked, "Who used the knife?"
"Not me!"
"It wasn't me! Please spare us!"
"We are wrong. We won't do it again! Spare us!"
Faced with their pleas, William's expression darkened. He snapped his fingers, and several security guards stepped forward, each carrying a white silver box. The boxes were opened, revealing layers of US dollars.
"Here's five million. Whoever speaks first, the money is his."
The voice was not loud, but it carried weight.
They looked at each other, each with their own thoughts.
"I'll talk!"
"It is Vincent Watson!"
In an instant, the four of them desperately pointed at one person.
The man's face was full of fear, his body trembling, and he shouted. "It isn't me!" Then he got up and tried to run.
He was kicked and sent flying, lying on the ground, his forehead covered in cold sweat.
William sat on the white marble chair and said coldly. "I don't want to see him in Lindwood City again."
As soon as he finished speaking, two men in black suits approached, supporting Vincent, who was in a sorry state, and dragged him away.
Vincent begged desperately. "I was wrong!"
A muffled thunderclap covered all other sounds.
In the pouring rain, at a street corner in Lindwood City, a black business van was speeding, and a person covered in blood was thrown out of the car.
His legs were broken, and he writhed in the muddy rain, wailing in pain.
From then on, Lindwood City had one more beggar with crippled legs.
The scene returned to Villa No. 1.
In the pouring rain, William stood with two bodyguards holding black umbrellas, exuding a solemn aura.
On the grass, four people knelt or lay.
They never imagined that the person they had just taught a lesson was someone they shouldn't have provoked.
They were filled with fear and trepidation.
"Who is Craig ?" William asked in a cold voice, causinging shivers down everyone's spines.
"It's Craig from NH Stree." one of them stammered.
William's gaze turned icy.
And behind him, George, who was also standing under an umbrella, sighed and took out his phone to call Alan.
At the same time.
Alan's villa.
In the dead of night, he received a call from Craig, who sounded very anxious.
He opened the door and saw Craig kneeling outside in the pouring rain.
"Craig, what are you doing?" Alan hurried over and helped Craig up.
But Craig knelt in the rain. He was motionless, his head down, drenched.
"Mr. Jordan, I'm sorry. I made a mistake." Craig shouted, his fists clenched.
After his men were arrested, he inquired around and learned something terrible.
The person his men had been instructed to teach a lesson was actually William!
At that moment, Craig felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave.
What was even more terrifying was that his men, in their confusion, had actually used a knife and injured William's woman.
He was in deep trouble!
Craig knew how much Alan respected William.
Although he was not clear about William's true background, he knew he was finished.
Alan was anxious and asked. "What happened? Let's go inside and talk."
Alan had never been so flustered, and his intuition told him that something serious must have happened.
Otherwise, according to Craig's character, he would never kneel at the door in the middle of the night to apologize.
In the pouring rain, Craig explained everything in detail.
Alan, who was furious, kicked Craig in the chest, and the latter fell in the rain, splashing water.
"Why the hell do you do this? Why! You want to die! Bastard!!"
Alan roared at Craig in the rain, his chest filled with anger.
He simply couldn't believe what he had just heard.
Craig had someone teach William a lesson and even injured William's woman.
Damn it!
This was simply digging his own grave!
"Mr. Jordan! I'm sorry! I'll take full responsibility for everything! I just hope Mr. Jones will spare my family! I beg William to spare my family!"
Craig knelt in the rain, kowtowing frantically, his head knocking on Alan's chest.
A raging muffled thunder, whether it was the anger of the heavens or something else.
Alan had just picked up the phone when it rang like a death knell in the dark.
The caller ID showed "George".
Alan's heart skipped a beat, and he answered the phone, respectful and fearful. "George, what can I do for you?"
"Is Craig with you?"
A simple question, Alan trembled for a long time before replying. "Yes."
"Bring him to Villa No. 1 in the upscale residential area, William wants to see him."
The call was ring up.
Alan stood in the rain for a long time before he reacted.
"Come with me to see William." Alan said coldly, personally driving toward the upscale residential area.
Ten minutes later, Alan arrived at Villa No. 1 with the drenched Craig.
The rain gradually subsided.
The moment Craig saw William sitting on the white marble chair, he immediately knelt down, banging his head and pleading. "Please spare my family, William. I will take full responsibility."
William looked at Craig, who was kneeling in front of him.
He had seen him not long ago.
He was a tough guy.
But he also made mistakes.
William turned his head and looked at Alan, who was standing beside Craig, and asked in a cold tone. "Alan, what would you do?"
Alan bowed his head and said. "I'll do whatever William says."
William remained silent, stood up, and asked from a higher vantage point. "Craig, why do you have someone teach me a lesson?"
Craig dared not conceal anything and explained Lisa's situation in detail.
William listened, his fists clenched, a cold light flickering in his eyes.
Lisa!
William stood there, not saying a word, and everyone felt a heavy weight on their hearts.
After a while, he said. "Go back, let this be a lesson."
Craig was stunned, unable to believe what he had just heard.
Then, he kowtowed frantically. "Thank you, William!"
A huge stone in Alan's heart also fell, and he breathed a sigh of relief, bowing and saying. "William."
Before he could finish his sentence, George glared at him, and he hurriedly left with Craig.
After they left, George asked." William, why do you let Craig go?"
William said. "I'm not someone who likes violence, and Craig doesn't do it intentionally. His crime doesn't warrant death. Mary needs a companion, so let Craig go, consider it a way for him to make amends."
George nodded, his hands trembling slightly, and after a while, he said, "William, you're back."
William's eyes flickered with an indescribable look, and he frowned. "I really don't like that me."
At that moment, his phone rang, and as soon as he answered, his mother-in-law's voice came through, full of displeasure.
"William, where the hell are you? Mary wants to see you, hurry back!"
The call ended.
The coldness on William's body disappeared instantly, and he became the same William who had endured insults and disdain for the past two or three years.
"Take me to the hospital." William said urgently.
George shook his head helplessly, and William disappeared again.
After taking William to the hospital, George watched as William, who was full of worry, got out of the car and ran all the way, and he dialed a number, speaking with great respect. "Sir, I think it's time to tell William about that matter."
