Chapter 442 Not Much, Just a Hundred Billion Dollars

Santino's brow furrowed, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "Do you even know where you are? How dare you refuse? I'll toss you and your mother-in-law into the river!"

Margaret couldn't take it anymore. She jumped up and snapped at William, "William, you've got money now. Why won't you just pay up? Do you want to see me thrown into the river?"

She was fuming, thinking, 'That idiot William still won't give in! Doesn't he get that if he doesn't pay, none of us are getting out of here today?'

William turned to her, his eyes cold, and barked, "Shut up! This debt is yours, why should I pay? If you want to get out of here safely, then zip it!"

Margaret bit her tongue, realizing her fate was now in William's hands. If she pissed him off, she was done for.

William looked at Santino, his face darkening. "How did she lose that much money to you?"

This was clearly a setup.

Santino chuckled. "You wanna gamble too?"

William smirked. "Why not? Since gambling got us into this mess, let's gamble our way out."

Santino's interest was piqued. "We have rules here. How much money do you have?"

He didn't believe anyone could beat him at his own game. This whole thing was a trap to squeeze money out of William.

William held up one finger. "I came out in a hurry, so I only brought a hundred bucks."

Margaret's eyes rolled back, and she nearly fainted. He really wanted her to die here!

Everyone else in the room was shocked. They all looked at William like he was a fool. How dare he joke with Santino like this? Where did he get the nerve?

Santino was stunned, then furious. "Are you looking for trouble? Keep running your mouth, and I'll break your hands and legs right now!"

"Afraid to lose? Or are you just too scared to gamble with me?" William said, a cold smile playing on his lips.

Margaret's eyes widened. "William, are you crazy? What are you doing? Are you trying to get me killed?"

She was livid. William was such a fool!

William ignored her. Santino looked at him mockingly and laughed. "Alright. Think carefully. Once you sit at this table, you can't leave without winning a billion dollars!"

Delia jumped in, "William! Don't do it. Listen to me, you'll definitely lose. They cheat."

Santino slapped her and snarled, "Shut up! The thing I hate most is cheaters!"

William smiled. "Don't worry. I've never lost."

As soon as he said that, the room erupted in laughter.

"This guy is so full of himself. Doesn't he know what death is?" someone mocked.

"Does he really think he's a card sharp?" another scoffed.

"He's just overestimating himself!" a voice chimed in.

The bodyguards around them had mocking looks and shook their heads.

Margaret was so scared she could barely stand. She thought, 'It's over. We're going to lose everything!'

"Alright! I'll gamble with you. Let's see what you've got!" Santino said, slapping the table.

A dealer came in immediately.

William didn't waste any time and calmly sat down. Seeing his composed demeanor, Margaret felt even angrier, wishing she could strangle him. She didn't realize William was here to save her.

Soon, the chips were laid on the table. Santino glanced at William's hundred-dollar chip with a sneer, then tossed a stack of chips worth a hundred thousand dollars in his direction. "Here's a hundred grand for you!"

William smiled and didn't refuse.

"What are we playing?" Santino asked with a grin.

"Anything," William replied calmly.

Santino's interest was piqued. "Then let's play high-low, simple and quick."

William nodded in agreement.

The game began. In the first few rounds, William kept losing. As the chips on the table dwindled, Margaret and Delia became anxious.

"William, do you even know how to play? Why do you keep losing? Are you trying to get us killed?" Margaret scolded, wishing she could take William's place. He was down on his luck.

Ignoring her, William continued, "Bet low."

Santino smiled. "High."

The dealer opened the dice and announced, "High."

Santino, full of confidence, glanced at William and mockingly said, "You're almost out of chips. Want to borrow some? Just like your mother-in-law, with 3% interest. How about it?"

William held his last chip, a thousand dollars, and faintly smiled. "No need. I'm going to win next."

Santino and his men burst into laughter.

"Win with that thousand-dollar chip in your hand?" Santino sneered, his face cold and fierce.

William faintly smiled, looked calmly at the dealer, and said, "Continue."

Santino said, "Alright! You've got guts. If you can leave here alive today, I'll consider you a friend!"

He signaled the dealer to continue. The dealer shook the dice and then covered them on the table, raising his hands to signal William and Santino to place their bets.

William threw his thousand-dollar chip on low and added, "This thousand dollars and all my assets, on low."

Santino was stunned, almost fooled by William's determined face. 'What's going on? What was that aura just now?' he wondered. It almost made him want to worship.

Santino was silent for a moment, then asked with a smile, "How much do you have?"

William shook his head. "Not much, currently, a hundred billion dollars."

Santino was stunned. Was William bluffing?

Santino suddenly slapped the table and shouted, "Are you kidding? If you had a hundred billion dollars, would you be betting here with me?"
