Chapter 275 Nicholas Breaks into the Villa and Meets Margaret
William's uncle?
Mary was initially taken aback, but then she smiled politely and courteously, saying, "Uncle Nicholas, please have a seat. I..."
Mary was a bit incoherent and somewhat bewildered.
Nicholas noticed and smiled kindly, saying, "Has William never mentioned me?"
Mary smiled awkwardly and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
William had an uncle, which he had never mentioned before.
And given Nicholas' demeanor, he wasn't a simple man, especially with bodyguards in tow.
Since William was the young master of the Jones Group in New York City, his status wasn't simple.
But why did Nicholas suddenly visit?
Seeing Mary's expression, Nicholas knew what she was thinking and said, "Don't be afraid. I just came to see you all. William has kept us in the dark, and his daughter has suffered so much at such a young age."
Nicholas gazed at Sarah on the hospital bed with eyes full of tenderness.
This was the child of the Jones family, William's daughter.
Unfortunately, she hadn't enjoyed the princess-like treatment of the Jones family.
Nicholas felt very guilty.
Mary quickly poured a glass of water and handed it to Nicholas. He took it and looked at Mary lovingly, suddenly asking, "Mary, has William ever told you about his identity?"
Mary's heart skipped a beat, and she forced a smile, answering, "Uncle Nicholas, I know everything."
Know everything?
Nicholas was taken aback and a bit worried, thinking, 'Could William really handle it?'
"He's the young master of the Jones Group in New York City. Mr. Brooks told me everything," Mary replied, her eyes downcast, not showing much happiness.
Nicholas realized.
He quickly smiled and explained, "Mary, don't blame William. He has his reasons. Our family's matters are complicated. Over the years, he left home out of necessity. If you want to blame someone, blame me, but don't blame William."
Mary smiled and said, "You're joking. How could I blame William? He's my husband. I don't blame him for keeping things from me. I know that being born into a wealthy family comes with hardships that others don't know about. I support him and will wait for the day he tells me himself."
Nicholas nodded, looking at Mary with great affection.
William had found a good wife.
She was understanding and considerate.
'But Mary, you don't know that William's identity is far more complicated than just being the young master of the Jones Group,' Nicholas thought to himself.
Several times, he wanted to reveal everything and take her and Sarah back to the island, but he restrained himself.
Because he knew that now was not the right time, doing so would only harm Mary and Sarah.
After sitting for a while, Nicholas stood up and said, "In a few days, I'll invite you and William, along with your parents, to a meal to make up for the regret of my brother and sister-in-law not being present at your wedding."
Mary's eyes widened, and she asked, "Uncle Nicholas, I actually want to know, did William leave home back then because of his mother..."
Nicholas smiled and said, "Don't worry. When the time is right, William will tell you."
With that, he left the hospital room with his entourage.
Mary personally saw Nicholas out of the hospital, watched him get into his car and leave, then turned back to the hospital room. Looking at the sleeping Sarah, she took out her phone and called William, "Honey, your uncle just came to see Sarah."
William was on his way back to the hospital when he received the call. He was first surprised, then said, "Really? I'm almost at the hospital."
After hanging up, Nicholas' call came through.
"William, Mary is great, I really like her. I believe your father will like her too. And Sarah, she's so sweet and adorable."
Nicholas was full of joy; it was probably the happiest he had ever been.
William mumbled, "Uncle Nicholas, you suddenly came to Lindwood City without notifying me. You didn't tell Mary anything about my identity, did you?"
William was worried that Nicholas might have let something slip.
"Don't you trust me? Don't worry, everything's fine. But I should remind you, Mary seems to know that you're the young master of the Jones Group in New York City. You better be prepared," Nicholas said, laughing, and hung up the phone.
William was stunned, thinking, 'Mary knew it? Didn't she say she didn't believe it? Well, it's just about being the young master of the Jones Group in New York City. Not big deal.'
Upon his arrival at the hospital, William found Mary beside the bed, keeping Sarah company while she slept. He quietly walked over and pulled up a chair to sit down.
Mary looked much more haggard, her face full of fatigue.
Mary opened her eyes and saw William's smiling face in front of her. She smiled and said, "Why are you looking at me? Is there something on my face?"
As she spoke, Mary tried to touch her face.
"Nothing, just that my wife is beautiful, so I want to look at her more," William said sweetly.
Mary rolled her eyes at him, got up quietly, and pulled William out of the hospital room to the lounge area.
In the lounge area, Mary sat next to William, leaning on his shoulder, and asked, "William, is there anything else you haven't told me?"
William thought for a moment and confessed, "Mary, I'm indeed the young master of the Jones Group in New York City. I'm sorry for keeping it from you for so long."
William thought it was simple: since Mary already knew, he might as well come clean.
After all, it was just the Jones Group, nothing more.
Mary stood up, her eyes wide open, tears glistening at the corners.
He finally confessed.
"How long were you planning to keep this from me?" Mary asked, a bit angry.
William wrapped his arm around her waist and said, "I wasn't planning to keep it from you for long. I was going to tell you in a few days. It's just that a lot has been happening at home recently, and I couldn't tell you everything. I wanted to wait until I had handled everything and then take you and Sarah back."
Back to Skyheart Island.
William didn't tell the whole truth.
Mary thought he meant back to the Jones family in New York City.
"Really? Do you need my help?" Mary asked, very worried about William.
William was becoming more and more mysterious, always doing things she didn't know about.
William lovingly patted Mary's hair and smiled gently, saying, "No, I'll handle it myself. Just don't tell your parents about my identity. I'm afraid they might..."
Mary naturally understood what he meant and said angrily, "How dare you say that? If you hadn't deliberately hidden it, how would my mom have treated you like that?"
William shrugged, looking indifferent.
While they were being sweet and affectionate, Nicholas had already arrived at the upscale residential area with his entourage.
Four bodyguards behind him directly barged into Villa No. 1.
The security at the gate was no match for the people Nicholas brought.
Meanwhile, Margaret was inside the villa, on the phone with her friends, inviting them over to the villa with a tone full of bragging.
As the owner of the villa, Margaret had to show off a bit.
This had been tough on Dorothy; Margaret had been driving her crazy these past few days.
Every few days, Margaret would run to Hillside Villa and make all sorts of comments about how Hillside Villa wasn't that great, acting like a petty person who had tasted success.
Just then, a few people suddenly appeared at the villa's gate, startling Margaret.
Margaret stood up and scolded, "Hey, who are you? Who let you in? This is a private villa, get out!"
However, Nicholas walked straight into the living room, sat on the sofa, crossed his legs, and smoked his pipe.
Margaret felt guilty, especially when she saw Nicholas had brought four burly men who were clearly bodyguards.
The only ones at home were her and Tyler.
"Tyler, Tyler, come out here!"
Margaret, panicked, called out a few times. Soon, Tyler came out of the bedroom, draped in a coat.
Tyler asked."Who are you?"
Standing in front of Margaret, Tyler looked at the uninvited guests in the living room, her face full of worry. "If you don't leave, I'll call the police."
Margaret also shouted from behind, "Get out of my house! This is an upscale residential area, the Eagle family's territory. Trespassing is illegal!"
Margaret mentioned the Eagle family, hoping to scare these people.
Unfortunately, she miscalculated.
Nicholas looked up, coldly glanced at Margaret, and laughed, saying, "What a mean woman. I wonder how William has managed all these years."
William?
Margaret and Tyler were stunned, completely confused.
"Who are you looking for? William?" Margaret asked boldly. Then, with a face full of sarcasm, she asked, "Why are you looking for that loser? Did he owe you money? That's none of my business. Just ask him for it. He's rich now."
'Of course, he had enough money to buy a villa, so William must have hidden a lot of money,' Margaret thought.
Margaret believed these people were loan sharks.
"Loser?" Nicholas said loudly, his eyes flashing with coldness.
This vicious woman deserved to die!
