Chapter 178 Jessica! Don't Mess with Me!

"If you don't want to tell me, that's fine. It's your grudge to swallow."

William knew Margaret's temperament well, she was a spiteful woman who couldn't stand being wronged.

Margaret thought for a moment and said, "It was a woman, very beautiful. She said her name was Jessica. Can you avenge me?"

She had been stewing over this all night. She didn't even know Jessica, but she didn't dare to confront her.

That aura was too powerful.

She knew Jessica wasn't someone could be offended.

When William heard Jessica's name, he paused, and then his face turned icy.

He had clearly warned Jessica not to mess with the people around him, but she didn't listen.

Was this a warning to him?

"William, if you help me get back at her, I won't hold it against you for hitting me. Plus, I'll treat you like my own son from now on. How about that?" Margaret said.

As long as William could teach Jessica a lesson, Margaret didn't mind being nicer to him in the future.

"Stay home for the next few days. If you get hit again, I won't be able to save you. Even the people from the Eagle family you tried to cozy up to last time can't do anything about her."

William said coldly, then turned and left.

He borrowed a car from Craig and drove to Cloud Peak Manor.

The entire estate was guarded by bodyguards, making it easy to get in but hard to get out.

After entering the estate, William got out of the car but then he was stopped by a few bodyguards.

"Move," William said calmly.

"William, Jessica has given orders to refuse all visitors. You should go back," one of the bodyguards said to William.

William's eyes narrowed, and he said coldly, "Are you going to stop me?"

The bodyguards exchanged glances but couldn't disobey orders. They braced themselves and explained, "Jessica said she’s not seeing anyone today. Please leave."

William didn't bother to speak. He took a few steps forward, and the bodyguards stepped back until they had no more room to retreat. They finally said, "If you keep this up, we'll have to take action."

"You think you can take me on? Who gave you the guts?" William shouted coldly.

The bodyguards looked at each other, and just as tensions were about to boil over, Jessica walked over slowly, smiling warmly like a spring breeze. "William, why bother with my subordinates?"

She wore a white dress with a light blue shawl over her shoulders, and her long, wavy hair framed a perfect figure, making her look stunning.

Jessica had an almost fairy-like beauty and figure but a heart as cold as ice.

"Stand down," Jessica said calmly, crossing her arms, her fingers adorned with diamond rings and gemstone bracelets.

The bodyguards bowed respectfully and left but stayed nearby, maintaining a distance of about ten inches.

Behind Jessica was her close assistant, Zoe.

William glanced at Zoe, sensing her cold and murderous aura, knowing she was not an ordinary person.

"Why are you target Margaret ?" William asked coldly.

"She looks down on the Jones family. Just for that, she deserves to die a hundred times over."

Jessica smiled gently, but that gentleness was the most lethal.

"She's my mother-in-law, Mary's mom. You have no right to act on my behalf," William said coldly.

Jessica replied, "I just gave her a little lesson to make her behave. Is that so wrong? Aurora Price entrusted you to me before she left. In a way, you're like a son to me. Speaking to me like this is quite disheartening."

As she said this, Jessica smiled.

William's face darkened, and he said, "Shut up! You have no right to mention Aurora Price. I'm here to warn you, don't mess with the people around me again, or I'll show you no mercy."

As soon as he finished speaking, a red dot appeared on Jessica's chest, aimed directly at her heart.

"Mrs. Jones!"

Suddenly, alarms blared throughout Cloud Peak Manor!

"Quick! Protect Mr. Jones and Mrs. Jones!"

All the bodyguards in black suits drew their guns from their waists, on high alert.

More bodyguards rushed in from all directions, surrounding Jessica and William.

Zoe, dressed in tight jeans, a white shirt, and high heels, quickly drew a gun from her waist, pointing it at William's forehead.

William glanced coldly at Zoe, his gaze icy.

"How dare you!"

Jessica shouted angrily, slapping Zoe across the face. "Who told you to point a gun at him?"

"Yes."

Zoe quickly holstered her gun and stood silently behind Jessica, but her eyes remained locked on William.

If William made any sudden moves, she would pull the trigger without hesitation.

So what if he was the young master of the Jones family? Her duty was to protect Jessica.

She was raised by the Miller family.

"I didn't expect you to have such a skilled person by your side who couldinfiltrate Cloud Peak Manor. Truly impressive."

The red dot on Jessica's chest hadn't disappeared, but she remained calm, her face still wearing a faint smile.

William said coldly, "Jessica, here is a piece of advise for you: don't try to test my limits again."

With that, William turned and walked to the trunk of the black Mercedes he had driven. He opened it and dragged out a man who had been beaten badly, kicking him to the ground.

"Your man, caught stealing. Deal with it yourself!" William said coldly.

Jessica glanced at the man kneeling on the ground. He was the thug she had sent to bring Mary back.

For a moment, a hint of surprise and panic flashed beneath Jessica's calm exterior.

Jessica's beautiful eyebrows furrowed slightly, but before she could act, Zoe had already stepped forward.

Two quick movements, and blood splattered.

The man had an arm and a leg crippled, screaming in agony.

"Are you satisfied?" Jessica smiled.

William didn't say anything, just raised his hand in a gesture, and the red dot on Jessica's chest disappeared.

At the same time, in a nearby forest, a black figure flashed by.

"There! Catch him!"

Immediately, more than half of the bodyguards at Cloud Peak Manor were mobilized to capture the intruder.

William calmly drove away.

At the foot of the mountain, William stopped the car.

From the roadside bushes, a man in a black hoodie, wearing a hat and mask, got into the car.

The car started and quickly drove away.

Inside the car, the man in the passenger seat took off his hat and mask. He took a deep breath then said, "There are so many bodyguards here. Next time, we gotta charge extra for this kind of job. But Jessica is really beautiful. Forty years old, right? She looks like a twenty-year-old girl."

This guy was clearly a chatterbox, talking non-stop as soon as he got in the car.

"How did the investigation go?" William asked while driving.

The man responded then he pulled out some photos and documents from his pocket. They were obviously candid shots, taken from tricky angles, and quite scandalous.

They were all photos of Jessica making out with strange men.

William glanced at them coldly and said, "One million. Get the money from George later."

"Alright, you're generous. It was worth the trip."

The man said with a grin, then opened the car door and said, "See you next time."

With that, he jumped out of the moving car.

This was a skilled individual.

Little did anyone know, after jumping out of the car, the man limped to a hospital, grumbling, "Damn, I shouldn't have shown off."

Meanwhile, Margaret had been staying at home for two days. She felt miserable about it.

After some thought, she grabbed her bag, wrapped her head in a scarf, put on sunglasses, and went out. She planned to visit William and Mary's marital home to see if she could list their house with a real estate agent.

She was determined to buy a villa and wouldn't give up easily.

If she couldn't afford an upscale residential area, she'd buy Hillside Villa.

When she arrived at William and Mary's marital home, Margaret sneaked in like a thief, bending over as she entered.

As Margaret  looked at the simple furniture, she felt a pang of heartache. How could Mary marry such a loser? It was too much suffering.

"The property deed."

Margaret got to work immediately, rummaging through drawers to find the property deed.

Once she had the deed, she could call the shots.

After searching for a while, she finally found the property deed in a bedroom drawer.

Margaret was overjoyed, kissing the deed. Great, she found it.

She quickly stuffed the deed into her bag and was about to leave when she noticed a small box in the corner of the drawer.

She picked up the box, opened it, and was stunned!

What a beautiful bracelet!

With just one look, Margaret knew this was no ordinary bracelet. It was exquisite.

If anyone else were there, they would recognize this bracelet as a top-tier piece.

Moreover, the bracelet had a name engraved on it: Aurora Price.

Margaret didn't care. She happily put the bracelet on her wrist, loving it so much that she muttered, "Hiding such a nice thing, not giving it to me to wear. It's mine now."
