Chapter 384 Mary Accidentally Found Out

Endymion clenched his jaw and spat out, "I don't know where you got the information about my great-grandfather,, but don't think you can scare me. I ain't afraid of trouble, and I sure as hell ain't agreeing to your terms!"

No way he was letting this golden chance to take down Harper slip through his fingers.

Brooklyn's whereabouts— that was his ace in the hole, and there was no way he was giving that up!

"Oh, so we're done talking then," William sneered, his eyes cold as ice as he watched Endymion struggle to get up.

The second Endymion locked eyes with William, a chill ran down his spine, like he was staring down a hungry tiger.

"You..." Endymion started to shout.

But before he could finish, William's boot slammed into his chest again.

With that kick, Endymion felt intense pain, his ribs felt shattered, and breathing was a struggle.

"Endymion, you still don't get it, do you? Just 'cause you're a Price doesn't mean I won't mess you up. To me, you're nothing!" William growled.

Upon hearing this, Endymion shivered all over, watching as William got closer, grabbed his hair, and yanked him up with a fury.

William then slapped him five or six times, making his vision blur, blood spilling from his mouth.

William said, "I'm a reasonable guy. If you agree to my terms, for Harper's sake, I'll let you go."

He sneered, "Otherwise, you might end up a cripple."

William was straight-up threatening him!

Even though Endymion's head was spinning, he heard it loud and clear. He felt a chill all over and quickly nodded. "Okay, okay, I agree. Just stop hitting me."

A good beating made him see reason.

William grinned, let him go, patted his shoulder, and said, "Good. I don't wanna see you again, got it?"

"Got it," Endymion said, nodding like a bobblehead.

"Good. And don't forget, make sure her mom is back safe tomorrow," William said, giving Endymion's shoulder a heavy pat. "Now get lost. Don't let me see you again!"

Upon hearing this, Endymion felt a wave of relief. He gritted his teeth and asked, "You said you knew my great-grandfather? Who the hell are you?"

Endymion was baffled.

Why would William know Remington?

Endymion frowned, feeling both nervous and scared.

William looked at him coldly and laughed. "Remington is my grandpa."

'Grandpa? What the hell!' Endymion thought, shocked.

"Bullshit! Are you looking to die? How dare you joke about the Price family and my great-grandpa? How could he have such a young grandson? Our Price family..." Endymion roared, eyes blazing with anger.

How dare William joke about Remington?

Remington was pushing a hundred. How could he have such a young grandson?

Endymion's furious rant cut off suddenly, and he stared at William in disbelief.

How could it be?

Could it be him?

Harper was also floored, her heart pounding like crazy.

Remington only had one grandson.

And he was from the Jones family in Skyheart Island!

Harper was so scared her face went pale, her hands shaking, and she stared at William in disbelief.

Endymion was dumbstruck. He had pieced it together; Remington's grandson could only be Aurora's son!

Aurora was Remington's daughter, born when he was nearly sixty, the apple of the Price family's eye.

And she had married into the most powerful family in the world, the Jones family!

So, the guy in front of him was the heir of the Jones family!

He would even have to call William Uncle.

"Are you from the Jones family?" Endymion asked, swallowing hard.

William gave him a cold look, squatted down, slapped him in the face, and laughed. "Call me Uncle."

Endymion wasn't buying it and shouted, "Why should I believe you? I think you're a fraud. Pretending to be from the Jones family, you'll be held accountable by the real Jones family!"

Harper was also confused and skeptical because the whole situation was just too wild.

She couldn't wrap her head around it.

William, the infamous freeloader from Lindwood City, Mary's husband, was actually from the Jones family of Skyheart Island?

And he was her uncle, her dad's cousin.

This was unbelievable.

William glanced at Harper and pulled a bracelet out of his pocket.

Ever since the whole mess with Margaret, he'd kept that bracelet close, like a lucky charm.

When he pulled it out, both Endymion and Harper were floored.

They knew that bracelet.

It was the token the Jones family had given the Price family ages ago. It was part of a pair, and the other one was still back home.

The other bracelet had made an appearance at Remington's 90th birthday bash.

So yeah, they knew it was the real deal.

Plus, it had Aurora's name engraved inside.

"Are you really Aurora's son?" Endymion asked, totally freaked out.

What was he doing?

Even though the Price family had pulled out of the domestic scene, they still had some intel on the Jones family.

But because of family politics, they rarely crossed paths with the Joneses.

So, it wasn't a shocker that Endymion and Harper didn't recognize William.

But now, they did.

"What are you standing there for? Call me Uncle!" William ordered, a mocking grin on his face.

Endymion pouted, looking like a kid who just got his candy taken away.

Even though they were about the same age, he had to call him Uncle.

"Uncle William," Endymion finally muttered, giving in to the pressure.

William gave him a few playful slaps on the head, then stood up, hands in his pockets, and turned to Harper, saying, "Alright, if he bugs you again, just let me know. I'll handle it."

Harper was stunned for a bit before she snapped out of it and mumbled, "Oh."

Endymion got up, stood there awkwardly, and then stammered, "Uncle William, I'll be going now."

With that, he turned to bolt.

"Come back!" William suddenly shouted, his eyes cold as ice, making Endymion freeze in his tracks.

Endymion felt a wave of panic wash over him, remembering something shady he'd done recently—hiring someone to take out Mary.

'It's over. It's all over!' Endymion thought, sweating bullets.

"Endymion, did you do something else tonight?" William asked coldly.

Endymion was so scared he immediately dropped to his knees, grabbed William's pants, and cried, "Uncle William, I was out of my mind. Please, don't hit me anymore. I know I messed up. Please, forgive me! I won't do it again!"

Endymion was bawling his eyes out.

He knew the Jones family was not to be messed with.

William looked at him with a cold stare and said sternly, "If there's a next time, I'll break your hands!"

After all, Endymion was still family.

He couldn't be too harsh.

Endymion felt a wave of relief, quickly got up, and ran off like his life depended on it.

Meanwhile, Harper stood there, looking at William awkwardly.

"What's wrong? Am I that scary?" William asked with a grin.

Harper hesitated for a long time before asking, "Are you really from the Jones family?"

She didn't know much about the Jones family, but she knew they were powerful and untouchable, a family that no one or no organization could compare.

The Price family used to be second only to the Jones family of Skyheart Island.

But after an unspeakable incident, the Price family's status plummeted.

Since then, the Jones family had become a forbidden topic for the Price family.

William nodded and said, "Yeah, I'm the heir of the main branch of the Jones family. My dad's name is Mario, and my mom's name is Aurora."

As he finished speaking, Harper's face was a mix of shock and awe.

So, William had such an impressive background.

He was the powerful young master!

He was at the top of the food chain!

The Henderson family, the Gonzales family, they were all just ants compared to him.

Suddenly, a soft voice came from behind them.

"William, what are you doing here? I've been looking for you."

Mary suddenly appeared not far away, walking over with a smile.

She had stormed off in a huff earlier, but when she couldn't see William following her, she circled back to find him.

"Oh, nothing, I ran into Harper and we were chatting," William quickly explained.

Harper also smiled and said, "Ms. Smith, you're pregnant now. Take it easy. Let William take you home."

Mary smiled gently and stood in front of William, suddenly asking, "By the way, I just heard you mention the Jones family. What's that about?"
