Chapter 21 Star Club.

Star Club!

Why would Mary go to such a place? Wasn’t she supposed to be meeting with a client?

William didn't have time to think. He rushed out of the exhibition hall, his heart burning with anxiety.

Nothing must happen to her. It just couldn't!

Stephanie didn’t understand what was happening when she saw William rushed out.

'Where is he going in such a hurry?'

As William ran out of the Eagle Trade Showroom, about to hail a cab, a bright red Porsche 911 pulled up right in front of him.

Patricia dressed in a black trench coat paired with a low-cut V-neck top and black pencil pants, exuded an alluring charm with her slender, straight legs.

"William, where are you rushing off to?”

Patricia glanced at him, about to get out of the car, when William quickly opened the passenger door and commanded urgently, "Star Club!"

Without asking any questions, Patricia swiftly started the Porsche. The car accelerated with remarkable speed, vanishing instantaneously at the entrance of the Eagle Trade Showroom.

Matthew, who happened to be looking out the door, noticed the scene.

With a resentful gaze, he watched in confusion as the taillights of the vehicle faded into the distance.

'How could William be with Patricia?'

'He was just a loser, a good-for-nothing.'

'Damn it!'

'Could it be that he's cheating?'

'Great!'

A sinister coldness flashed in Matthew's eyes. He had to tell Mary about this. They would surely get a divorce!

'I was simply too clever.'

In less than five minutes, Patricia arrived at the Star Club entrance with the Porsche 911, drawing the astonished gazes of passersby.

Star Club was a well-known club in Lindwood City, a place where all kinds of people, from both the legal and illegal sides of society, gathered.

The enigmatic figure behind the scenes was none other than Leonard, a prominent name on the streets of Lindwood City.

Although not as famous as Alan, he still held some influence in Lindwood City.

Leonard and Alan had always kept their distance, each having their own business.

William got out of the car directly.

At the entrance of the Star Club, one was greeted not by beautiful hostesses, but by two towering, burly men whose arms were thicker than their legs.

They were clearly bouncers.

Their intimidating presence was enough to deter anyone.

“Hey, kid, where do you think you’re going? Can’t you see we’re on a break? Who let you in? Get lost!"

Seeing William about to enter, one of the bouncers directly blocked his way, his face full of hostility.

As he spoke, he arrogantly looked down at William Jones, clearly judging him by his appearance. If it were someone of importance, he would have acted differently.

But William, dressed in cheap clothes and looking ordinary, seemed like a loser not worthy of respect.

Intimidating people was their usual tactic, a way to show that the Star Club wasn’t a place to mess around, saving trouble later.

However, it was evident that he was oblivious to William’s identity and was playing with fire.

William arched his brows ever so slightly, his gaze icy cold as he uttered. "Step aside!"

"Damn! Who do you think you are? You think I'll move for you?"

The bouncer became furious, glaring at William, his sturdy body blocking the way.

With just one arm, he could easily lift William.

"How dare you! Who gave you the right to speak to Mr. Jones like that?"

Suddenly, Patricia' voice sounded from the side.

She had just parked the car in the nearby parking space and saw what was happening, so she hurried over.

The two burly men were shocked when they saw Patricia approaching with a cold expression!

Everyone in their line of work knew Patricia!

She was Alan Jordan’s confidante, the only one, and a woman at that..

In the underground forces of Lindwood City, she held significant status.

Immediately, the two bouncers toned down their arrogance.

"Miss Evans, what brings you here?" The previously arrogant bouncer now acted like a well-behaved child.

They were used to being domineering in the Star Club.

But now, facing Patricia, they felt intimidated. A slight mistake could mean offending Alan.

Patricia snorted, scolded them briefly, and didn't linger.

Because she saw the anxiety in William' eyes, she simply drove away the two men and hurriedly took William into the clubhouse.

At the entrance, two burly men scratched the back of their heads, casting puzzled and wary glances at the backs of Patricia and William.

"What's the deal with that guy? He's got quite a background to have Ms. Evans personally escort him."

"Don't meddle, unless you want to lose your head."

The Star Club’s interior was indeed lavishly decorated, with gold accents and ornate carvings, exuding luxury.

Even the front desk was made of Dragon Mountain marble, extremely expensive.

However, all of this was trash in William' eyes.

As soon as Patricia and William entered the lobby, they were greeted by a stunning woman wearing a red dress with high slits on both sides, swaying her hips as she walked. Her smooth, white arms held a silk fan, and she wore red high heels. Her voice was as melodious as a flute, "Oh, Miss Evans, what brings you here today?"

This woman was the manager of the Star Club, Kathy Nelson, and everyone called her Ms. Nelson.

She carried herself with the poise of an experienced woman of the night.

In terms of status at the Star Club, it was the same as Patricia at the Eagle Trade Showroom.

She was Leonard's confidante, and also his lover.

However, her influence was limited to the Star Club.

Outside these doors, Patricia outranked Kathy.
Everyone knew that Kathy Nelson didn’t like Patricia Evans.
These two women were destined enemies.
"Kathy, don't waste my time. Where is Mary's private room?" Patricia couldn't stand Kathy's coquettishness.

"Patricia, you must be joking. My establishment is solely frequented by gentlemen; there are no ladies present. Furthermore, your abrupt entrance, Patricia, may be deemed improper?"

Kathy raised her eyebrows, swayed her silk fan, and supported her chest with one hand, obviously not happy with Patricia, her words and actions filled with provocation.

William didn't have time to argue with Kathy. He said coldly. "Where is she? I'll only ask once."

Only then did Kathy notice the man standing behind Patricia. "Oh, Miss Evans, isn’t this poor boy too rude? Does he have a say here?"

This man was too much of a loser.

Smack!

A crisp slap echoed.

Kathy, with an incredulous look on her face, covered her cheek and said angrily. "Patricia! How dare you hit me? You are merely Alan's subordinate. What gives you the right to hit me? Do you think you're too good for our Star Club?"

"Yes!" Patricia said coldly.

To have the guts to say that Mr. Jones was too rude, a slap was too lenient!

Star Club?

In Patricia’s eyes, it was just a trash.

Of course, in William's eyes, it was lower than trash.

William frowned, already losing his patience, and said in a cold voice. "I don't care what kind of place your Star Club is, or who's backing you up. I advise you not to mess with me, or I'll flatten this place! Now, tell me, where is Mary's private room?"

William was furious, and the consequences were severe!

If this woman didn’t comply, he wouldn’t hesitate to level the Star Club.

Kathy was taken aback, and then sneered, pointing at Patricia. "Patricia, your poor boy is quite bold. It’s been a long time since someone dared say that. He’s the first!!"

Patricia smiled coldly, not worried that William was bluffing. She knew that Mr. Jones meant what he said.

Not only flattening the Star Club, even demolishing half of Lindwood City wouldn’t be excessive in her eyes.

Then, Patricia said in a cold voice, "Kathy, I don't want to waste time with you. Lead the way. Every minute you delay, the consequences will be beyond your control!"

Kathy, seeing Patricia so domineering, a hint of dissatisfaction flashed in her eyes, and said, "Patricia, are you trying to scare me? Don’t think just because you’re with Alan Jordan, I’m afraid of you. Let me tell you, the guest inside is someone you can’t afford to mess with. Even if Alan came, he’d have to behave. If you want to take that woman, there’s no way!"

"You won’t lead the way?"

Patricia' eyebrows were cold, and her expression was extremely unhappy.

'This Kathy was digging her own grave.'

"Hmph, Patricia, let me be clear. The guest inside is a big shot from Sunshine Bay City. As for the Mary you mentioned, she's indeed stunning and very flavorful; it's her honor to serve the man inside."

Kathy didn’t finish her sentence, but her arrogance and provocation were evident.

Patricia instinctively felt her scalp tingle, and she secretly glanced at William beside her.

He seemed calm, but the anger in his eyes made Patricia shiver.

Even Kathy sensed the change in William.

William' expression was as dark as water, his voice as cold as ice. "Don’t test my patience. Take me to her now! Or I’ll make sure you spend the rest of your life in pain and regret!"
