Chapter 458 Tobias's Ruthlessness!
Tobias felt a wave of relief wash over him upon hearing this.
Ignoring the cold sweat on his forehead, he quickly signaled to Thelonious and scolded, "What are you standing there for? Hurry up and release Mr. Jones!"
Thelonious was very reluctant, but he had no choice.
He had to obey Tobias!
Thelonious stood up, gritting his teeth, and walked over to William. He took out the key to unlock William, but due to his nervousness, he missed the keyhole several times.
After much effort, Thelonious finally managed to unlock the handcuffs on William's wrists.
At that moment, the tension in his heart also eased.
Maybe this was the end of it.
However, to everyone's surprise, William did not let it go. He rubbed his wrists and said, "Although you said you would give me a satisfactory explanation, I must remind you that this matter is not over."
William's words made everyone's hearts tighten again. Every word he said signaled a bad outcome, especially for Tobias and Thelonious, whose faces turned pale. They wished they could send William away immediately!
Now, Thelonious was very clear that William's identity was not simple!
He couldn't afford to provoke him, and neither could the Gonzales family!
It was all his fault for letting anger cloud his judgment. When the Ashford family came, he should have handed William over.
William looked at Tobias, then at Thelonious. His gaze swept over everyone from the Gonzales family at the door like a sharp blade, and no one dared to meet his eyes!
They all lowered their usually proud heads, not saying a word!
"I suppose Tobias knows why I was captured."
William walked up to Tobias and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.
Tobias naturally knew the reason.
His son had been beaten, and Thelonious, as an uncle, sought revenge for them.
Tobias originally didn't know about this.
Those two bastards had kept it from him!
Tobias was furious!
"Because I beat up your two precious sons, Thelonious conspired with outsiders to set a trap and capture me today."
William pointed to Zander at the door and said, "He is one of them."
When Zander saw William pointing at him, he was instantly terrified, his face turning ashen as he collapsed to the ground!
He knew his life was over!
Tobias turned and glared at Zander, shouting, "Zander, you're fired! The Gonzales family has no place for you anymore!"
Upon hearing this, Zander immediately lowered his head, deflated like a punctured balloon.
"I beat your younger son severely, maybe I went too far, but I only injured him and spared his life. Honestly, I'm a good person; I don't like violence."
William lightly tapped Tobias's chest with his finger and gave Thelonious a cold glance.
Tobias was now confused as to why William was telling him this. Was it just to show off?
There was no need for that; with his status, he could leave openly now.
What was William's purpose in doing this?
"Mr. Jones, you are right. My son is incompetent, and I hope you can forgive him."
Tobias forced a smile.
He had no choice. Could he dare to confront William?
That would be suicidal!
William shook his head and said, "Take care of yourself. I'll be waiting for your resolution. Whether the Gonzales family can continue to survive depends on you."
This sentence revealed very important information.
Tobias trembled and understood. He looked at Thelonious and nodded helplessly, "I understand, Mr. Jones. I will handle it."
William then turned his cold gaze to Santino and said, "I'm not killing you now. I want you to go back and tell Jeffery not to push his luck. What he relies on is nothing but ants in my eyes; I can crush them anytime!"
With that, William turned and left, while Santino watched his back, his face filled with endless fatigue and helplessness.
What a powerful presence!
So terrifying!
Was this the real William?
Santino now deeply regretted provoking William!
Yosef and the others didn't say much either and left with Scarlett.
Watching the group leave, Tobias knew that the Gonzales family was about to change.
"Thelonious, the Gonzales family can no longer accommodate you."
Tobias sighed helplessly.
Thelonious also knew he was at a dead end, instantly aging significantly. He asked reluctantly, "Tobias, was it really him?"
Tobias was silent for a moment, then nodded, "The incident eight years ago was his doing. You made the biggest mistake, and you have to bear it yourself."
With that, Tobias turned and left, appearing very heartless.
Thelonious stood there alone, laughing self-deprecatingly.
Then, Thelonious jumped out of the window!
In his final moment, his resentful eyes stared at the departing crowd at the door, shouting, "William, I won't let you go even in death!"
William heard the commotion behind him but didn't stop.
Tobias, who had walked out the door, also heard the noise. A trace of reluctance and helplessness flashed in his eyes as he instructed his men, "Take Thelonious back."
William walked out of the Gonzales Estate, followed by Scarlett and the others.
"Aren't you going to thank me?" Scarlett suddenly asked.
William stopped and looked at Scarlett beside him, "Thank you."
Scarlett rolled her eyes at him, "Just a simple thank you?"
"Then what do you want?" William asked with a half-smile.
"You're such a cheapskate!"
Scarlett rolled her eyes at him again and got into the car, leaving.
William rubbed his chin, shook his head helplessly, and made a call for Alan to come pick him up.
Back at the villa, Mary hadn't slept. She had been worried all night, making various calls.
But as soon as people heard it was the Gonzales family from Imperial City, they all declined.
Mary was very anxious.
Was William really taken away by the Gonzales family?
In the end, with no other options, she was about to call Jeffery when a figure walked through the villa's front door.
It was William!
The moment Mary saw him, her eyes turned red, and she rushed over, hugging him tightly, sobbing, "You scared me to death. They didn't do anything to you, did they?"
William hugged Mary and comforted her, "It's okay. Look at who I am. It's all good now."
Mary wiped her tears, pouting as she lightly punched him a few times, "You made me so worried. I was even ready to..."
"Ready to what?"
William asked with a smile.
Mary rolled her eyes at him, "Nothing."
They both smiled at each other.
That night, Mary asked a lot of questions, like how William came back, but he skillfully dodged them all.
The next morning, Mary stayed at the villa to rest, while William went out for business, returning in the afternoon.
As soon as he walked in, he saw Margaret sneaking down the stairs.
Seeing William suddenly return, Margaret was startled and quickly forced a smile, saying, "Oh, you're back. I'll make you some food."
As she spoke, Margaret clenched her fists tightly, as if holding something.
She was overly enthusiastic, very enthusiastic.
William felt a bit uncomfortable but didn't say anything.
Just as Margaret was about to pass by him, William suddenly asked, "Margaret, what are you up to this time?"
