Chapter 443 Grandpa's Gift

William kept his cool and said, "You set the trap, so I'm just playing by your rules."

Santino's face turned dark, and he snapped, "Why should I trust you?"

'If he truly has a hundred billion dollars, I'm gonna be rich!' Santino thought.

William didn't say a word. He dialed a number and handed the phone to Santino. "You know Alan, right?"

Santino and Alan had a deal to stay out of each other's way.

Santino looked confused and asked, "What's this about?"

William replied calmly, "Answer it and find out."

Santino took the phone, and Alan's voice came through, "Santino, I vouch for Mr. Jones."

Santino started to panic, thinking, 'Who is this guy, really?'

He glanced at the dealer, and they exchanged a knowing look.

"Fine! Open it up!" Santino shouted. "Let's see why you're so confident!"

The dealer raised his hand, lifted the cover, and announced loudly, "134, low!"

The room went dead silent.

Santino's smile vanished instantly.

"How can it be low?" he asked, stunned.

The dealer was just as shocked. He had rigged it. How did this happen?

Santino stormed over and slapped the dealer, yelling, "Get out!"

Margaret was also shocked. Did they just win?

Santino was in disbelief. He had just lost a hundred billion dollars on a bet. How was that possible?

He snapped out of it, furious, and flipped the table. "You cheated! You're dead! Break his hands and legs. Throw him in the river!"

As soon as he finished, five or six bodyguards surrounded William.

Margaret screamed in fear.

William's face darkened. He stared at Santino and asked sternly, "You lost the bet, and now you want to back out?"

Margaret added, "Exactly! Is this how your casino operates? If word gets out, let's see how you keep this place running!"

Santino sneered and said, "I make the rules here! Whether you can leave or not depends on me."

He knew he couldn't let them leave; the boss had tasked him with extorting a sum.

But not only did he fail, he also lost a hundred billion dollars!

William's eyebrows furrowed, a cold glint in his eyes. "Are you sure you can stop me?"

Just then, the door was kicked open from the outside.

A dozen bodyguards in black suits rushed in. Alan, in a gray plaid suit, walked in and stood respectfully in front of William, bowing. "Mr. Jones, sorry I'm late."

William just nodded.

Santino, seeing Alan barging in with people, knew this wasn't going to end well.

And Alan was so respectful to William.

So, William's identity wasn't simple.

Santino asked angrily, "Alan! We had a non-aggression pact. Who let you bring people in?"

Alan turned around, looked at him indifferently, and said, "Santino, how dare you touch Mr. Jones? You're asking for it!"

With that, he tossed an iPad to Santino, the screen showing footage from a drone.

The footage showed every level of the cruise ship swarming with bodyguards in black suits while a private helicopter hovered overhead.

In other words, Alan's men had the cruise ship on lockdown.

Santino's face darkened, his brow furrowing. After a long silence, he said, "Let them go."

A few minutes later, under Santino's gloomy gaze, William and the others left on a yacht.

Santino wanted to call people to stop them several times but restrained himself.

Just then, his boss callded him. Santino, with a face full of guilt, said, "I messed up."

A lazy, seductive woman's voice said, "I know. Just keep an eye on Margaret."

Savannah had already left the cruise ship earlier and was now on her way to Imperial City.

After hanging up the phone, she lazily stretched and smiled coquettishly at a woman reading a book in the back seat of the Rolls-Royce. "Santino messed up."

The woman was stunning, with a delicate face, long eyelashes, and bright, intelligent eyes. Her lips occasionally curved into a beautiful dimpled smile as she read.

When she spoke, her voice was as melodious as a songbird's.

She said softly, "My brother won't be easy to deal with. Savannah, you have to work hard."

Meanwhile, Margaret was very excited.

"William, we really owe it to you this time, you're such a great gambler!" Margaret exclaimed, smiling as she approached William, her tone now flattering.

"It's no big deal," William replied, not wanting to get entangled with her.

However, Margaret seemed intent on entangling him.

"William, you said you have a hundred billion dollars?" she asked, her eyes wide, staring at William as if looking at a gold mine.

"No, I just said it casually," William replied. "I have other things to do, so I won't see you off."

With that, he left with Alan.

Margaret and Delia stood there, watching his departing figure, unable to calm down for a long time.

Delia asked, "Margaret, do you think William was serious or not?"

Margaret snorted, a conspiratorial smile on her face. "Whether it's true or not, he definitely has money. We must find a way to get it from him."

Meanwhile, William arrived at Alan's company to discuss the upcoming secret business meeting.

Due to some unexpected circumstances, this year's meeting would be postponed, roughly to mid-next month.

William didn't mind, leaving everything to Alan to handle.

After dealing with some trivial matters, he went to the hospital.

As soon as he entered, he saw Mary talking to Harper.

'Why is she here?' William wondered.

Mary saw William and smiled. "William, she's looking for you."

William walked in skeptically, glanced at Harper, and asked, "What do you want?"

Harper gestured for him to step outside and said, "It's a private matter."

William looked at Mary, said a few words, and then followed Harper out of the ward.

"What is it? Did Endymion cause you trouble again?" William asked.

Harper shook her head and took out a small box from her pocket, handing it to him. "This is from my great-grandfather. He wants to see you."
