Her chestnut hair was elegantly swept up, revealing a slender, alabaster neck. Her eyes had that deep, mysterious sparkle, and she rocked a red evening gown that clung to her like it was made for her, showing off every curve. She looked like the brightest star in the night sky.

Even Mary couldn't help but blurt out, "She's truly stunning."
Scarlett's looks and figure were on par with Mary's, making tonight's party a showdown of two beauties. But Scarlett had a slight edge because she was an international superstar, after all..
Plus, Mary was pregnant, so she'd naturally put on a bit of weight.
But William's reaction was different from everyone else's. He stood in the corner, shaking his head and sighing.

"You are such a sweet-talker," Mary said, smiling and feeling pretty happy.
She knew Scarlett was super famous, an idol to many.
Would William like her?
Scarlett walked onto the stage, her eyes scanning the crowd before landing briefly on William in the corner.
With everyone watching, Scarlett spoke, "Hello, everyone."
She smiled and said, "I went abroad to study early and have been building my career overseas. It's an honor to be at this party today."
The hall erupted in applause.
Jeffery, also in a corner, couldn't take his eyes off Scarlett on the stage. Her stunning figure made it impossible for him to look away.
Many men were like Jeffery, completely captivated by Scarlett's beauty, unable to help but swallow.
"Honestly, I'm relatively new to the pharmaceutical industry. I'm eager to learn from all of you and excited about the journey ahead. Let's support each other moving forward," Scarlett said with a warm smile.
"Let's toast to our cooperation and friendship," she said, raising her glass of red wine. Her smile had already intoxicated most of the men in the audience.
After speaking, she stepped down from the stage. A crowd quickly gathered around, eager to catch a glimpse of her or perhaps struck up a conversation.
After all, Scarlett was the international superstar. A single endorsement from her would be worth a fortune.
And she was also tonight's billion-dollar investor. If they could establish a relationship with her, expanding their business overseas would be a breeze.
But Scarlett didn't stick around much, just nodding and smiling at them in greeting.
Mary and William seemed a bit out of place, standing in the corner, chatting and sipping red wine like Scarlett's presence didn't matter to them.
After all, Scarlett's attendance was a decision made by BK Pharmaceuticals's board of directors.
To be honest, Mary was also surprised when she found out Scarlett was coming.
Right then, Scarlett strolled up to Mary with a smile.

Mary was a bit taken aback. Why would Scarlett be so friendly to her?

Given Scarlett's friendly vibe, Mary couldn't be indifferent. She nodded and said softly, "Hey, welcome to Lindwood City."
Scarlett sneaked a glance at William and saw he was deliberately looking elsewhere, which made her smile even more. She said, "I've heard BK Pharmaceuticals is a big deal in Lindwood City's pharma scene. I eagerly look forward to collaborating with you in the future."
This signified Scarlett decision to partner with BK Pharmaceuticals.
Many people in the room were surprised, even jealous.
Since stepping down from the stage, Scarlett hadn't really talked to anyone, just nodding and smiling.
But now, she walked straight to Mary. Her actions spoke volumes.
She proactively said such words to Mary, making her intentions crystal clear.
Scarlett wanted BK Pharmaceuticals as her partner.

Meanwhile, everyone else was quite disheartened to learn that Scarlett had come solely to collaborate with BK Pharmaceuticals.
William was a bit frustrated, watching Scarlett and Mary chatting happily. He knew very well that Scarlett was here for him.
Otherwise, with so many people around, why would she choose Mary?
William looked at Scarlett's face, lost in thought. Was Scarlett trying to get close to him?
Was it the Ashford family's plan?
Mary saw William staring at Scarlett, who was talking to others, and whispered in his ear, "William, it's very impolite to stare at Scarlett like that, even though she is indeed very beautiful."
Apparently Mary was jealous.
"She's just average," William replied calmly.
Mary's eyes lit up at his words. "Oh, you're quick to respond now."
William chuckled. Women were such strange creatures.
Were they really so worried about their husbands liking other women?

The smile on Mary's face gradually froze as she saw Scarlett, with a charming smile, standing in front of William.
"Hey, my name is Scarlett. I feel like I've seen you somewhere before?" Scarlett said with a smile, looking like a noble princess.
Mary, standing beside, felt her heart skip a beat upon hearing this.
Did Scarlett know William?
"William, do you know her?" Mary asked suspiciously in a low voice, her eyes fixed on Scarlett.
Mary had a bad feeling.
Just as William was about to speak, Scarlett smiled again and said, "Mr. Jones, you don't recognize me so soon?"
Everyone was shocked.
Mary also turned to look at William, noticing his expression had turned cold.
