Chapter 162 I Bought the Company

At first glance, they looked like a couple reunited after a long separation.

Mary was also taken aback and gently patted Isaac. "Alright, Isaac."

Then, the two separated, but Isaac still gazed at Mary with adoration.

Mary's face turned red, showing a shy expression.

This made William even angrier. What was going on?

Mary showed a shy expression to another man?

"William, you're here too?"

Mary was suddenly startled, noticing William standing by the kitchen. She quickly distanced herself from Isaac. She lowered her head out of embarrassment.

Oh no!

'What should I do? Would William be angry about what just happened?' thought Mary.

Mary was now dying of shame.

Isaac was stunned and finally realized that William didn't look like a nanny. He asked, "Mary, who is he?"

Mary quickly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear andwalked over to William, smiling as she introduced him, "Isaac, this is my husband, William."

Husband?

Isaac was stunned. Mary was married?

How could this be?

Mary had married such an ordinary man.

Isaac felt very angry, angry at William.

This obviously unremarkable William was actually married to Mary.

He had waited for six years and came back to marry Mary, only to find this situation.

Isaac was about to explode with anger.

Mary smiled and immediately pulled William into the bedroom.

As soon as they entered the bedroom, William angrily shook off Mary's hand and said sarcastically, "Quite a passionate hug."

Mary, now full of shame, explained, "William, it's not what you think. He... he is..."

"What is it?" William crossed his arms and looked at Mary coldly.

He couldn't believe Mary had hugged Isaac so warmly.

Mary bit her lip and explained, "He is Isaac. He was my boyfriend during high school, but don't misunderstand, we were very innocent. You should know that."

"Then what was that just now? Do you think I'm blind?"

William was jealous and very upset. He turned and walked out of the bedroom.

Mary didn't have time to explain and felt very frustrated, so she followed him out.

In the living room, Margaret watched William and Mary coming out one after the other. She could clearly sense William's anger. She felt secretly pleased.

The bigger the misunderstanding, the better.

Ideally, they would get divorced soon.

"Mary, where are you going?"

Margaret noticed Mary following William out and immediately stood up to stop her. "Come back here. Isaac is still here. You stay here and chat with him."

Mary looked at William, who was about to walk out the door, feeling very conflicted. She said, "Mom, William and I are going out for a bit. We'll be back soon."

Margaret was angry. She couldn't miss such a good opportunity. So she pulled Mary to sit on the sofa immediately and shouted at William, "If you want to leave, just go. Save yourself the embarrassment."

William felt even more upset hearing this.

He had tolerated Margaret for three years, but today he decided not to.

"Why aren't you leaving? What are you standing there for? There's no place for you today."

Margaret was displeased when she saw William not leaving, with her face full of discontent.

She glared at William with disdain.

William didn't say a word. Margaret had been looking down on him for a long time, and he was used to it by now.

As she saw Margaret belittle William in front of others, Mary felt very uncomfortable. She stood up and tried to pull William away.

"Mom, we're going out to buy something. We'll be back soon." She looked at William, signaling him to follow her out.

However, William stood still without moving a step.

Margaret was happy to see them bickering and suddenly said to Mary, "Mary, didn't you say on the phone that there was a problem at your company? Isaac is the CEO of Orion Pharmaceuticals. Why don't you ask him if he can help you out?"

Isaac showed concern immediately when he heard Mary had work troubles. "Mary, where do you work? Let me see if I can help."

"BK Pharmaceuticals," Margaret answered quickly.

"BK Pharmaceuticals, I know it. It's small issue, I can handle it," Isaac said with a confident smile.

"That's wonderful, thank you, Isaac. You're really young and capable." Margaret beamed, clearly very fond of Isaac.

"Unlike someone who can't help at all and just deliver lousy takeout every day," Margaret said disdainfully, glancing at William with dissatisfaction.

William frowned and looked at Mary, asking, "Why didn't you tell me you had trouble at work?"

Mary was also very annoyed today, especially with William's attitude earlier, which made her very angry. She replied coldly, "You can't solve our company's problems anyway."

William frowned, knowing that Mary was starting to get angry with him.

The two stood there, a cold atmosphere spreading, neither willing to back down.

"Don't worry. I'll help you solve it." William thought for a moment and lowered his stance.

After all, she was his wife.

But as soon as he said this, Margaret burst into mocking laughter, "Can you stop bragging? How can you help with Mary's company issues? Who are you?"

Isaac also shook his head and smiled helplessly. He had figured out what kind of person Mary's husband was.

A man who loved to boast, was not respected by Margaret, and had nothing to his name.

How could such a useless man marry Mary?

At that moment, Isaac vowed to take Mary away from William and give her a bright future.

'Mary could only belong to me,' thought Isaac.

"Mrs. Turner, William is just worried about Mary. Don't be too hard on him. How about this, didn't you mention that he delivers food? Our company is hiring, how about I arrange a job for him?" Isaac said generously with a smile.

"That would be great, Isaac. Thank you so much," Margaret said, surprised at first, then delighted.

Because William's job as a food delivery driver had been a source of ridicule from the neighbors, getting him a new job seemed like a good idea.

Mary was also taken aback, not expecting Isaac to help William.

"Alright, I'll call the HR manager now," Isaac said, taking out his phone and stepping outside.

Isaac had already decided to thoroughly humiliate William and make him realize the gap between them.

He wanted to ensure that this useless man would obediently leave Mary.

After a while, Isaac came back in and smiled. "It's done. You can go check it out today. William, what do you think? Want to go?"

"Yes, definitely go!"

Before William could answer, Margaret had already agreed.

"Sorry, I think delivering takeout is fine. Besides, I don't think the job you arranged for me is better than what I have now," William said calmly.

'Do I still need to work? Who can afford to hire me?' thought William.

Margaret's face immediately darkened, and she said unhappily, "Isaac is helping you, and is that your attitude?"

"I don't need his help."

"You are driving me crazy! Are you going to deliver takeout for the rest of your life? You're useless! Get out and never come back to my house!"

Margaret exploded, glaring at William.

William was also helpless. He looked at Mary, who turned her head away, ignoring him.

Did he do something wrong?

Women were so unreasonable.

Clearly, it was Mary who did something wrong, but now it seemed like he was the one at fault.

Mary knew that William didn't need a job. Just owning Villa No.1 in Dragon City was enough.

But Margaret didn't know that and gave an ultimatum, "William, if you don't go today, you and Mary should get a divorce!"

With that, Margaret angrily crossed her arms and sat on the sofa.

The atmosphere in the house was very tense.

Isaac didn't bother to say anything, sitting diagonally across, sipping coffee, and feeling very relaxed. He said, "Mary, I didn't expect that after six years, you would end up with such a loser."

'Mary, you've changed. You married such trash. Where did your former pride go?' Isaac thought.

Mary frowned. She didn't like others criticizing William in front of her.

She looked at William and persuaded, "Go, just to put my mom at ease."

William, feeling helpless, glanced at Margaret and decided to reveal the truth, "Mom, what if I told you that I spent over a million dollars to buy the takeout company?"
