Chapter 76 Kneel and Apologize!
Arrogant and presumptuous! That a good-for-nothing like him dared to make such a bold statement was simply laughable!
Patricia was disdainful.
She was determined in her heart that today she would make William pay the price and drive that slut Mary out of the company!
This company belonged to her boyfriend, and therefore, it was hers!
Patricia would not tolerate any woman who looked better than her in the company, posing a threat to her.
At that moment, Brenda stood beside Mary, her eyes filled with a young girl's infatuation as she looked at William.
William was simply too cool just now!
Such explosive masculinity was what Brenda had always longed for in a partner.
But he was too brainless, daring to hit Patricia, the vice president, the Chairman's mistress.
What should she do? Brenda was torn, constantly thinking of a solution. Then, she sneakily walked aside and sent a text to her father: [Dad, your invincibly adorable daughter has been hit in the company.]
The reply came quickly: [Baby, who dared to hit you? Dad will make them pay with their life!]
Brenda's father was actually a very influential figure, but now he had retired. Brenda had never mentioned this to anyone before. Moreover, Brenda's father was very fond of her. He did not allow anyone to bully his daughter. Whoever dared to bully his daughter would pay a heavy price!
Meanwhile, in the office area, many colleagues were chattering.
"Damn! William is too fierce, daring to hit Patricia, he's definitely finished!"
"This good-for-nothing, really thinks he's somebody, now we're all going to suffer because of him."
"Exactly, he had to show off and now let's see what he does next, Mary is definitely done for too."
These Monday morning quarterbacks were very angry about William's actions for undoubtedly adding trouble for them.
If the Chairman got involved, they would all be in trouble too.
At this point, Patricia was still arrogant. "Today, even if you kneel down and beg me, I won't let either of you off! Especially you! I must break your hands!"
William, however, shook his head calmly. She probably didn't know what she was about to face.
Soon, Larry rushed back. As he entered the company, his face was frosty, and everyone stepped aside.
They knew it was over!
The Chairman was angry.
"Honey, you're finally here, look at my face. My double eyelids have even come undone!"
Patricia, seeing Larry coming, immediately twisted her perky behind, squeezed out her chest and went up to him, putting on a very aggrieved victim's face.
Larry, seeing Patricia's beaten state, immediately felt sorry for her. "Patricia, don't cry, didn't I rush over right away? Rest assured, I will definitely seek justice for you and punish the violent offender!"
After speaking, Larry looked around and roared. "Who did it? Show yourself!"
Everyone's gaze fell on William. Larry also realized that the perpetrator was this ordinary-looking man.
"Who are you? What gives you the right to hit someone in my company?" Larry demanded with an aggressive stance.
In his company, hitting his mistress, was simply too audacious!
However, William replied very calmly. "My name is William. I'm Mary's husband."
Mary's husband, William?
Larry suddenly had a bad feeling, and turning his head, indeed, he saw Mary also sitting aside, her face full of injuries.
He understood, it must have been Patricia causing trouble, and he had come for revenge.
But would he speak up for Mary?
Certainly not. Patricia was his woman, the woman who served him every night. So, Larry chose to ignore it all, his expression coldly stern. "I don't care who you are, hitting someone in my company means you have to take responsibility!"
Oh, Larry, truly ruined by a woman.
He would never have imagined that William was the mysterious William who had George make a call last time. If he knew, he'd probably be kneeling on the ground begging for mercy by now.
But it wasn't Larry's fault. Who would have thought that Mary's husband, known as a good-for-nothing, could turn the tables in his company?
Mary also didn't expect Mr. Hall, who was usually quite nice to her, to be so strange at this moment, demanding William take responsibility without asking anything.
She was very angry. As she was just about to stand up, William gave her a look.
Then, Mary silently sat back down.
Following that, William turned his head, looking very calmly at Larry, and asked. "Are you the Chairman of BK?"
Larry proudly raised his head, his beer belly protruding. "Yes, I am Larry. Don't think just because you are Mary's husband, this matter can be overlooked. Patricia is our company's vice president, and for you to hit someone so arrogantly is simply outrageous. There's only one way to resolve this today. One is to apologize to Patricia and ask for her forgiveness, and the other is to compensate for the medical expenses."
Larry finished speaking, glancing at Mary without leaving a trace.
To say he didn't have a little thought about Mary, a woman so ripe, that was impossible. Why would such a woman marry a good-for-nothing?
Patricia at this moment had a domineering expression on her face, pointing at William and shouting. "He must kneel down and apologize to me, I want to slap him ten times!"
Patricia was full of anger inside. She had been hit just now, which was simply too embarrassing, and the whole company had seen it.
She couldn't swallow this insult.
"Okay, Patricia, we'll do as you say, let him kneel down and apologize to you, then slap him ten times," Larry said with a pleasing smile.
As for William, he didn't take him seriously at all.
But for Mary, he still had a heart of compassion. "However, Mary is after all our company's marketing manager, you don't have to hold her accountable, okay?"
Even at this time, this old lecher was still trying to leave a good impression on Mary.
Brenda pursed her lips in disgust, muttering. "Real scum!"
Mary also frowned.
Patricia was also taken aback, obviously not so easily placated.
However, she was cunning, aware that it was prudent to afford Larry Hall some semblance of respect at this juncture. So she coldly said, "Fine, but Mary must apologize to me."
Larry nodded, turned to Mary, and with the authority of a Chairman said, "Mary, let's just settle this matter. Please apologize to Patricia, and your husband should kneel down to apologize, and slap himself ten times. As for the medical expenses, there's no need for you to compensate, I know your family is in a tough spot and can't afford it. How about that?"
Such words were truly touching.
Larry smiled smugly, thinking this arrangement would surely make Mary grateful to him. After all, her husband was a good-for-nothing, his dignity didn't matter.
Unexpectedly, however, Mary finally couldn't help but stand up and speak coldly. "Mr. Hall, I hereby formally submit my resignation to you! This incident started with Patricia, it's impossible for me to apologize! And for my husband to kneel down and apologize, even more impossible!"
Larry was taken aback; he hadn't expected Mary to be so stubborn.
"Mary, you'd better think it through. If you resign, will you have an income? Relying on your good-for-nothing husband to deliver food to support you? Don't forget, you still have a daughter who needs surgery," Larry threatened.
He didn't want Mary to resign, otherwise, he would have even less chance of getting her.
At this moment, William stood up, with a calm smile. "Mr. Hall, you don't need to worry about my daughter's affairs, you should be more concerned about yourself."
Larry 's face turned furious. He shouted, "Who are you to speak here? Get down on your knees and apologize to Patricia, otherwise, I'll have someone take care of you!"
Too overbearing! William dared to speak to him like this. He was the Chairman of a company, and William was just a delivery man, a piece of trash. The difference in their status was like heaven and earth.
"Exactly! This trash, he's way too arrogant! Mr. Hall, you must teach him a harsh lesson, avenge me!" Patricia fanned the flames, her face full of cold laughter and provocation.
William, however, said calmly, "Mr. Hall, I hope you can still say such words in a moment."
After saying that, he took out his cell phone, opened a video, and played it in front of Larry.
