Chapter 273 I'll Take Your Life!

North Street was the busiest area in all of Lindwood City. Bars, dance halls, entertainment clubs—any form of entertainment could be found here.

This place was beyond the control, with all sorts of people and intertwined underground forces. Besides the bustling activity, there was nothing but chaos!

William got out of the car, looking around somewhat aimlessly. Despite it being his first visit, he sensed a distinct difference from the city center.

The women on the roadside were dressed very provocatively.

Groups of young men, drunk and rowdy, were coming out of various clubs and KTVs one after another.

Frowning, William stood on the street and looked around while muttering to himself, "Meeting in this godforsaken place?"

Just then, a piercingly cold laugh came from behind William!

A voice said, "William, what a coincidence. I didn't expect to run into you here. Looks like you won't be getting away tonight!"

The speaker was Dashiell, who was slowly getting out of the car with a plaster cast hanging around his neck, looking quite comical.

Behind him was a man as strong as an ox, none other than Elric, who had come alone.

In Elric's eyes, no one could beat him.

"Oh, it's Mr. Gonzales. Well, didn't get beaten enough at Royal Orchid Fine Dining earlier?" William sneered. He noticed the black-skinned man behind Dashiell and understood his strength with just one glance.

He was a troublesome guy!

It was impressive that Dashiell had found such a big guy to deal with him!

However, William was pondering whether the Gonzales family needed a little lesson.

"Don't be so arrogant! Tonight, I'm going to break your limbs and make you kneel on the ground like a dog and beg for mercy!" Dashiell declared.

He tore off his mask of pretense and said grimly, "William, I've never been humiliated like this in my entire life! So, you must die!"

William scowled, realizing the wealthy kids all shared a problem in common: excessive talking.

William chuckled coldly and said, "Mr. Gonzales, don't blame me for not warning you. If you don't leave now, you might not be able to leave at all."

"Still so arrogant even when you're about to die!" Dashiell said.

Furious, he ordered Elric, "Get him! I want his limbs broken!"

"Okay," Elric replied, his expression still cold, a chilling light flashing in his eyes.

Elric, known for his formidable strength, once punched an opponent several feet away in Lindwood City's underground boxing circuit.

William chuckled coldly, saying, "Dashiell, don't blame me for not warning you. The consequences are on you!"

"You really are stubborn! Do you know who he is? Elric! You better think about your own situation," Dashiell taunted, his face full of sneers and confidence.

William shrugged, not caring at all.

"Sorry, buddy," Elric said.

He cracked his knuckles, his steps heavy as lead, and swung his fist towards William's face!

This punch was extremely powerful and would definitely knock out an average person if it hit them.

"Hey, isn't this Elric? Well, just got out of jail?"

Just then, a teasing voice sounded behind Dashiell.

Oberon was holding a shiny iron rod in his left hand, his right hand on Dashiell's shoulder. Behind him stood twenty or thirty men, all looking very imposing!

Dashiell was scared. He turned his head and saw Oberon's very familiar face with a chilling smile.

Looking at the twenty or thirty men behind him, each holding an iron rod, it was clear they were well-prepared!

"What do you want?" Dashiell said, a bit scared, his voice trembling.

Oberon said nothing and nodded towards Elric, saying, "Elric, long time no see. Why so angry right after getting out?"

William had asked him to bring people over, saying there was something going on, but he didn't expect the opponent to be Elric!

Meanwhile, Elric had already withdrawn his fist, which was only half an arm's length away from William's face!

He was puzzled by William's faint chill when he threw the punch!

That ferocity from William was something he had never seen before!

Could it be an illusion?

Elric was actually somewhat relieved that Oberon and his men had arrived, allowing him to stop his punch in time.

Elric turned his head to see Oberon, an old acquaintance.

He glanced at the men behind Oberon and said with a self-deprecating smile, "I didn't expect that the little punk who used to hang around the streets every day now has his own crew. Not bad."

Throughout the whole process, Elric maintained an arrogant posture.

Oberon wasn't angry; instead, he joked, "Elric, you got out and didn't even let us know so we could come pick you up."

"No need. I'm here today for one person."

Elric said coldly, "You can take this person away, but his limbs must be broken. That's what I promised Mr. Gonzales."

As he spoke, a fierce aura emanated from him.

"Elric, you'd better not get involved in this matter. Times have changed. Lindwood City is not what it used to be. Many things can't be decided just because we have a few people who can fight and aren't afraid to die. Nowadays, it's all about connections and money," Oberon replied coldly.

Elric's face turned cold, and he smiled sinisterly, saying, "So you're determined to interfere?"

"Elric, don't make it difficult for us. The person behind you is not someone you can mess with," Oberon said truthfully.

He had fought with William before and knew exactly William's skills.

Moreover, William was not an ordinary person.

Elric sneered and pulled out a double-edged dagger from his waist, saying, "Oh, interesting. Looks like I'll have to make it difficult for you."

"Hey, Elric, why bother?" Oberon sighed, swung the iron rod in his hand, and smashed it into Dashiell's knee!

With a sound of bones cracking, the rod shattered Dashiell's kneecap!

Dashiell let out a heart-wrenching scream, clutching his knee as he collapsed to the ground.

"Elric, don't push me. You don't want your master to get hurt, do you?" Oberon spoke harshly, his face cold.

Elric scowled, glancing at the screaming Dashiell, then raised his dagger, speaking in a deep voice, "Let him go!"

Oberon shook his head and suddenly said, "Mr. Jones, what do you think we should do?"

Only then did Elric notice William.

Oberon actually called him Mr. Jones?

William then said casually, "He wants my limbs, right? One leg isn't enough. Break the other one too."

Hearing this, Dashiell, lying on the ground, felt as if he had heard a death knell and broke out in a cold sweat.

"You dare! William, if you dare do this, I swear, even if I have to turn Lindwood City upside down, I'll kill you!" Dashiell announce.

Terrified, he screamed hysterically, "Elric, get him! Kill him!"

Even at this point, Dashiell was still unrepentant, shouting desperately.

William shook his head, helpless, as Oberon silently raised the iron rod, smashing it into Dashiell's other knee.

As the excruciating pain hit, Dashiell let out a scream that made everyone passing by shudder!

It was too tragic; Dashiell's legs were both broken!

Dashiell clutched his legs, the veins in his neck bulging, sweat rolling down his forehead!

If he hadn't been regularly exercising, he would have passed out by now. But now, he was fully aware of the intense pain coming from his knees!

Every second felt like torture from hell!

Elric frowned deeply, his gaze towards William filled with intense coldness!

Breaking Dashiell's kneecaps right in front of him was a blatant disregard for him!

He hadn't expected that in just six years, Lindwood City would produce such a character.

"You're courting death!" Elric said in a low voice, his voice rough and harsh, like a grinding stone.

William, however, looked indifferent. He shrugged and said, "He wanted my limbs, so I'm just returning the favor. Didn't you used to do things this way?"

With a sudden flash of silver light, Elric attacked, the double-edged dagger in his hand aiming straight for William's chest!
