Chapter 251 He Was So Manly!
Oberon smiled initially, but now he was stunned. He said, "You say it. You're our boss now. Whatever you say, we'll follow."
William put his arm around Oberon's shoulder, and a few men formed a circle. He said, "First, no more of those sneaky, disgraceful things we used to do! Second, no infighting! That's absolutely not allowed! Third, we must uphold righteousness and integrity!"
After speaking, William saw the expressions on Oberon and the others change repeatedly.
He knew these ruffians would continue their sneaky, disgraceful acts, since that was what they were accustomed to.
But William couldn't allow it; he had his own principles and plans!
"Alright!" Oberon said.
He finally nodded, gritting his teeth as he said, "From now on, you're our boss. We'll do whatever you say."
William patted Oberon's shoulder with a smile and said, "Let's leave it at that for now. I'll have Alan contact you later."
"As for your future livelihood, I'll find you a place to work as security guards. It's more promising than your current lifestyle."
"Really?" Oberon burst into tears, and the men behind him were also excited, shouting loudly, "Thank you!"
They didn't want to do illegal things; if it weren't for survival, they wouldn't do such disgraceful things.
They also wanted to live in the sunlight and be upright people!
But after William left, they realized something.
Someone said, "Oberon, did William just say Alan would contact us, is that true?"
"This..." Oberon paused, unsure of how to respond.
The group was confused.
Did William really know Alan?
After this, William returned to the hospital. After checking on Sarah, he went to the rest area and took out his phone. After some thought, he called Mary.
"What's up, are you at the hospital?" Mary asked.
Mary's voice on the other end was a bit tired but very pleasant, like a nightingale.
"Yes, honey, I need your help with something," William said with a playful smile.
"Help? You need my help? Go ahead, what is it?" Mary teased, especially after knowing last night that Jessica lived in such a big estate; she knew William's family was definitely not simple.
As for how complicated it was, Mary didn't plan to ask.
She would wait for William to tell her himself.
"Is the company's security team short of people? I have a couple of men looking for work recently," William said.
He quickly added, "Honey, these men of mine are in great shape and experienced fighters, they would be perfect as security guards!"
"Alright, I got it. Have your men report in a bit," Mary said and then hung up, continuing to bury herself in her work.
William experienced a sudden surge of joy and instructed Oberon to wait for him at the BK Pharmaceuticals entrance.
Oberon immediately burst into tears over the phone, swearing loyalty to William!
When William arrived at the company entrance, he saw Oberon and his men all dressed in security uniforms, standing respectfully in a line, waiting for his instructions.
"William!" they called out in unison.
The synchronized shout startled William.
There were many people coming and going at the entrance of the building, and they were all shocked by this scene.
Someone exclaimed, "Wow, I didn't know William was a rich kid. Look, these are all his bodyguards!"
Another one chimed in, "Yeah, it's so cool. Did you hear that? So impressive! I really like it!"
For a moment, a lot of women gathered at the entrance, all looking at William with infatuation.
But naturally, there were also those who were unhappy with William's display, mocking.
Someone scoffed, "You know nothing. He's just living off a woman."
Another sneered, "Exactly, sneaking into the company through a woman and making such a big scene, it's embarrassing."
A voice said, "Haha, what a loser. I don't know how Ms. Smith married such a person."
Meanwhile, William walked up to Oberon and his men, smiling as he said, "Not bad, you look the part. Work hard, and you won't be mistreated."
"Rest assured, from now on, I will serve you with all my heart and soul!" Oberon said as he raised his right hand, clenched his fist, and placed it over his heart!
The row of his subordinates behind him also raised their fists, placing them over their hearts, mimicking Oberon's gesture.
"Serve you with all our heart and soul!" they called out in chorus.
Of course, their voices were much louder than Oberon's!
The overwhelming force of their voices resonated throughout the entire plaza.
The infatuated women at the entrance almost fainted right there!
William was too handsome!
He was simply their dream prince!
Keith was already in a bad mood today, having been scolded by his father last night.
The Miller family was pressing hard because of the company's issues.
He had finally contacted the big shot in the Southern District's pharmaceutical sales channel, the Sanchez family, only to have William ruin it.
So, Keith was furious, frowning.
From a distance, he saw the commotion at the company entrance and immediately frowned.
"What is going on! This is outrageous!" Keith shouted.
Pointing his finger at Oberon and the others, he yelled, "Who are you guys. Why are you dressed like that?"
Oberon just gave Keith a cold glance and ignored him.
Keith's face darkened, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw William standing nearby. He asked in a deep voice, "What are you doing here?"
"Why can't I be here?" William grinned and retorted.
Keith snorted and didn't want to argue with him. He turned angrily and pointed at Oberon and the others, questioning irritably, "Who are you? Who let you in here, dressed in this junk? This is BK Pharmaceuticals, not a place for you to make a fool of yourselves!"
Oberon furrowed his brow, sizing up Keith. He knew this guy was someone important, but Oberon wasn't vulnerable. He retorted, "Who are you?"
Keith sneered, "Who am I? You don't even know who I am. What are you here for?"
"We're here to work!" Oberon replied seriously.
"Work? What kind of work?" Keith mocked coldly. "You bunch of paupers, working at BK Pharmaceuticals? Do you think this is a shelter that takes in anyone?"
As he said this, Keith glanced at William, making it clear he was indirectly insulting William.
Oberon was furious, and so were the men behind him, some almost ready to act!
But Oberon held them back. He knew that with William present, he couldn't act without his signal. He could only suppress his anger and say, "William told us to report today. We're security guards!"
Oberon said this with pride, as if being a security guard was an honorable job for him.
"Haha, that's hilarious, security guards?" Keith tugged at Oberon's clothes and pointed at William, saying, "Him? I can have him kicked out with a word, believe it or not?"
William frowned as he didn't like Keith's sarcastic and mocking tone.
"Don't you dare insult William!" Oberon yelled, enraged. He grabbed Keith by the collar as if he was a chick!
Insulting Oberon was one thing, but insulting his idol was another!
In an instant, Oberon and his men surrounded Keith!
"What do you think you're doing!" Keith shouted. He was immediately scared, surrounded by so many people, each with a terrifying look in their eyes.
William didn't want to escalate the situation, but Keith's words had indeed hurt Oberon and his men' pride!
On one side was Keith, the vice president of BK Pharmaceuticals, and on the other was Oberon, his friend. Weighing the pros and cons, William signaled Oberon to let go and said with a smile, "Mr. Carter, I'm sorry. Oberon and the others are rough around the edges. Don't take it to heart."
Keith was already in a bad mood, and their actions pushed him to the edge of madness.
So he kicked Oberon in the stomach, making him stagger, and pointed at his nose, cursing, "Filthy thing! Do you know how expensive this suit is? Your lives aren't worth it! And you think you can be security guards at BK Pharmaceuticals? Did you get my permission? Who allowed you here?! Trash!"
Keith was truly enraged, cursing loudly, completely humiliating them!
Oberon had never had a proper job, always leading his men in the streets.
But he knew what it meant to be a man of honor and dignity!
He was furious, taking off the security hat that he had carefully worn that morning, and angrily pointed at the suited Keith, shouting, "Say that again. I dare you!"
As he moved, his men all took off their security hats, glaring at Keith, ready to break his limbs if he dared to speak again!
At this moment, Mary happened to pass by, frowning.
She had naturally heard Keith's insulting words, her eyebrows furrowing deeply.
William raised an eyebrow, pulling the red-faced Oberon back, and said with a cold smile, "Mr. Carter, isn't it a bit harsh to speak like that?"
Keith sneered a few times, tugging at his tie as he said, "Well, are you not happy? You're just a bunch of street trash. Do you think wearing security uniforms makes you somebody? I bet you're all elementary school dropouts, can you even read? And you think you can work at BK Pharmaceuticals? Dream on!"
As Keith finished speaking, a loud slap was heard before the arrogance left his face.
William's slap came without warning, landing solidly on Keith's ugly face!
William put all his strength into that slap!
Keith was stunned, standing there dumbfounded, his face quickly swelling on one side!
No one had ever dared to hit him, let alone slap him in public!
Oberon and his men were thrilled. Their reliance, William, had not let them down. At the critical moment, it was William who stood up for them!
They swore to follow William for life!
He was so manly and so full of spirit!
