Chapter 353 Something Happened at Home

"You bastard, how dare you!" Harper snapped, gripping William's arm tightly, afraid he actually meant it.

She then looked at Diggory and cursed coldly, "Shameless! Do you believe I'll call the cops? With a face like that, you think you deserve it?"

Someone shouted, "What are you saying, you bitch! Our boss taking an interest in you is your good luck!"

Another scolded, "You bitch!"

For a moment, the lackeys behind Diggory started cursing, scaring Harper to the point where tears welled up in her eyes as she hid behind William.

Diggory waved his hand, scolded a few times, and then looked at William, asking, "So, have you thought it over?"

Betty had been watching William's reaction the whole time, noting Harper hiding behind William like a damsel in distress, which made her surprised.

Harper was a black belt in Taekwondo!

As a member of the Price family, how could she be a weak woman?

Betty felt unbelievable. She finally understood now that women were terrifying creatures.

Harper noticed Betty looking at her with a strange expression, pouted, and glared at her, signaling her not to meddle.

Diggory laughed for a while, his eyes full of lust as he said, "Why don't you come with me? I guarantee you'll eat steak every day, much better than being with this poor guy. What do you think?"

Harper spat and scolded, "No way! You make me sick."

Diggory's face darkened instantly, and he said coldly, "You're asking for trouble!"

He looked at William and arrogantly announced, "Don't blame me for being ruthless! Someone wants you dead. If you don't want to die painfully, beg me nicely, and I might let you go, but you have to leave these two women behind!"

William pursed his lips, feeling a headache. Why do some people always have so much nonsense to say, trying to show off their so-called prowess?

William shrugged and said, "What if I don't agree?"

Diggory suddenly slammed the table, kicked the chair away, picked up a wine bottle from the table, and pointed it at William's head, saying viciously, "Then my men here will have to take action! Come on, cripple this guy and throw him out, leave the women!"

He looked at Betty and Harper with lecherous eyes, shouting, "Go!"

The men behind Diggory cheered and walked toward William and Harper, cracking their knuckles.

Harper quickly pulled Betty into a corner to hide.

William looked at the burly men approaching him, his eyes cold. He raised his hand, grabbed a knife, and with a swift motion, stabbed it into one of their arms!

The man at the front, ready to throw a punch, didn't expect to get stabbed and immediately let out a wail!

Seeing his man get stabbed, Diggory was furious. He swung the wine bottle at William's head and shouted, "Beat him up! Beat him to death!"

William felt a gust of wind coming at him. Without thinking, he kicked out with lightning speed, sending Diggory flying and crashing into the table behind him!

Diggory lay on the ground, clutching his stomach in pain.

Enduring the pain, he shouted, "Damn it! This guy's tough! Everyone, get him and teach him a lesson!"

At his command, the men threw a flurry of punches and kicks at William.

Betty looked at William with admiration.

He was so handsome. This was the kind of man she liked!

William raised his hand and threw a few punches, the sound of impact echoing. The burly men all fell to the ground, groaning in pain, unable to get up!

All of this happened in the blink of an eye. Betty and Harper ran out from the corner, hiding behind William, and even kicked the fallen men a few times.

William looked at Betty and said irritably, "You don't seem too scared now. Why didn't you help earlier?"

Betty glanced at him and muttered, "I was giving you a chance to play the hero and save beauty."

William stroked his chin, deliberately glanced at Betty, and said, "You mean you're the beauty?"

Betty glared at him and demanded, "Am I not beautiful?"

"Yeah, you're beautiful, very beautiful," William play along, feeling helpless.

Harper tugged on Betty's arm, signaling her to be more reserved.

Suddenly, Betty's expression changed, and she pointed toward the restaurant entrance, shouting, "He's running! That bastard is running!"

Diggory, clutching his stomach and trying to escape, ran even faster upon hearing Betty's shout!

But before he could reach the door, William grabbed a nearby chair and casually threw it toward him!

With a scream, Diggory fell to the ground, clutching his bloody head!

William sneered, "You want to run? No way."

He clapped his hands, put them in his pockets, and walked over.

Betty and Harper followed him. Harper went up and kicked Diggory several times, cursing, "Shameless! How dare you want to sleep with me? I'll beat you to death!"

William smiled wryly, looking at the terrified Diggory on the ground, and said coldly, "Can't take a beating, huh? Weren't you pretty arrogant just now? Why so cowardly now?"

At this moment, Diggory, holding his bloody head, his face covered in blood, was scooting toward the door. If he had known William was this fierce, he wouldn't have come to provoke him; it was a death wish!

William's expression gradually turned cold as he stared at Diggory and asked, "Who sent you? Don't lie to me, or you'll die even more miserably!"

Without waiting for him to respond, William kicked him in the chest, the sound of cracking ribs echoing as Diggory rolled on the ground in pain!

He had to be ruthless so Diggory would be scared and tell the truth!

Diggory screamed, his face contorted in pain, "I'll tell you. Please don't hit me anymore."

He was genuinely terrified; William was too scary and ruthless!

William gave him a cold look, waiting for his answer.

Diggory stammered, "It was a mysterious boss. We received a text message saying whoever could cripple or kill you would get five hundred thousand dollars."

William's eyes turned cold.

"Get lost!" William snorted coldly!

"Yes. Thank you for sparing my life," Diggory said hurriedly.

Terrified, he scrambled out of the restaurant as fast as he could. If given another chance, he wouldn't come here even if it meant death!

"Alright, I still have things to do. I'm leaving," William said coldly, then turned to leave.

Harper hurriedly chased after him, shouting, "William, you can't leave!"

William turned back, frowning. "What, is there something else?" he asked.

Harper rolled her eyes at him and reminded, "The collaboration."

William said indifferently, "I told you, we can discuss the collaboration if you take me to the Price family."

With that, William waved and disappeared out the restaurant door.

Harper stomped her feet in frustration. Just then, an elderly man walked out from inside the restaurant.

Seeing him, Harper quickly regained her aloof demeanor and asked nonchalantly, "Why didn't you step in earlier?"

The elderly man glanced at the groaning men on the ground and smiled wryly. "Harper, unless absolutely necessary, I won't intervene. If exposed, it would bring unnecessary trouble to the Price family."

Harper frowned slightly, looking at the departing figure outside, and muttered to herself, "Why is William so interested in the Price family?"

"I need the family to do something for me," she suddenly said.

"Please, go ahead," the elderly man replied.

"Help me investigate William's background," Harper said, feeling that William wasn't as simple as he appeared.

She pondered, 'Is he really a useless freeloader? Then how can he explain what happened at the Radiant Glow Hotel that day?'

William hadn't been out of the restaurant for long when he received a call from Tyler.

On the phone, Tyler shouted anxiously, "William, come back quickly; Margaret is in trouble!"
