Chapter 371 Shock

They just stood there, jaws practically on the floor, staring at William like he'd grown a second head.

What the heck was this guy talking about?

He wanted them all to scram?

"Are you kidding me? Margaret, what's he even saying? Is he seriously trying to boot us out?" Delia snickered, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Margaret, didn't you say this place was yours? How's he gonna kick us out?"

Delia was definitely stirring the pot.

Margaret couldn't handle being looked down on, especially not in front of Delia's family.

She was used to being the queen bee and always felt superior around them.

Now William was stepping on her toes, and she wasn't about to let that slide.

Fuming, she jabbed a finger at William and barked, "William, how dare you?"

Couldn't William know show her some respect?

She was his mother-in-law, for crying out loud. If he didn't respect her, how was she supposed to hold her head high in front of her family?

"Margaret, Who do you think you are? I'll teach you a lesson today!" William shot back, his face darkening as he glared at the crowd. "I'll say it again, this villa is mine. All of you, get out!"

"Yours? Hahaha!" Delia laughed so hard she nearly doubled over. Then she egged Margaret on, "Margaret, whip out the property deed. William's talking big without even knowing what's up."

Margaret definitely wasn't about to do that.

The deed was in William and Mary's room, and it had William's name on it.

If she brought it out, her lie would be exposed.

So, she switched gears and demanded, "William, what's the deal with the Rolls-Royce Delia mentioned? Did you swipe money from Mary's company? I know you've been handling the company's stuff lately. Don't tell me you didn't!"

"Yeah, yeah! Explain yourself! That's a ton of money. How does William deserve to drive such a fancy car?" Delia chimed in.

Her smug face made William want to kick her out the door.

The Ulysses family had always been a thorn in his and Mary's side.

William could still remember how Delia had humiliated him and Mary at their wedding!

With a cold laugh, William said, "Is that how you all see me?"

'A bunch of greedy relatives,' William thought with disdain.

"Look at you. Do you really think living in a fancy house makes you a king? Do you even deserve it?" Delia sneered.

"Margaret, he needs a reality check. He's so ungrateful, and he hasn't even offered us water," Delia added, still gloating from her spot on the sofa.

Ulysses nodded, chiming in, "William, you're in the wrong here. If you took the company's money, just own up to it. Since you bought the car, it's not a big deal. Mary's company is loaded now. Buying a nice car isn't a bad thing. We can all use it together."

Upon hearing this, Delia grinned widely, giving Ulysses a thumbs up.

Ulysses knew how to snag benefits for himself.

The idea of moving in and using the Rolls-Royce every day had Delia practically giddy.

Nancy, also eager, said, "Perfect timing, I've got a class reunion in a few days. William, you can drive me there."

Then everyone started chatting about how to share the Rolls-Royce.

Delia took the lead, saying, "Margaret, since the car's bought, it's part of the Smith family. Since we're family, we should share the good stuff and the bad. How about this: you use the car on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and we'll use it on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Sound good?"

William had never seen such a shameless bunch!

It was downright ridiculous!

But Margaret thought it was a no-go. They were taking all the perks without spending a dime.

Honestly, she couldn't stand the Ulysses family. They were always scheming and petty.

They hadn't even moved in yet and were already plotting how to use the Rolls-Royce. If they did move in, it would be a nightmare.

"No way! No one is driving this car!" Margaret snapped coldly.

She then shot a glare at William and scolded, "I'm definitely telling Mary about this. You actually started embezzling the company's money to buy such an expensive car!"

William chuckled, looking at them. "You really think I bought that car with the company's money?"

'A bunch of clueless folks! I've got plenty of cash!' William thought to himself.

"What else? I know your situation, William. Jeffery told me last time that your family went bankrupt! You're just a broke guy now, probably drowning in debt!" Margaret roared, her voice echoing through the living room.

Delia's family looked stunned and confused.

William raised an eyebrow, his eyes cold.

He sneered inwardly, 'Jeffery is pulling all the stops.'

"You'll find out soon enough," William said calmly, not wanting to explain further.

Everyone exchanged puzzled looks.

"Alright, let's see what trick you're playing," Delia said disdainfully.

About ten minutes later, William got a text from George and said to everyone, "Let's go."

"Go where?" Margaret asked, her face cold, not knowing what William was up to.

"Don't you want to know whose Rolls-Royce that is?" William asked, a faint smile on his face.

Margaret glanced at Delia, who said directly, "Margaret, let's go out and see what he's up to."

With that, they followed William out of the villa. At the gate, they saw a black Rolls-Royce parked there.

When they saw the car, Delia and Nancy couldn't help but marvel at its luxury, their eyes filled with envy and excitement.

Upon seeing the Rolls-Royce, Margaret, who was still fuming, set aside her anger and walked around the car, clicking her tongue in admiration.

If she could be driven around in this car every day, it would be amazing.

It was the lifestyle of a wealthy lady!

So now, she wanted to keep the car for herself, convinced that William had bought it with money embezzled from Mary's company.

Since it was family money, it belonged to her.

The car should definitely not be driven by William.

"How about it, Margaret? Nice car, right?" Delia asked.

Seeing the amazement in Margaret's eyes, Delia flattered her, "How about this, we use it for just two days a week, and you can use it the rest of the time. After all, we're family, right?"

Delia continued discussing with Margaret how to share the car.

Margaret was unwilling to let them use it, but she couldn't refuse, as it would make her seem petty.

"Alright, just two days," Margaret said.

Pleased, Delia winked at Ulysses and then held Margaret's arm, flattering her, "Margaret, you're so generous. the Smith family is really lucky to have you. We'll all rely on you in the future."

Margaret felt pleased and laughed proudly. "Oh, it's nothing. We're all family."

They continued chatting, completely ignoring William.

It was as if the Rolls-Royce was already theirs.

Just then, the car door opened, and an elderly man in a gray suit, holding a black and gold cane, stepped out.

It was George.

When Margaret saw George, her eyes widened. Clutching her chest, she asked excitedly, "Are you George?"

Ulysses and Delia also looked over, instantly becoming excited.

George was the richest man in Lindwood City.

Why was he here?

Why did he get out of that Rolls-Royce?

Wasn't that car bought with embezzled company money by William?

They were all stunned.

Meanwhile, George stood respectfully in front of William, bowing. "Mr. Jones."

This scene shocked the group even more.

George, the richest man in Lindwood City, was bowing to William.
