Chapter 378 The Gonzales Family
At that crucial moment, the bathroom door got kicked open.
William barged in, making the dude freeze up. In those few seconds, William was already up in his face, lifting his foot and delivering a nasty kick.
Without any hesitation, William delivered a hard kick to the man's gut, sending him flying backward and crashing into the wooden stall door.
The stall door got knocked down from the impact.
The guy got launched into the stall and couldn't get up for a while.
Mary, scared out of her mind, squatted on the ground, holding her head, too freaked out to look.
When she saw the familiar figure standing in front of her, she immediately threw herself into William's arms, shaking all over.
"William, I'm so scared," Mary cried, totally freaked out.
If it weren't for William, who knew what would've happened?
William was a bit stunned, a smirk forming at the corner of his mouth. He gently patted her back, thinking the backless evening dress had its perks.
"Alright, it's cool now. I'll handle the rest," William said softly.
Tears welled up in Mary's eyes as she stepped aside.
William walked to the stall, and suddenly, the guy inside sprang up, trying to stab him with a knife.
"Watch out!" Mary shouted, covering her mouth in shock.
But William just sidestepped a bit and then kicked again.
The guy didn't even know what hit him before he got kicked back into the stall. He fell to his knees, clutching his gut, and started puking everything out.
William didn't stop. He grabbed the guy's hair, giving him no chance to catch his breath, and shoved his head into the toilet, then flushed.
The loud flushing sound blasted in the guy's ears.
His whole head was underwater, making it impossible to breathe. If he inhaled, the water filled with disinfectant would flood his lungs.
William yanked the guy's head out of the toilet, asking fiercely, "Tell me! Who sent you?"
The guy was out of it, his ears ringing, making it impossible for him to hear what William was asking.
Seeing his reaction, William shoved his head back into the toilet and flushed again.
After doing this a few times, the guy finally got some clarity under the intense torment.
"Who's behind you? Who sent you to take her out?" William demanded.
"I won't say. Kill me if you got the guts!" the guy said stubbornly, laughing grimly.
"If that's the case, we got nothing to discuss," William said, shaking his head and looking at him with pity.
"Many people are like you, dying foolishly. What's more important, your boss or your life? Don't doubt it. Your life means nothing to me!" William announced, his tone icy. For some reason, the guy shivered uncontrollably when he saw William's expression.
"Your biggest mistake today was targeting her. If you don't die, the person behind you won't be scared off. So, let's use your life to warn them!" William declared, grabbing the guy by his hair and shoving his head back into the toilet.
Then, he stood up and stomped on the guy's head.
The flushing sound echoed again. With his head underwater, the guy couldn't breathe, his lungs about to burst.
He struggled desperately, but it was useless.
Mary, clenching her small fists, asked worriedly, "Will he die?"
William sneered, "Don't worry, scum like him deserves to die. How dare he target you? Even if he died a thousand times, it wouldn't be enough!"
William was furious.
Those scumbags hiding in the dark were really hard to guard against.
Mary was stunned, seeing him still able to smile at this moment.
Feeling completely unable to breathe, the guy opened his mouth, only to have cold water rush in, filling his stomach.
Unable to endure any longer, he felt near death, his lungs starved of oxygen, his head spinning and dizzy.
"One last chance, you gonna talk?" William asked coldly from above.
The guy desperately patted the toilet, and William finally let up, grabbed his head, and yanked him out, tossing him hard to the ground.
The dude, drenched and limp on the floor, coughed like crazy, gasping for air, his face turning purple from the lack of oxygen.
"Go ahead!" William barked.
"It's Endymion who wasfrom the Price family in Radiant Harbor City," the guy sputtered.
William's frown deepened, and he glanced up at Mary, who looked back at him, slightly surprised.
Who the heck was Endymion?
Mary had no clue.
But William did. It was Harper's brother.
William simmered with a cold fury. He hadn't even gone to settle the score with him, yet the guy couldn't wait to make the first move.
How dare he hurt Mary?
'Damn it! The Price family, are they so eager to die? What on earth happened to my mom's family?' William thought, his face full of anger.
The party was in full swing, with most attendees being reps from BK Pharmaceuticals, alongside big shots from Lindwood City and entrepreneurs from all over.
In fact, the combined wealth of those in attendance could rival half of Lindwood City's GDP.
William and Mary came out of the bathroom and entered the hall, naturally catching the eye of Jeffery, who was chatting with others.
He stared coldly at William, his heart burning with anger. The scene at the hotel entrance earlier still had him holding a grudge.
'Damn it! William, one day I'll trample you underfoot and humiliate you!' Jeffery vowed to himself.
Just then, a small group led by a young, handsome guy entered the hall, instantly drawing everyone's attention.
Jeffery quickly walked over with a wine glass, smiling obsequiously. "Mr. Gonzales, you're finally here."
His face was full of respectful flattery. If anyone saw this, they'd be shocked to see Jeffery being so enthusiastic toward a young guy.
After all, Jeffery was the domestic president parachuted in by Horizon Group.
Horizon Group was a foreign enterprise worth hundreds of billions of dollars and a major shareholder in several listed companies with tons of cash and a mysterious background.
The young guy leading the group had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes. He was dressed in an expensive dark blue suit, exuding an air of humility and elegance, and was quite handsome.
He was none other than Lazlo Gonzales, a young master of the Gonzales family from Imperial City.
It was also his first appearance at a banquet as the young master of the Gonzales family.
The Gonzales family, with its abundant martial arts resources and esteemed standing in Imperial City, vastly surpassed the minor families of Lindwood City.
Half of the martial arts students in Imperial City came from it.
Moreover, it had the backing of high-ranking officials and dignitaries.
"Jeffery, good to see you again," Lazlo said, smiling gracefully.
He took the wine glass Jeffery handed him, gently swirling the wine inside, and asked with a smile, "You said you wanted me to meet someone tonight. Are they here?"
Jeffery, secretly pleased, pointed towards William and Mary, saying, "Mr. Gonzales, they're here. Look, it's him! He's the one who beat up Dashiell. His name is William."
Jeffery had found out that William had offended Dashiell and had even beaten him up.
So, he invited Lazlo to the party because he that Lazlo was not someone to be trifled with.
Lazlo followed his pointing finger and first saw not William, but Mary, who was stunningly beautiful.
He had never seen such a gorgeous woman, even the four famous beauties in Imperial City were no match.
To his surprise, such a noble woman would appear in this small city.
