Chapter 364 Margaret's Causing Trouble Again
Harper was totally thrown off, staring at William in confusion.
Right then, Benjamin lunged forward, swinging his leg and landing a brutal kick to William's side!
The dude trying to sneak up got booted right in the chest, flying back and crashing into the couch!
In a flash, the other two closed in, trying to sandwich William and Benjamin!
Both had double knives, making it look like Benjamin was toast!
Benjamin squinted, grabbed one of the attackers' arms, and snapped it like a twig!
The other guy saw his chance, aiming his knives right at Benjamin's neck!
At that close range, dodging seemed impossible for anyone normal, pretty much a death sentence.
But in that split second, Benjamin popped up behind the attacker and slammed a punch into his lower back!
You could hear the sound of several ribs cracking.
The attacker stumbled, coughed up blood, and hit the ground, flopping around like a fish out of water.
Blood was pouring out from behind his thick black mask!
With that punch, Benjamin not only busted his ribs but also messed up his insides, sealing the guy's fate!
In no time, all three assassins were down for the count!
Harper was freaked out, watching Benjamin take down the three assassins like it was nothing. She thought, 'How the heck is he so strong?'
She ran over, grabbing William's arm tight, her voice shaking, "You okay?"
William shook his head, glanced at Harper's chest, and gave her a heads-up, but she shot him a death glare.
Meanwhile, Benjamin finished up, sat coolly on the couch sipping red wine, and said, "Boss, time to settle up."
William, exasperated, glared at him and snapped, "Get lost. All you care about is cash."
Then, William turned to the three on the ground, one barely moving, and sneered, "Who sent you? After me or her?"
Hearing William's words, the two still conscious stopped whining, gritting their teeth through the pain. One clutched his chest, barely able to move from the earlier kick!
The other, with both arms busted, leaned against the furniture, helpless.
The one holding his chest spat out, "We ain't telling you. Just finish us off!"
In their line of work, there was a rule: if you fail, never spill the beans!
Who was this guy in front of them? He was nothing like the intel!
They thought sending the three of them would be a sure thing, but now it was clear they messed up big time!
The intel was way off!
William had a beast of a bodyguard!
William saw right through their panicked faces.
"Answer my questions," William said coldly.
He sneered, "Or I'll make you wish you were dead."
"Shut up! Kill us or whatever!" the guy said, ready to die.
"Tough guy, huh? Go back and tell your boss, if he dares to send someone to kill me again, he's dead!" William declared.
As he said this, the two assassins still conscious felt a wave of confidence and killer intent from William!
It made them shiver.
No one in all of Celestia would dare say something like that.
William was just too cocky.
He didn't even know who the boss was.
These two assassins, on the brink of death, felt William's killer vibe was even scarier than their own boss!
William was a demon!
"Don't believe me?" William asked, reading their eyes. Then he said calmly, "If you don't believe me, call your boss now, and I'll talk to them myself."
William didn't want to kill these two. If he did, he'd be dealing with endless trouble later!
So, he needed them to go back and warn their boss!
If they didn't back off, he'd take them down.
"Looks like you need some convincing," William said, shaking his head and signaling Benjamin to continue.
Benjamin walked over, pulled out a small box from his pocket, and inside was a black pill, perfect for dealing with stubborn guys!
It was some kind of crazy mental toxin, perfect for getting people to spill their guts!
Benjamin shoved it right into one of their mouths, watching as the guy swallowed it.
In no time, the dude clutched his chest, grabbed his throat, his face twisting in pain. Then he hit the ground, rolling and scratching like a madman!
"Ah, I'll tell you! I'll tell you! Just make it stop!" the guy screamed.
He ripped off his mask and clawed at his face, looking like a total wreck.
William smirked, seeing the pill work its magic. "Stock up on these. We're gonna need them."
"One million bucks each," Benjamin said, cool as a cucumber.
William's face darkened; Benjamin must've been broke in a past life!
The guy, writhing in pain, managed to choke out, "It's the EnchantFloral Guild."
Then he started begging William to let him go.
William's face turned serious, his brows knitting together.
He turned to Benjamin and asked, "Can you track them down?"
Benjamin's face shifted, and he said, "No need. I know this crew."
William nodded, then looked at the other guy and said, "If you don't wanna end up like him, take my message back to your boss: don't mess with me, or I've got a hundred ways to kill you!"
"Yes, yes, I'll tell them!" the guy with broken arms said, nodding like a bobblehead, eyes wide with fear. After watching his buddy scratch himself to death, his last bit of resolve crumbled.
These two were devils!
After dealing with them, William turned to Benjamin and asked, "Did I piss off the EnchantFloral Guild?"
Benjamin looked worried and said, "That woman you met at the hospital last time, Savannah, she's from that group and holds a high position."
William stroked his chin, thought for a bit, then left the apartment.
Back at Villa No.1, William saw Margaret and Tyler in the living room, scheming about something.
When she saw William come in, Margaret tried to act casual, sneaking a glance at him.
William ignored her and headed upstairs.
Once he was up, Margaret nudged Tyler, winking and saying, "So, you gonna talk to him, or should I?"
Tyler thought for a moment and said, "I'll go. Just sit tight and don't stir the pot."
He stood up and called up the stairs, "William, come down. We need to talk."
Soon, William came down, arms crossed. He looked at Tyler, then glanced at Margaret, who was munching on sunflower seeds, and asked, "Dad, what's up?"
Tyler coughed a few times and said, "Here's the thing, William. Your mom and I think that we should get a new nanny for Sarah. Lucy's always taking Sarah out to play, not doing her job right. It's not good for Sarah."
William frowned, looking at Margaret and asked, "Your idea?"
Margaret didn't deny it, raising her chin and said, "Yeah. The nanny you hired is always taking Sarah out to fool around. You really should replace her. I have a relative who just graduated and is looking for a job—she'd be perfect."
Margaret's relative had asked her for help, and Margaret, wanting to save face, agreed.
Besides, her goal now was to get rid of Lucy.
"No way." William said, turning to leave.
Margaret got anxious, stood up, smashed a cup, and shouted, "William, I'm your mother-in-law, you have to listen to me! I already sent Lucy away! You have to replace her, whether you like it or not. My relative starts tomorrow!"
William suddenly stopped, turned around, his eyes coldly staring at Margaret, and shouted, "What did you say? You sent Lucy away?"
William was livid!
Lucy was one of the few people he trusted.
She was like a sister to him.
"Yeah! So what, you wanna hit me?" Margaret roared furiously.
Tyler, wide-eyed, tried to mediate. "Alright, alright, stop fighting. How about we talk this over tomorrow?"
When Margaret was being unreasonable, she was truly fearless. She shouted, "No way! What's there to discuss? He'd rather hire an outsider than his own family?"
William, fuming, took a few steps toward Margaret, and growled, "Margaret, you really need a beating to behave!"
"William, who are you trying to scare? It's just firing someone. You wanna hit me? Go ahead, hit me if you dare," Margaret said shamelessly, raising her face and leaning in.
