Chapter 85 Do You Want to Know My Identity?

At this moment, Raymond was utterly bewildered by Alvin's sudden outburst. As a long-time employee of the company, Raymond was well aware that something must have gone terribly wrong. Could the young man who was apprehended have some formidable background?
"Mr. Lopez, what's going on?" Raymond asked nervously.
Alvin glared at him, his voice cold and stern, "You have the nerve to ask me? It's your foolish actions! Where is he? Tell me, now!"
Raymond was still unaware of the situation. Despite working for so many years, he still needed more awareness. Even though their company was a security firm, they couldn't just capture people arbitrarily. A mistake in such a large company could lead to bankruptcy.
Raymond knew that Alvin was furious and he didn't dare delay. He quickly led the way to the basement.
Meanwhile, William rested with his eyes closed in the basement. He wasn't worried at all. He was innocent and someone would surely come to his aid.
However, William was contemplating how to deal with Jeffrey. The sabotage was subtle, but William was certain it was Jeffrey's doing.
He never expected their years of brotherhood to come to this.
The door opened, and two people entered, with Raymond leading the way and Alvin following closely behind.
When he saw William locked inside, he was puzzled. This young man had managed to get the attention of three powerful groups, so he must be recognized.
"I'm sorry, William. We've investigated your situation, and it turns out there was a misunderstanding. You are free to go now," Alvin said with a forced smile.
Raymond was taken aback and interjected," Mr. Lopez, we witnessed the incident ourselves. It was a clear violation. We need to set an example for our company."
If William were released, Raymond would have a hard time explaining.
However, Alvin took out his phone with a cold look and threw it to Raymond. "Take a good look. After you've seen it, tell me if we can let him go."
Alvin was truly angry. Raymond had already violated company rules by arresting someone without a proper investigation. Now, he was refusing to admit his mistake. The evidence was right there on his phone.
It was a shame. If this got out, the company would face public backlash, even bankruptcy. Everyone would be in trouble.
Raymond felt a sense of panic. He opened the video and saw the victims confessing to framing William.
Raymond's heart sank. He knew they had arrested the wrong person. It was a grave mistake on his part.
"Raymond, I'm asking you again. Can we let him go?" Alvin's voice was stern.
Raymond's face turned red, cold sweat forming on his forehead. He mumbled, "We can let him go."
Alvin snorted, then turned to William. "William, I apologize on behalf of our company. We hope you don't mind. We will learn from this and never make the same mistake again."
William remained silent. His gaze was cold as he looked at Raymond. Then he turned to Alvin and said, "It's alright, just a little misunderstanding. I trust you all."
Alvin smiled and personally escorted William out of the basement.
"Raymond, you're suspended for three months. Write a self-reflection report for me!" Alvin's angry voice echoed in the room and Raymond could only comply.
After they left, Raymond called Jeffrey. His tone was icy. "Jeffrey, the person has been released. Do you have any idea how much trouble you almost caused me? I'll have my wife return the keys to you tomorrow. Don't involve me in this anymore!"
On the other end, Jeffrey was filled with astonishment. He never expected this outcome.
The person was released in less than half an hour!
"What's going on, Raymond? How do they let him go so easily?" Jeffrey was confused at his villa at the moment.
What was happening with William?
How could they just let him go like that?
"Are you asking me? Do you know who you've offended? Our general manager personally took him away! The people you hired and the despicable methods they used, I'm not even holding you accountable for that, and are you coming to ask me?" Raymond's temper flared. Jeffrey's methods were too dirty!
"Mr. Lopez personally picked him up?" Jeffrey was terrified, his face full of shock.
What was William's identity that made the general manager of Lindwood City's largest security company personally pick him up?
"Raymond, can you help me ..." Before he could finish, the call was cut off.
Damn, it!
Jeffrey was furious, throwing his phone. He now paced back and forth in his living room.
William was actually released!
What the hell was going on?
His plan had just begun and it had already fallen apart.
He immediately called Arnold with another phone, but it took a long time for the call to be answered.
"Jeffrey, are you surprised that it's me?"
The familiar voice made Jeffery Gray shiver all over, his hands and feet turning ice-cold. Now, big beads of sweat rolled down his forehead.
"William? Why do you have …"
Jeffrey's words got stuck in his throat!
It was Arnold's phone, and now William was answering. Even a fool could guess that something had gone wrong.
"Where's Arnold?" Jeffrey steadied his panicked emotions and asked.
"At your doorstep."
William said calmly and then a whining sound came from the phone.
Jeffery was startled. He sprang up from the sofa in the living room and quickly ran to the window, peering outside through the glass.
Two black Mercedes with crimson taillights were parked at the entrance of the villa.
At the front of one car, a man leaned against the hood, smoking. The crimson glow of the cigarette made Jeffery's heart race.
William!
How did he come so fast?
Before Jeffery could react, the villa's front door was violently kicked open. Craig Morris, accompanied by a dozen men, burst in!
A swarm of people quickly surrounded the ground-floor living room.
Arnold, with his mouth sealed with tape, was kicked directly in front of the sofa in the living room. He kneeled with a bruised and swollen face, looking very miserable.
Everything happened so suddenly.
Jeffery didn't have time to think.
Alan then walked through the door, followed closely by William Jones, who casually flicked his cigarette butt to the ground and calmly stamped it out before stepping inside.
He sat on the sofa as if no one else was there, surveying the environment in the villa.
"Never thought I'd be able to come in and sit down three years later," William said indifferently.
Jeffery was sweating cold now, stunned by the scene before him.
Standing respectfully beside William was none other than Alan Jordan, the Underground Emperor of Lindwood City!
What the hell was going on?
Craig tore off the tape from Arnold's mouth. Arnold kept begging for mercy and crying loudly, "Mr. Jones, spare me! Please let me go. I was wrong. I won't dare again. This whole thing was all Jeffrey's idea. He made me do it!"
Everyone has the instinct to seek survival.
When Jeffrey Gray heard this, his eyes widened in anger, and he cursed loudly, "That's nonsense! I don't even know you. When did I ever tell you to do anything? Are you insinuating that I am defaming you?"
Jeffrey was smart. William's sudden visit put tremendous pressure on him!
Especially the people in the room and Alan next to William.
Alan Jordan was a figure respected wherever he went, but today, he stood willingly by William's side and silently watched.
It was clear that in front of William, Alan was just a subordinate and dared not act recklessly.
So, Jeffery was very cautious.
William's changes were too fast, too unexpected!
Arnold, on the ground, desperately pointed at Jeffrey and accused, "Jeffery Gray, it was you who gave me a hundred thousand bucks to do this!"
"Mr. Jones, you've got to believe me. It was him! It was all him who made me do it. Please spare me, I won't dare again."
Arnold was crying as he banged his head on the ground, even splitting it open.
He's afraid of death.
Craig Morris was next to him, and even more, Alan Jordan.
He stomped his feet and was about to throw himself into the river.
William just gave a slight glance and Craig directly took Arnold out.
Outside, the sound of screams and pleas hit Jeffery's emotional defenses.
His eyes were cold, and cold sweat covered his forehead, and he was desperately thinking about his current situation.
He messed up.
I never thought that William was not an ordinary person!
He could actually hide for so long!
"William, it seems I don't quite understand you," Jeffery sneered. "I didn't expect you to know Alan Jordan. You've hidden yourself well all these years."
Although he was now in a panic, he was not afraid.
He wasn't someone to be pushed around.
William said calmly, "Don't try to figure out my background with your limited perspective. You'll never guess my identity."
"Is that so? Well, I'm curious. Do you even have a background?" Jeffrey sneered sarcastically.
At a time like this, he was still trying to act tough.
William thought that knowing Alan would make him afraid of him.
His father was the president of the Jade Association and knew influential people!
"Are you dying to know my identity?" William Jones suddenly asked.
