Chapter 315 William's Home Is Actually...

Jessica frowned at Nicholas's sudden appearance.

"Uncle Nicholas," William called out, smiling.

Nicholas looked at William fondly, patted his shoulder, and asked, "Are you okay?"

William shrugged and said, "I'm fine."

Nicholas nodded in understanding, then turned to Mary and said with a smile, "Mary, we meet again."

Mary tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and politely nodded to Nicholas, greeting him. "Hi, Uncle Nicholas."

"Ah, good, good!" Nicholas replied. He was delighted; that greeting meant more to him than anything.

Mary was quite nervous since she hadn't expected Nicholas to show up suddenly.

Moreover, judging by the situation, Nicholas seemed to be a very important man, and was always accompanied by a group of personnel.

How terrifying!

Mary looked at William with a puzzled expression, her mind full of questions.

'Who exactly is William? Why does he seem so mysterious?' she wondered.

Just then, Nicholas turned his head, and the smile on his face immediately turned into a grim expression. He stared at Jessica and asked coldly, "Jessica, what were you planning to do to William?"

Jessica frowned slightly. She knew that since Nicholas had arrived, things would not be easy.

"Aren't you supposed to be on the island?" Jessica asked.

Nicholas sneered and said, "No one from the branch family can threaten me. But Jessica, your recent actions have been quite disheartening."

"Well, are these people here to try to take me down too?" Nicholas said, glancing at the black-suited bodyguards beside Jessica, completely unconcerned.

In a cold tone, Jessica commanded, "Back off."

Dozens of black-suited bodyguards retreated from the hall.

However, Nicholas did not let it go and warned, "Jessica, I have to warn you, don't overextend yourself. You can't touch some people. Even Caleb has to behave when he sees me."

Jessica was instantly furious when she heard that.

She didn't like anyone insulting her father.

"Nicholas, how dare you! I am your sister-in-law!" Jessica said coldly, her lips twitching slightly, a surge of anger rising in her heart.

However, Nicholas said indifferently, "You're just my brother's second wife. Do you really think you're important?"

This remark ignited the anger in Jessica's heart. She glared at Nicholas coldly, pointed her finger at him, and scolded, "Nicholas! Even if I am your brother's second wife, I am still legally married to him. You should respect me since I'm your sister-in-law! Aren't you afraid I'll go back and tell the elders of the family and have you punished for disrespect?"

Jessica was very angry. Nicholas, despite his age, was very rude.

How infuriating!

"The old folks in the family are already senile. I won't be afraid, even if you go back and accuse me of disrespect! If you have the guts, let them come to Lindwood City! I'll be waiting!" Nicholas declared.

With that, he turned around and started to leave with William and Mary.

Before leaving, Nicholas remarked, "By the way, William just said he wants to take Mary back. If you dare to stop him, I won't hesitate to destroy the Miller family! You better watch yourself!"

That statement hit Jessica right in the heart, making her extremely angry.

Jessica completely lost her composure as she watched Nicholas and his group leave.

She smashed everything in the hall, all of which were expensive custom-made items.

"Damn Nicholas, how dare you insult me! I will make the Jones family pay!" Jessica cursed furiously, her face full of anger, her eyes cold as she contacted several elders of the Jones family on Skyheart Island.

Meanwhile, Nicholas left Cloud Peak Manor with William.

At the gate, William and Nicholas had a private conversation.

"Uncle Nicholas, how did you deal with the branch family?" William asked.

"With direct military suppression, of course. Those people all have ulterior motives. If we don't show them some force, they won't understand who the real master of Skyheart Island is," Nicholas said. Then he laughed and took a drag on his cigarette, showing no concern at all as he spoke.

William shook his head and sighed. Nicholas was always like this, quick and violent in his methods.

But he was not a brute.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have received the Noble Command.

"By the way, are you really planning to take Mary and Sarah back? Do they know your real identity?" Nicholas suddenly asked, his voice tinged with concern.

The situation with the Jones family on the island remained unclear.

William choosing to return at this time was undoubtedly a bad signal, likely to provoke a backlash from the branch family.

William nodded and said, "Yes, I don't want to hide it from them any longer."

Nicholas nodded in acknowledgement, patted William's shoulder, and smiled. "Don't worry, I'll have your back. As the heir of the Jones family, no one can stop you from going home. Neither Jessica, nor the splinter group, nor even those secret forces behind them can do a thing!"

William smiled, chatted with Nicholas for a while, and then walked over to Mary, who was waiting.

Nicholas said that he had come back this time to invite them to a meal.

‘’What on earth is he planning?' William wondered.

With her hands clasped behind her back, Mary strolled across the lawn, playfully kicking her feet and looking pure and lovely.

The sunlight filtered through the mottled leaves and fell on her, and it looked as if she was covered in a layer of golden light, making her look very beautiful.

"Mary," William called as he walked over with his hands in his pockets.

Mary turned around, smiling as she asked, "Have you finished talking?"

William nodded in reply and reached out to remove a small leaf from her hair. Mary shyly asked, "By the way, honey, what does Uncle Nicholas do? Why does he have so many attendants?"

Mary pointed to the rows of people over there, her big eyes full of suspicion.

William thought for a moment and said, "They all belong to my family."

When Mary heard that, her eyes widened and she stared at him in disbelief. She pointed to the people again and asked, "What did you say? They all belong to your family?"

'How could that be? What does this mean? Those people all have guns! And they are William's family bodyguards?' Mary thought in disbelief.

"Yes, they are all my family's bodyguards, or rather, they are all my second uncle's people."

William nodded in response, not hiding anything.

Revealing a bit of Nicholas's identity would also lay the groundwork for bringing Mary home later, so she wouldn't be too shocked in the future.

This way, Mary could also accept some things when he handled matters.

"Really? Are they really from your family?" Mary asked, covering her mouth, her eyes wide with disbelief.

William seemed even more mysterious.

What did his family do to have so much security?

How terrifying!

"Honey, is it really you? Are you really my husband?" Mary asked.

She touched William's cheek with her hand, still looking very unsettled.

William grabbed Mary's hand, smiled, and said, "It's me, silly. Let's go home."

Mary nodded blankly, followed him into the car, and left Cloud Peak Manor, returning to the villa.

Even after returning to the villa, she was still in a daze, finding it hard to process everything she had seen and heard today.

'What is William hiding? And is William's family really that powerful? They even have armed bodyguards, my God!' Mary thought.

She found it hard to accept.

William parked the car and walked into the villa with Mary, only to see seven or eight middle-aged women in the living room, flattering Margaret.

Next to them, Lucy was serving tea and water, constantly cleaning up the mess made by those women.

When Margaret saw William return, she immediately pointed at him and commanded, "What are you standing there for? Go get us some water. We're out of fruits and nuts too. Go buy some."

As she said that, Margaret puffed out her chest and raised her head, speaking somewhat guiltily.

She had no choice; she had just been boasting to her friends about being the mistress of the house.

She had said a lot of bad things about William.

So, Margaret was doing this to prove herself.

But she was also nervous, afraid that William would expose her.

The group of women glanced at William standing at the door and laughed mockingly. A woman scoffed, "Margaret, is this your freeloading son-in-law? He really is a useless guy."

Another woman commanded, "Hey, you're William, right? What are you standing there for? Go on!"

A woman urged, "Yeah, what a wimp. Why are you just standing there? Didn't you hear Margaret tell you to go buy us things?"

Suddenly, four or five middle-aged women started bossing William around.

William frowned andglanced at the uneasy-looking Margaret. Mary, who was pulling his arm, whispered, "Honey, don't argue with my mom and them. I'll go with you."

William thought for a moment, sighed, and turned to leave with Mary.

Margaret finally let out a sigh of relief.

A fat woman in a plaid dress, who was heavily made up, mocked, "He's such a useless thing, Margaret, your son-in-law is no good."

Another echoed, "Exactly, he is too wimpy. He's not masculine at all, he's not as useful as my son-in-law."

A woman chimed in, "Margaret, I think you should have him divorce your daughter as soon as possible. He is no good, lazy and useless."

When Margaret saw William leave, she joined in the mockery, "Just wait. I'll kick him out sooner or later."

While the middle-aged women were chatting, Sarah came down from the second floor, rubbing her sleepy eyes.

"Lucy, Lucy..." She called sweetly, surprised to see so many people in the living room.

Then she walked up to Margaret and asked, "Grandma, where's Lucy?"

Margaret impatiently pushed her away and said, "Go find her yourself."

Sarah pouted, looked at the food on the coffee table, and reached out to take some, only to have her hand slapped away by Margaret.

Margaret grabbed Sarah's shoulder, scolding angrily, "This isn't for you. You're just like your useless dad!"

Sarah was so scared that she started crying, her face full of tears, struggling and calling out, "Daddy, Mommy, Lucy..."

Coincidentally, William and Mary, who were carrying food with them, saw this scene at the door.

"Margaret!"

A furious roar echoed through the living room!
