Chapter 106 Help Me Beat Him to Death!
"Hurry up and stop the car!" Seeing this, James quickly shouted to Pamela.
"James, what's wrong?"
Pamela was stunned for a moment, then immediately slammed on the brakes, looking at James with a puzzled expression.
Without offering any explanation, James simply pushed open the car door and sprinted towards the direction of the hotel.
Linda and Rex were at the hotel entrance, and James knew Rex was trying to trick Linda into getting a room.
But he never expected Rex to move so fast. He had just confessed today and already had brought Linda to get a room.
Moreover, from Linda's demeanor, James could tell that she wasn't willingly going to the room with Rex.
"James, where are you going?" Pamela shouted as she saw James get out of the car.
"To save someone!" James replied expressionlessly.
At that moment, Pamela also spotted Linda and Rex at the entrance of the hotel.
She quickly grabbed James, her expression filled with excitement as she exclaimed, "James, are you crazy? They treated you so badly before, and have you forgotten? If you go over there now, they'll definitely say you're meddling. Why put yourself through that?"
James was momentarily stunned by Pamela's words, recalling what Linda had said to him before.
But after hesitating for a few seconds, he decided he couldn't just stand by and watch Linda get tricked into bed.
So, he dashed across the street and ran into the hotel.
"James, why are you doing this!" Pamela shouted helplessly.
As James entered the hotel, he noticed that Rex had already dragged Linda to the entrance of the elevator and was about to step inside.
Seeing this, James couldn't care less and rushed over.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang!
James punched Rex in the face, causing him to stagger back a few steps before steadying himself against the wall.
"James?"
Linda looked at James with wide, watery eyes, her expression full of surprise.
"I'm not too late, am I?" James glanced at Linda and asked calmly.
Upon hearing those words, Linda felt deeply hurt and tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.
She felt deep regret, regretting not listening to James before. If she had just heeded his advice, none of this would have happened.
And despite she said so many hurtful things to James, he still stood up to help her. Linda felt she had been too harsh.
"Hey guy I advise you to mind your own business!" Rex shouted at James, eyes wide with anger.
"You scumbag!" James growled and charged at Rex.
Rex and James started grappling with each other.
Because James had been delivering food for years, he was much stronger than Rex. He pinned Rex to the ground, punching him repeatedly in the face.
Rex's head seemed to be like a bowling ball, continuously colliding with the ground and emitting dull thuds.
James vented all his pent-up anger.
But just as Linda thought James had the upper hand and she could escape, a group of people rushed into the hotel!
Seeing the man leading them, Linda was instantly dumbfounded because the leader was Kevin from StreamVerse.
Just moments ago, Kevin happened to pass by and noticed a commotion inside the hotel. Curious to see what was happening, he decided to enter but was taken aback when he discovered that it was James involved in the fight. Quickly, he rushed in.
"James, stop fighting, let's run!" Linda tugged at James's sleeve, speaking urgently.
Upon hearing this, James couldn't help but glance at Linda before calmly saying, "Why do we run?"
"Kevin brought people over; he must be Rex's backup. Thus, we need to run!" Linda said, her expression tense.
"Kevin?"
James was momentarily stunned by the name.
"Yes, it was because Rex helped me that Kevin came to apologize. They must be in cahoots. Let's go!" Linda said, pulling James towards the hotel exit.
After all, Linda still believed that Rex was SuperSmith, so she assumed that Rex had found Kevin, which is why Kevin came to apologize to her.
Seeing Kevin with people now, she assumed Rex had called them.
But Linda didn't know that Kevin didn't know Rex at all; it was all James's doing!
Linda, panicking, tried to pull James away, but he stood still, showing no intention of leaving.
"James, what are you waiting for? Run!" Linda shouted anxiously.
"No need to run!" James replied calmly.
"They're with Rex, you..."
Before Linda could finish, Kevin walked up to James, bowed slightly, and said respectfully, "James, is there anything you need help with?"
"Beat him to death!" James pointed towards Rex standing nearby and spoke in a calm tone.
Without hesitation, Kevin and his men walked towards Rex.
Seeing so many people coming at him, Rex showed a hint of despair in his eyes.
Linda was stunned by the interaction between James and Kevin, her eyes filled with shock.
"Are these people here because of James?"
Linda stammered.
Kevin and his men, following James's order, rushed at Rex without hesitation.
"You..."
Rex tried to speak, but Kevin didn't give him a chance, kicking him in the face.
Then, the group surrounded Rex, punching and kicking him.
Rex's handsome face was now a bloody mess, looking pitiful.
Linda stood beside James, her expression confused, unable to understand what was happening.
In her mind, Kevin had been harassing her to join his streaming guild, and it was Rex who had resolved the issue, leading to Kevin's apology.
From Kevin's apologetic attitude, she thought he was very respectful of Rex.
But now, Kevin seemed not to know Rex at all and was even beating him up.
Yet, he was very respectful to the seemingly ordinary James!
'Could it be that the person who helped me was James, not Rex?'
At this moment, a bold idea popped into Linda's mind, and she couldn't help but look at James.
