At this moment, Rex was arguing with the restaurant receptionist, his face showing great agitation.
"I had already reserved a table earlier, and now you're telling me there's no table available. You owe me an explanation," Rex shouted loudly at the receptionist.

"We can only wait in line now. Linda, I'm really sorry. I didn't know this restaurant had such a rule. If I had known, I definitely wouldn't have brought you here!" Rex apologized sincerely to Linda.
"It's okay, just a little wait won't hurt. Let's just wait; I'm not very hungry right now!" Linda said understandingly.
"As long as you don't mind!" Rex smiled charmingly upon hearing Linda's response.
However, at that moment, James and Pamela also entered the restaurant.
When Rex saw James, his smile instantly disappeared, and he immediately shouted at James with a hostile tone, "What's the matter with you? Wherever we go, you follow. What are you up to?"
When Linda saw James and Pamela enter, an unusual expression appeared on her face. After hesitating for two seconds, she didn't initiate a conversation with James.
"Who wants to follow you? This restaurant isn't owned by your family. If you can come, so can we," Pamela retorted with a fierce look in her charming eyes.
"A poor guy who delivers food definitely can't afford to eat here," Rex shouted loudly.
Upon hearing this, the people in the restaurant turned their heads to look at James.
At this moment, James was dressed very casually and didn't look like someone who could dine there, so the onlookers showed a hint of disdain in their eyes.
"Who are you calling a food delivery guy? It seems like you're asking for a slap in the face!" Pamela shouted in agitation.
"Enough with the noise. Customers in the back, please come and take a number to wait in line!" The receptionist, seeing Pamela about to argue with Rex, impatiently called out.
After hearing the receptionist's words, Pamela quickly walked over in her high heels and whispered to her, "I had made a reservation at your restaurant before for Room 8!"
"It's peak dining hours now, so please join the line!" The receptionist handed Pamela a number tag with an expressionless face.
Pamela hesitated for a moment upon seeing the number tag.
"Don't think too much. The people in front of you also made reservations and are currently waiting in line!" The receptionist seemed to sense Pamela's confusion and quickly explained.
Pamela stood still for a moment, then handed the number tag back to the receptionist and pouted, "Forget it, we won't eat here!"
"If you don't wait in line, the deposit won't be refunded!" The receptionist reminded her softly.
"$500? Just take it; I'm not like some people who are so unwilling to part with $500 that they stand in line with their eyes wide open. If you're broke, don't pretend to be a rich heir!"

Upon hearing this, Rex's face immediately turned ugly.
Today, Pamela had planned to treat James to dinner to please him, but if she had to queue with him, that wouldn't do. So Pamela decided to change restaurants to treat James to dinner.
"James, this restaurant requires queuing. Let's go to another place!" Pamela said softly to James.
James hesitated for a moment and turned to leave.
At this moment, with Linda and Rex present, James felt annoyed, so he decided to take this opportunity to leave.
But just as James was about to turn and leave, a middle-aged man in a suit suddenly walked out of the restaurant.
Upon seeing James, the middle-aged man was momentarily stunned, then respectfully approached and greeted James, saying, "James, you're here. You should have informed me in advance if you were coming to our restaurant for a meal!"

The middle-aged man who had just walked out of the restaurant was none other than Mark, the manager of Moonlight Garden!
"James, are you here to dine at our place?" Mark bowed slightly, approached James with a flattering expression, and asked respectfully.
"I was planning to bring a friend for a meal, but it seems that your restaurant is full. I was thinking of going elsewhere!" James replied with an expressionless face.
