"What do you mean by that, Rufus?" Laura asked Rufus with a frown.
Laura, Reid, and others didn't have a good relationship with Rufus, so Laura knew that Rufus must have some ulterior motive for saying this.
"My meaning is simple. I think it's possible for James to know Wilford, but there's no way he knows Lucian. This Lucian must be someone James hired to act for him!" Rufus shouted at everyone with a blank expression.

"Floyd, I don't mean anything else. I just can't stand someone acting here. Maybe I've worked in the government for too long and didn't consider others' feelings when I said that!" Rufus replied calmly, then returned to his seat, seemingly not intending to continue arguing with James and Conrad.
But while Rufus could stop arguing, the other guests were very curious about whether the person who came to give the gift was really Lucian!
