Chapter 420 Do You Have the Qualification?

When the security guards heard James, they didn't hesitate anymore. After all, who wouldn't jump at four million bucks?

These guys were making fifty grand a year tops at most. Four million was like hitting the jackpot multiple times over.

So, they didn't care who they were up against. Even if it was God himself, they'd still go for it. Four million was worth the risk.

In no time, the four security guards were grappling with Cecil's two bodyguards.

James watched with a smirk and let out a soft sigh, "Money really does talk!"

He finally got what that saying meant.

When James offered his Ferrari as a reward, the security guards believed him. He'd just shown them the car, so they knew he wasn't bluffing.

Plus, there were four of them and only one James. They figured he wouldn't dare back out.

The guards fought like their lives depended on it. They knew if they could take down Cecil's bodyguards, their lives would change forever. No more struggling, no more being looked down on. They weren't about to let this chance slip away.

James stood by, enjoying the show. He was finally getting a taste of what it felt like to be loaded.

But Pamela, standing next to him, was freaking out. She knew James might be broke and didn't have much cash left.

If it was the old James messing with someone like Cecil, she wouldn't have cared. But now, she was worried James couldn't handle it if things got out of hand.

She also thought offering the Ferrari was a dumb move. That car was worth eighteen million dollars! He could sell it and do something smarter with the money.

Why did he have to be so reckless?

But Pamela didn't realize the car meant nothing to James.

"James, you need to stop this! It's not gonna end well for anyone!" Pamela shouted, panicking.

"Not gonna end well? I don't see it that way," James replied calmly, turning to look at her.

Pamela was confused. She couldn't figure out why James was acting like this.

Truth be told, James didn't really know either. Maybe he wanted to protect Pamela, or maybe he just needed to blow off some steam.

After what happened with Matthew, James's whole outlook had shifted.

Back in the day, James was always broke, so he preferred to keep things chill and avoid any drama. As Pamela would say, he didn't dare to stir the pot because he was scared he couldn't handle the fallout.

Even after he came into all that money, James still played it safe, always tiptoeing around.

But now, James felt like there was no point in playing nice. He was the richest guy on the planet, so why should he be scared of these nobodies?

"James, please, I'm begging you, stop this!" Pamela pleaded, not knowing what was going through his mind.

James gave her a calm look and asked, "Do you really think Cecil will let me off the hook if I stop now?"

Pamela was taken aback. Deep down, she knew that after James had kicked Cecil, there was no way Cecil would just let it slide.

Even though Cecil's bodyguards were pros, they couldn't handle the sheer number of security guards from the sales office.

In less than three minutes, the four security guards had taken down Cecil's bodyguards.

Seeing the bodyguards completely out of commission, James smirked and walked straight towards Cecil and Marc.

Cecil was in shock. He never thought James would have the guts to not only kick him but also get the security guards to take down his bodyguards.

If he'd known this was going to happen, he would've brought more muscle.

"James, what... what are you gonna do?" Cecil stammered, still feeling the pain from James's kick.

"What do you think?" James replied, squinting at him.

"James, I'm warning you, I'm Cecil. If you lay a finger on me, I'll make sure you regret it!" Cecil threatened, not as cocky as before.

James slapped Cecil hard across the face, then grabbed his hair and squinted at him. "What did you just say?"

Everyone was stunned, their jaws practically on the floor.

No one expected James to be this hardcore, even daring to hit a mob boss like Cecil!

Even Pamela looked worried because she realized James was dead set on escalating things today.

"James, you might not be scared of me, but don't forget about Pamela. If you touch me again, I'll make sure she gets fired!" Cecil shouted, trying to use his position as the vice president of Harmony Realty Group to intimidate James.

"Fire Pamela?" James laughed, then sneered, "Do you really think you still have the power to do that?"
