Chapter 214 Come to My House for a Visit!
Meanwhile, James pulled up to Sylvie's neighborhood entrance.
"Alright, I'm heading back now," James said softly as he got out of the car.
Just as he was about to leave, Sylvie quickly asked, "Hey, why don't you come over for a bit?"
"Maybe next time. I'm pretty wiped out and just wanna crash early," James replied, already turning to leave.
"If you're tired, you can rest at my place. And if it's too late, just crash at my house tonight!" Sylvie grabbed his arm, her voice gentle.
James was taken aback. If any other girl had asked him to stay over, he might not have thought much of it. But Sylvie was different. Earlier in the car, she had hinted at wanting to be his sugar mama and even tried to seduce him. Now she was being even more direct, asking him to stay over!
Wasn't this a bit too obvious?
James couldn't wrap his head around why he had suddenly become so popular with women, especially with someone like Sylvie, a TikTok influencer, showing interest in him.
Seeing the hesitation in his eyes, Sylvie smiled and said, "James, what are you standing there for? Come on up with me!"
"Isn't it kinda inappropriate for us to stay together?" James asked softly.
"What are you talking about?" Sylvie replied with a helpless smile.
"Didn't you just say you wanted me to be your boyfriend?" James said, feeling a bit helpless.
Sylvie paused for a moment, then burst into laughter.
"What's so funny?" James asked, puzzled.
"You're hilarious. Did you really think I fancy you? Do you know who I am? Plenty of guys are into me. Why would I chase after someone like you with no money and no looks?" Sylvie laughed, pointing at him.
"If you don't like me, then why did you ask me to stay over? I'm outta here," James said, feeling a bit angry. He turned and started walking towards the neighborhood entrance.
"Are you mad?" Sylvie called out, seeing his expression change.
"No, just tired and wanna go back early," James responded without looking back.
"James, I asked you to stay because I'm worried you might run into Victor and his crew. Don't forget, Victor's looking for you all over Lumina City. If he catches you, it won't end well," Sylvie reminded him.
"He wouldn't dare touch me," James replied calmly.
"Are you nuts? Victor's known for holding grudges. Are you sure he wouldn't dare? You got into trouble with him because of me. I don't want anything to happen to you, so just stay at my place for the night!" Sylvie shouted, seeing he was really about to leave.
James hesitated. Sylvie had a point. Victor had been beaten up by him earlier, and he knew James was with Sylvie. If Victor sent people after him, it could get dangerous. Plus, it was late, and James didn't want to bother Terry and the others for protection.
"Alright then, since you don't mind, I'll stay at your place tonight," James reluctantly agreed.
Sylvie rolled her eyes and said, "Do you know how many people would kill to stay at my place? And here you are, acting like you are doing me a favor. Who do you think you are?"
James gave an awkward smile and followed her into the neighborhood.
Ten minutes later, they arrived at Sylvie's place, which was a standard two-bedroom apartment, not huge but cozy and clean, with a warm vibe.
"Did you rent or buy this place?" James asked as he settled on the sofa.
"I bought it. There are two bedrooms; you can crash in the guest room tonight," Sylvie replied casually.
"Alright," James nodded and was about to check out the guest room when Sylvie started unbuttoning her shirt.
"What are you doing?" James stammered, startled.
"Taking off my clothes, what else?" Sylvie said nonchalantly, then took off her shirt.
James instinctively closed his eyes.
Seeing this, Sylvie laughed and said, "James, relax! Open your eyes; I'm wearing clothes underneath!"
James hesitated, then slowly opened his eyes. Sylvie wasn't lying. She had on a white tank top that hugged her curves, making her look particularly alluring.
James took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. But Sylvie was just too tempting; her body seemed to have a magnetic pull on his gaze.
"So, how do you like my figure? Better than your fiancée's?" Sylvie asked seductively.
"No," James shook his head without thinking.
Sylvie rolled her eyes and said, "You watch TV for a while; I'm going to take a shower."
With that, she walked into the bathroom, leaving James no time to respond.
A shower?
James sat there, stunned, remembering how Cynthia had used the same tactic before. First, she tricked him into coming home, then said she was going to take a shower. Afterward, she'd come out in some sexy outfit to seduce him.
It wasn't that James was overly cautious; it was just that Sylvie was acting too strange. Plus, he didn't want to betray Laura, so he was on high alert.
The problem was that Sylvie's actions mirrored Cynthia's routine exactly!
"These women are really cunning. I should leave," he murmured.
James hesitated on the sofa for five minutes, then decided to get up and leave. He felt that if he stayed any longer, something would definitely happen.
But just as he was about to get up, the bathroom door opened.
When James saw Sylvie coming out, his eyes widened in surprise. He hadn't expected her to finish her shower so quickly and change into a new outfit!
Sylvie was wearing a black lace nightgown, her hair wet, and her body radiating heat. The nightgown clung to her curves, and her long legs were fully exposed.
Looking at the sexy and alluring Sylvie, James couldn't take his eyes off her.
After a long while, he shook off his reverie and thought, 'What is Sylvie trying to do? Is she really trying to seduce me?'
James couldn't understand. If she wasn't trying to seduce him, why would she wear such a sexy nightgown in front of him?
