Chapter 78 I'll Just Buy It for You
James couldn't help but be excited when he saw Pamela's beautiful legs.
He then said, "You better focus on driving. I don't want to die halfway there!"
"Alright!"
Pamela saw that James was unmoved by her allure and reluctantly agreed, then started driving seriously.
Half an hour later, Pamela parked the car in front of a sales office.
"Mr. Smith, we're here!" Pamela said softly to James.
"Okay!"
James nodded slightly and then reached out to push open the car door.
Just as James was about to get out of the car, he suddenly saw a very familiar figure walking out of the sales office.
"What's she doing here?" James couldn't help but mutter softly.
Sharon heard this and quickly turned her head to look at the entrance of the sales office.
She saw a beautiful girl in a black bodycon dress, wearing high heels, walking out.
And this girl was none other than James's exceptional fiancée, Laura!
Pamela noticed that James was strange after seeing Laura and that he hadn't moved an inch, so she couldn't help but ask softly, "Mr. Smith, do you know her?"
"Yes, you go inside the sales office first. I'll join you in a bit!" James replied expressionlessly.
James wasn't worried about revealing his identity in front of Linda, but he was concerned about exposing himself in front of Laura.
Because the inheritance agreement clearly stipulated that James could not reveal his identity before marrying Laura.
James hid his identity from others to live a low-key life; he didn't want others to disrupt his life.
If everyone knew that James had inherited a trillion-dollar fortune, he wouldn't be able to live a normal life, and all sorts of people would come knocking on his door.
But hiding his identity from Laura was because James had no choice. His grandfather's cousin had made such a harmful will, so he had to accept it.
Hearing James's words, Pamela hesitated for a moment but eventually walked into the sales office.
James then walked towards Laura. Today, Laura was wearing a tight T-shirt that perfectly accentuated her curves, and her slender waist exuded an enticing aura.
She wore a black bodycon mini skirt that barely covered her alluring hips, and her delicate feet were in black high heels, giving her an extremely pleasing appearance.
During his three years at the University of Lumina, James had seen many beautiful women, but he felt that none could compare to Laura.
Laura's temperament and looks were top-notch.
And such an exceptional woman was his fiancée, which might be the ultimate dream for most men.
Unfortunately, this fiancée was only in name,!
James knew that to truly marry Laura, he would have to reveal his true identity to her; otherwise, Laura would never fall for him.
James sighed lightly, then walked up to Laura and said with a smile, "What a coincidence to run into you here!"
"James?"
Laura, who had been frowning, was suddenly shocked to see James.
"What are you doing here?" Laura asked, looking at James.
James was about to speak when a pleasant phone ringtone suddenly rang.
"Hold on! I need to take this call."
Laura knew it was her phone ringing, so she quickly took it out of her bag and answered it.
"Laura, how's the villa your dad asked you to check out today?" came the voice of a middle-aged woman on the other end of the line.
"Mom, I'm at the sales office now. I just saw the house. The location is great; it's very close to the company, and the surrounding facilities are excellent. The environment in the community is also good!" Laura replied sweetly.
"If you think it's good, then buy it quickly. Your dad has been urging you to buy a villa recently," Dorothy Hall said gently.
Laura glanced at James instinctively and then said helplessly, "Mom, the villa is indeed nice, but it's a bit expensive. The one I like costs over five million. Dad's company has just started to recover, and if we spend that much money at once, I'm worried that if the company faces any issues, we won't have enough funds to manage."
"I see," Dorothy replied softly and then said, "Alright, we'll discuss it with your dad when you get back. If necessary, we can take out a loan."
"Okay!"
Laura nodded slightly and then hung up the phone.
"Are you here to buy a house?" James asked with a smile after seeing Laura hang up the phone.
"Yes!"
Laura nodded slightly and continued, "My dad's company just moved to a new office, and the villas here are close to his company, so my parents want to get me a new house."
"I see!"
James nodded slightly and didn't say much.
"Why are you here? Are you working part-time?"
Laura looked James up and down, thinking he couldn't possibly be here to buy a house. After all, all the houses here were villas, with the cheapest costing over three million. Even Laura, the daughter of a business owner, couldn't afford to pay in full, let alone James, who was a nobody.
"I'm here to look at houses too!" James replied lightly.
"Are you kidding me?"
Laura was stunned by James's words and then pouted, "Do you even know how much the houses here cost? You definitely can't afford them."
"Even if I can't buy one, can't I at least look?" James said playfully.
Laura was speechless at James's words. She couldn't understand why her father had arranged such an odd fiancé for her.
Even if James were a bit more normal, Laura wouldn't have made those agreements with him.
But Laura thought James was really out of his mind. She couldn't figure out what he was thinking, so she naturally couldn't agree to marry him.
"By the way, I heard you say on the phone that you liked a villa but couldn't afford it, right?" James asked, looking at Laura.
"Are you planning to lend me money?" Laura asked irritably.
"You're my fiancée. Talking about lending money is too formal. How about I just buy the villa and give it to you?" James said with a smile.
"Sure, if you can really buy that villa for me, I won't pretend anymore. I'll marry you and do whatever you want!" Laura knew James was just bragging. How could he afford the villa? After all, she was the one giving him his monthly allowance.
There was no way he had enough money to buy a five-million-dollar villa.
"Are you serious?" James asked quickly.
"Of course!"
Laura nodded with a smirk, thinking James couldn't possibly afford the villa.
"Then wait here!" James replied lightly and then turned to walk into the sales office.
