Chapter 48 Pamela's Invitation

Stephanie took a deep breath and quickly made up her mind.

In a soft voice, she said to James, "Mr. Smith, are you really planning to give me this villa?"

"Yes!" James nodded indifferently.

After that, Stephanie picked up the contract on the table without much thought and quickly wrote her name.

When everyone saw Stephanie sign the contract, expressions of envy appeared on their faces.

After all, in their eyes, Stephanie, at this moment, was no different from winning the lottery.

At this moment, Pamela was filled with regret. If it weren't for her materialism, she should have been the one signing the contract.

Since James was buying the house in full, there weren't many complicated procedures. In no time, Stephanie completed the formalities with the sales department staff.

Stephanie officially became the owner of that villa!

At that moment, people in the sales department looked at Stephanie with envy.

Everyone was fantasizing about how great it would be if this happened to them today!

After seeing Stephanie complete the formalities, James turned and walked towards the outside of the sales department without looking at Pamela, who was standing aside trying to get his attention.

Stephanie saw James about to leave and hurriedly caught up with him, then said somewhat shyly, "Mr. Smith, thank you for giving me a villa."

"No need to thank me," James replied.

"Well, here is my phone number. Feel free to call me anytime you need something." Stephanie hesitated for a moment, then took out a piece of paper from her clothes and handed it to James. She looked very shy.

"What do you mean?" James looked puzzled.

"Aren't you giving me such an expensive villa because you want..." Before she could finish her sentence, Stephanie blushed and couldn't finish speaking.

"So what?" James was still in confusion.

"Aren't you trying to keep me as your mistress or lover?" Stephanie finally mustered the courage to say these words.

"I have no intention of keeping you as my mistress." James was instantly dumbfounded, not knowing what to say for a moment.

Looking at Stephanie in front of him, James was speechless.

He never expected that giving the villa to Stephanie would make her think he wanted to keep her as a mistress.

James never had such thoughts!

"Mr. Smith, rest assured. I have never had a boyfriend since I went to college. I am still a virgin!" Seeing James remain silent, Stephanie thought he was disgusted with her and quickly added.

James glanced at Stephanie. He had to admit she was quite beautiful with a graceful figure and a youthful face.

Both in terms of figure and appearance, Stephanie could be considered a top beauty.

With a little dressing up, she could compete with those B-list celebrities.

If it were the old James, upon seeing such a beauty coming to him, he would have taken her to a hotel without a second thought.

But now, James had met Laura. Although Laura was only his nominal fiancée, James had no intention of having a relationship with other women.

At least, as long as Laura didn't do anything to betray James, he would be loyal to her.

"I think you may have misunderstood me," James hesitated for a moment and said to Stephanie.

Stephanie looked puzzled when she heard James' words.

"I gave you this villa without any other intentions. I just felt sorry for you being bullied, which reminded me of my past. This villa means nothing to me, so I gave it to you as a gift!" James explained to Stephanie.

Just then, Pamela, who was passing by, overheard James' words. She couldn't help but gasp in shock, surprised.

After all, it was the first time she had seen someone treat an eight-million-dollar villa as a gift.

But she might not know that to James, this eight-million-dollar villa was not much different from eight hundred dollars.

"Mr. Smith, are you not implying that I should be your lover?" Stephanie looked at James with a dumbfounded expression.

"No!" James shook his head.

"In that case, I can't accept this villa!" Stephanie hesitated for a moment, gritted her teeth, and said.

"Why?" James asked Stephanie in a puzzled tone.

"This villa is so expensive, and you're giving it to me without any conditions. I can't accept it..." Stephanie said.

"This villa means nothing to me. Don't worry. I won't ask anything of you!" At this moment, James was also helpless. He never expected Stephanie to be so straightforward, refusing the villa just because she didn't want to be his lover.

In all his life, James had never encountered a beauty who came to him and took the initiative to be his lover!

When James had no money before, any girl would look down on him, even Jennifer.

But now, everything had changed!

Perhaps this was the power of money!

"Stephanie, why are you so naive? Mr. Smith give you the villa and you just accept it. Why are you talking so much nonsense!" At that moment, Pamela suddenly walked out and loudly advised Stephanie.

"Miss Gray, I can't accept such a valuable thing!" Stephanie continued.

If James wanted to keep Stephanie as his mistress, Stephanie could accept it. After all, the villa was exchanged with her body!

But now that James didn't want anything and just gave her a villa for free, Stephanie couldn't accept it.

"Stephanie, your father is still in the hospital, right? And your family is so poor. Now, if you sell the villa, you'll have the money to pay for your father's surgery!" Pamela continued to persuade Stephanie.

Stephanie hesitated for a moment, then looked up at James.

"Don't worry. Since I said I would give you the villa, I won't take it back. The villa is yours now. You can do whatever you want with it!" James said to Stephanie.

Upon hearing these words, Stephanie was filled with excitement. She bowed to James and said, "Mr. Smith, thank you so much. I really don't know how to repay you."

"You don't need to thank me," James replied, then turned to leave the sales department.

Stephanie stood still, watching James leave with grateful eyes.

Pamela, in high heels, swaying her hips, hurriedly caught up. "Mr. Smith, wait for me..."

"Do you have anything else?" After leaving the sales department, James turned to look at Pamela, his tone calm.

James had no good feelings towards Pamela, so he didn't intend to pay attention to her.

"Mr. Smith, didn't you say that the houses here are not up to your standards? In that case, we have a high-end villa area in the suburbs. If you're interested, I can take you there to have a look. By the way..." Pamela deliberately approached James and said.

"It's a bit late today. Let's talk about it another time!" James didn't even think about it and refused.

"Mr. Smith, it's still early now. Let's go and see. There might be surprises in the villas at night!" Pamela coquettishly said to James.

Seeing Pamela's flirtatious behavior, James hesitated a bit.
