Chapter 113 Janet's Concern
A class session passed quickly.
As Janet heard the bell, she simply uttered, "Class dismissed," and then walked out of the classroom with her teaching materials.
"Janet's figure is really top-notch. If I could get a girlfriend like her, I'd be willing to lose my manhood," Tyler muttered as he watched Janet's alluring figure.
"Therefore, you are available for our rendezvous," Paul teased Tyler.
"Don't mock me," Tyler retorted irritably.
Hearing Tyler and Paul's conversation, James couldn't help but be reminded of the scene he witnessed earlier in Janet's dorm room.
Although Janet had a naturally seductive look and a hot body, and classmates often fantasized about her in private, James knew that despite her flirtatious appearance and sexy attire, she was actually quite traditional and not as open as everyone thought.
"James!"
At that very moment, Janet, who had already departed from the classroom, unexpectedly returned and called out to James from the doorway.
"What's up?" James stood up quickly, looking puzzled.
"Come out for a moment, I need to talk to you," Janet said calmly before walking out of the classroom.
He hesitated for a moment but then followed Janet out.
Paul and Tyler exchanged puzzled glances as they watched James leave.
"Paul, have you noticed that James has been developing a rather close relationship with Teacher Carter recently?" Tyler whispered to Paul.
"Yeah, a bit," Paul nodded and then smirked. "Do you think something's going on between James and Teacher Carter?"
"Don't be ridiculous. Teacher Carter wouldn't be interested in James," Tyler said, exasperated.
"Why not? James may be poor, but he's good-looking and has a great body. It's possible the counselor likes him," Paul replied softly.
Tyler paused, then said thoughtfully, "You could be onto something there. Teacher Carter's family appears affluent, and she likely isn't concerned about James's financial status. Perhaps they are truly a couple!"
"Let's ask James when he gets back," Paul suggested.
Meanwhile, after leaving the classroom, Janet led James to a secluded spot and turned to face him.
James couldn't help but stare at Janet. She possessed an extraordinary level of attractiveness, emanating an irresistible charm. At his age, it was hard for him to control his impulses, and he found himself drawn to her long, fair legs and the enticing curves under her short skirt.
Janet's figure was simply perfect.
Not only was she beautiful, but she also had a seductive aura. Even her casual movements were alluring, making it hard for anyone to resist her charm.
"Have you looked enough?" Janet suddenly asked James.
"Sorry, you're just too beautiful," James replied, scratching his head and smiling.
Janet rolled her eyes at him and proceeded to retrieve a business card from her pocket. "This is my friend's business card. Her bar is opening this afternoon. The address is on the card. If you don't have classes, you can go there. The pay is $200 a day, and you can get paid the same day."
"Thank you," James said, even though he didn't really want to work as a bartender. He had already promised Janet so that he couldn't refuse.
"No need for gratitude. As your teacher, it's my responsibility," Janet advised. "However, I must caution you that my friend has a rather volatile temperament, so it would be wise not to provoke her."
"Got it." James nodded again.
"That's all I wanted to say, then you can go back now," Janet said, waving him off before turning to leave.
James headed back to the classroom.
"By the way, James!" Just as he was about to depart, Janet called out to him.
"Teacher Carter, is there something else?" James asked, turning back.
"James, did you know there's been a thief at our school recently?" Janet asked.
James furrowed his brow, sensing that Janet was insinuating he could be the thief. "I know."
"Good. Be careful and don't leave your wallet in the dorm. Some students might suspect you, but I know you're not that kind of person. Once I find the thief, the truth will come out," Janet said seriously.
James felt deeply moved. He had thought Janet would suspect him like the other students, but she was actually comforting him.
"That's all. Remember to go to the bar this afternoon," Janet said before walking away.
James watched her seductive figure, feeling a mix of emotions.
Despite James inheriting a fortune, there were individuals like Janet who genuinely cared about him regardless of his wealth.
"James, stop staring. It's time for gym class!" Paul and Tyler called out as they left the classroom.
"Got it," James replied, then proceeded to follow them to the sports field.
"James, you've been getting pretty close to Teacher Carter lately. Is something going on between you two?" Tyler asked, putting an arm around James's shoulder.
"Yeah, why does she keep looking for you?" Paul added.
"She wants me to work part-time at her friend's bar. If you guys want the job, I can give it to you," James explained reluctantly.
"No thanks, I don't want a part-time job," Tyler quickly declined.
"Me neither," Paul agreed.
