Chapter 438 Ambiguous Atmosphere

Not long after, Sharon came back to James with two glasses of whiskey.

"Mr. Smith, I wasn't sure what you liked, so I got you a whiskey!" she said, handing him the spiked drink.

James glanced at the whiskey but didn't take it. Instead, he looked at Sharon and asked, "So, are you gonna tell me why you called me out here?"

Seeing that James wasn't drinking, Sharon looked a bit nervous. She softly asked, "Mr. Smith, won't you try this whiskey? I heard it's really good."

"What did you call me out here for?" James asked, sounding impatient.

Seeing his impatience, Sharon hesitated for a moment and then said, looking a bit pitiful, "Actually, Mr. Smith, I called you out because I felt I offended you at the company before, and I wanted to apologize in person."

"You called me out just for this?" James asked, frowning in confusion.

"Yes, what else could it be? I knew if I called you out, you wouldn't come, so I had Evelyn call you instead," Sharon said, trying to look pitiful.

James didn't realize Sharon was lying, so he replied, "I forgot about that a long time ago. You don't need to worry about it."

"Really?" Sharon's eyes lit up with excitement.

"Of course!" James nodded, a bit helplessly.

"So, Mr. Smith, you've forgiven me, right?" Sharon asked, looking at him.

"Yes, I forgive you." James nodded again.

"Then please, accept my toast." Sharon, being quite cunning, seized the opportunity and raised her glass.

James hesitated for a moment but then raised his glass too. He didn't want to waste any more time with Sharon, so he clinked glasses with her and drank the whiskey.

Seeing James downed the drink, Sharon's eyes flashed with triumph.

The whiskey Sharon had chosen was indeed quite good. Although James had worked in a bar before, this was his first time drinking whiskey.

After finishing the drink, James felt there was nothing else to discuss, so he stood up and said to Sharon, "If there's nothing else, I'll be leaving now!"

Sharon didn't expect James to be in such a hurry to leave. The drug she used was effective but needed at least half an hour to kick in. If James left now, all of Sharon's plans would be ruined.

So Sharon quickly grabbed James's arm and said in a flirty tone, "Mr. Smith, we rarely get to meet. How about we go dance?"

"Dance?" James was caught off guard by Sharon's suggestion and shook his head. "I don't know how."

"No worries, I'll teach you!" Sharon replied with a smile and pulled James towards the dance floor.

James wanted to refuse, but Sharon was surprisingly strong and dragged him to the edge of the dance floor.

"Look, I really can't dance. How about this: I'll watch you dance from the side, and then I'll leave when you're done. How does that sound?" James said, feeling a bit helpless.

"Mr. Smith, you can't sneak away!" Sharon said softly after a moment's hesitation.

"Don't worry, I won't leave," James replied, still feeling a bit trapped.

After a brief pause, Sharon walked onto the dance floor.

Sharon's real goal in dragging James to dance was to buy time for the drug to kick in.

James had no clue about Sharon's intentions or why she had called him out.

Since it was still early and he had nothing to do after going back, James found a spot by the dance floor and watched Sharon walk onto the dance floor.

The dance floor was already packed, and Sharon's entrance immediately caught the eyes of many men.

Sharon's sexy outfit—a tight skirt that highlighted her curves—and her seductive face made her a standout in the bar.

But Sharon wasn't interested in the other people on the dance floor; her main focus was James.

Even while dancing, Sharon kept her eyes on James, worried he might leave suddenly.

In the center of the dance floor, colorful lights flashed over the crowd, the strong beat pulsed, and people moved their hips and waists wildly, creating a highly suggestive atmosphere.

Although Sharon didn't frequent nightclubs, the vibe quickly got her moving to the music.

Under the dim lights, the bartender swayed gracefully while mixing drinks, and the lonely hearts on the dance floor were letting loose.

Sharon gradually got into the groove, moving wildly with the crowd. Her movements became more intense, her eyes more dreamy, and she exuded an irresistible charm, ready to capture any man's heart.

The bar was filled with a suggestive atmosphere, and Sharon's seductive moves kept drawing James's attention.

At this moment, Sharon had let go of all her inhibitions. She just wanted to go wild for James.

Sharon had not only drugged James's drink but also her own, ensuring her plan for the night would go smoothly.

She was willing to do anything to be with James!
