Chapter 23 Checking in at the Crystal Starlight Hotel
Ten minutes later, a taxi arrived at the front of the Crystal Starlight Hotel. James knew that many couples from the University of Lumina would come here for a stay during the weekends. However, James had never stayed in a hotel before, so he didn't know any other place and could only bring Ashley here.
"James, this is my first time, and you brought me to such a shabby hotel?" After getting out of the car, Ashley seemed somewhat dissatisfied.
"I could only find you a hotel. Believe me, I could take you to the woods right now and have my way with you?" James replied expressionlessly.
Upon hearing James' words, Ashley's pretty face blushed in embarrassment. She reluctantly warned, "I'm warning you, do not breathe a word about us staying together to anyone, or I will end you! And once we're in the room, you can't kiss or touch me; make it quick. We'll have no further ties after this, do you understand?"
James was utterly flabbergasted by Ashley's statements and proceeded to book a room at the hotel front desk.
As James and Ashley entered, the receptionist couldn't help but feel puzzled upon seeing the mismatched pairing—James in plain attire and Ashley looking stunning and alluring, clearly not the typical couple.
Though Ashley had raised her voice while speaking to James earlier, it was actually her first time staying in a room with a guy, making her quite nervous. Standing at the room's threshold, Ashley hesitated for a prolonged moment, feeling uncertain about proceeding.
"Come in." James emotionlessly opened the door and said.
"No!" Ashley began to regret stepping inside as soon as she crossed the room's threshold.
"Are you backing out?" James coldly inquired while looking at Ashley.
"Yes, I am! This is my first time, and I refuse to be intimate with a loser like you!" Ashley's gaze was filled with contempt as she spoke disdainfully to James.
"If you don't enter, I will call Kevin right now. Do you think Kevin will treat you kindly?" James stated calmly.
"Do you think I'm a fool? Kevin has already taken your money. Why should he listen to you? Even if I leave now, you can't do anything to me!" After speaking, Ashley turned and began walking towards the elevator.
"If you dare to leave, I can make Kevin bring you back. Do you believe me?" James remarked with a chilling tone as he watched Ashley walk away.
"You're just trying to scare me, you loser!" Ashley snapped at James before striding towards the elevator without looking back.
As Ashley departed, a sly smile crept onto James' face. He took out his phone and dialed Charles' number.
"James, how may I assist you?" Charles' respectful voice came through as soon as the call connected.
"I need you to go to Stellar Lounge and contact someone named Kevin. Tell him to bring Ashley to room 802 at the Crystal Starlight Hotel!" James stated calmly.
"Alright, James, I'll take care of it right away," Charles replied without further questions.
After ending the call, Charles instructed his staff to contact Stellar Lounge and quickly reached out to Brian and Kevin.
"Who is this?"
Brian, receiving the call within the bar's private booth, sounded somewhat irritated.
"Brian, It's Charles," came the calm reply.
"Mr. Wilsons! How may I be of service to you?" Brian's tone immediately grew respectful upon recognizing Charles' voice. In Lumina City, Charles' reputation demanded such deference.
"Round up your brother Kevin and fetch Ashley. Take her directly to room 802 at the Crystal Starlight Hotel. Clear?" Charles commanded authoritatively.
"Crystal clear!" Brian swiftly complied, unquestioning. Despite not understanding Charles' motives, they dared not defy his orders, even if he was their employer.
With haste, Brian led Kevin towards the Crystal Starlight Hotel, unaware that danger was looming over Ashley.
