Herbert drove James back to Lumina City.
However, after returning to Lumina City, James did not choose to go back to his previous rental apartment. Instead, he went to the villa he had bought earlier.

Lily summarized what Laura had just said.

"Then why are you crying now?" Lily frowned slightly, asking Laura in a puzzled tone.
"I'm crying because James didn't tell me about this earlier. He has been deceiving me all this time!" Laura quickly replied.
"Have you ever thought that if James told you about this, he would lose the right to inherit the fortune? I think anyone would choose to hide this matter!"
Lily gently persuaded.
Hearing this, Laura couldn't help but look up at Lily without saying a word.
"So, you're not really angry because James didn't tell you earlier, but because you think, in James's eyes, you're not as important as the fortune, right?
"Laura, could it be that you've actually fallen for James?" Lily asked Laura in surprise.
Hearing Lily's words, Laura's face immediately turned red with embarrassment, and she quickly said, "How could I possibly like James! He deceived me for so long, I could never forgive him!"
"Laura, I know what you're thinking, but I want to say, if you think you're not as important as the fortune in James's eyes, then you're wrong. You might be misunderstanding James!" Lily said slowly.
"How am I misunderstanding him? He approached me just to inherit the fortune smoothly, didn't he? He just sees me as a tool for inheriting the fortune, right?" Laura quickly shouted.
"If you two had just met, and you said James saw you as a tool for inheriting the fortune, I wouldn't argue with you. After all, you two didn't have any feelings for each other back then. But now, I think you're definitely more important than the fortune in James's heart!" Lily said calmly.
Laura couldn't help but be stunned for a moment, then frowned and asked, "Why do you say that?"
"Do you remember when Savannah made James make a choice?" Lily asked.
Laura nodded.
"I think that choice was to make James choose between you and the fortune. Based on what you just told me, if James didn't reveal his identity in front of you today and didn't call Charles and the others over, Savannah would definitely have harmed you. But if James called those people over, he would lose the right to inherit the fortune!"
Laura seemed to understand something, blinking without saying a word.

"What does James inheriting the fortune have to do with you? Why must James marry you to inherit the fortune? Don't you think this is a bit strange?" Lily asked softly.
