Chapter 293 Dorian's False Accusation
Inside the Hall Family villa.
James, Laura, and others, who were originally planning to go out for dinner, had just stepped out of the room when they saw Dorian, Elowen, and Thalassa approaching.
When Dorian saw James, a flash of anger appeared in his eyes, and he immediately strode over to James.
He grabbed James by the collar and shouted, "James, how dare you come to our house? Get out of here!"
"Dorian, what are you doing? This is the Hall Family's place, not your house! Whether James leaves or not is not up to you!"
Nancy reached out and pushed Dorian away, shouting angrily.
"Nancy, how dare you side with an outsider? If it weren't for him today, I wouldn't have offended Irvin. I was planning to get along well with Irvin, but now James has ruined everything!" Dorian shouted, glaring.
At this moment, Dorian's father, Gino, walked over and ordered Dorian with a serious expression. "Dorian, what are you doing? Let go of James right now!"
"Yeah, Dorian, can't you talk things out? Why do you have to get physical?" Conrad also noticed the situation with James and said expressionlessly.
Seeing Conrad speak, Dorian visibly calmed down a bit, gritting his teeth and saying in a low voice, "Dad, Grandpa, this lousy delivery guy..."
"Let go of James first!" Gino interrupted Dorian directly.
Dorian hesitated for a moment, then slowly released James's collar.
"Dorian, come over here and tell me what happened between you and James."
Conrad waved his hand gently at Dorian, speaking calmly.
In Conrad's eyes, Dorian's temper was not very good to begin with, and since he and James were of similar age, it was inevitable that they would have conflicts the first time they met, so he didn't take it too seriously.
At this moment, the Hall Family members had gathered around, looking at James and Dorian with puzzled expressions.
"Conrad, do you know who I saw at the ArtScape Center today?" Dorian asked Conrad excitedly.
"Who?" Conrad replied indifferently.
"The eldest son of the Hays Family, Irvin!" Dorian answered through gritted teeth.
Everyone was stunned upon hearing the name Irvin, their expressions incredulous.
"Isn't that Irvin from the Hays Family studying abroad?"
Conrad, who also knew who Irvin was, asked in a surprised tone upon hearing the name.
"Yes, he did go abroad, but he came back a week ago!"
Dorian nodded lightly.
"Dorian, I didn't know you knew Mr. Hays?"
"Yeah, not everyone can know someone like Mr. Hays. You should get along well with him in the future!"
"I heard the Hays Family is the richest in Willowbrook, and they have connections in both the business and political worlds!"
The Hall Family members began to whisper among themselves upon hearing Dorian's words.
"Dorian, what does seeing Irvin have to do with James?"
Conrad's expression remained calm as he asked Dorian softly.
"Conrad, here's the thing. Not long ago, the Hays Family invested in a real estate project, and Irvin happened to be in charge of it. I was very interested in this project, so I contacted Irvin while he was abroad, hoping he would let me join him in the project. He agreed that he would take me along once he returned!" Dorian said in a low voice.
"Oh my, our Dorian is really making progress now, being able to do business with Irvin!" Dorian's mother shouted excitedly upon hearing Dorian's words.
After all, among the Hall Family's current generation, Dorian had always been considered the least promising.
Now that Dorian's mother knew Dorian was going to do business with Irvin, she naturally felt a sense of pride.
Even Dorian's father, Gino, looked gratified at this moment.
"The Hays Family members are all very smart, and Irvin is the most promising among the Hays Family children. Dorian, maintaining a good relationship with Irvin will definitely be very beneficial for you!"
Conrad said slowly.
In today's society, besides money, the most important thing might be connections.
Especially in a small place like Willowbrook, this was even more evident.
The Hays Family now controlled most of Willowbrook's resources. If Dorian could maintain a good relationship with Irvin, he wouldn't have to worry about his livelihood for the rest of his life, even if he did nothing.
No one expected that the least promising child of the Hall Family would be so lucky to connect with the Hays Family!
"Conrad, I know that maintaining a good relationship with Mr. Hays is very beneficial for me, so to please Irvin, I specifically went to Jessa's ArtScape Center today, hoping to pretend to run into Irvin and take the opportunity to get on his good side. But I never expected that this plan would fail because of James, making all my previous efforts in vain!"
Dorian pointed at James, shouting angrily.
In fact, Dorian didn't go to the ArtScape Center for Irvin today; he actually went to see the spectacle after hearing that James was going to embarrass himself.
He said this now just to make the Hall Family think that James had affected his relationship with Irvin.
It must be said that Dorian's words were very effective. Upon hearing this, everyone frowned and looked at James angrily.
They couldn't understand why James, an outsider, would want to ruin Dorian's relationship with Irvin.
"Dorian, what exactly happened? Explain it clearly!" Conrad also became interested at this point, squinting at Dorian and asking.
"Grandpa, here's what happened. Today at the ArtScape Center, we saw James competing in a violin contest. Mr. Hays's girlfriend, Jessa, thought James played the violin well and wanted to give him a chance to be in charge of the ArtScape Center!" Thalassa quickly spoke to Conrad.
"The Greer family, where Jessa belongs, is also a big family in Willowbrook. If Jessa appreciates James, that could be an opportunity. This is a good thing!" Conrad said slowly.
"Yes, Miss Greer even offered James a ten-million-dollar annual salary!" Thalassa pouted and said.
Isolde and Joe widened their eyes upon hearing this, their expressions extremely surprised.
