Chapter 418 Falling in Love with James

Pamela felt a wave of relief wash over her after hearing what Marc said.

She figured if James apologized to Marc now, maybe this whole mess would just blow over.

But what she didn't realize was that there was no way James was going to apologize to someone like Marc.

Earlier today, in the Innovation Hub Tower parking lot, James had tried to help Rosalind, only to be accused of being a thief.

That whole ordeal had already left James feeling pretty ticked off.

Then, when he got to the sales office and saw Pamela getting bullied because of him, it just made him even angrier.

James couldn't take out his frustration on Rosalind, but Marc? Marc was fair game.

Sure, Marc was the nephew of the vice president of Harmony Realty Group, which might seem like a big deal to Pamela.

But to James, it was nothing.

Worst case scenario, James could just buy Harmony Realty Group and make Pamela the general manager, right?

Marc had no idea he was about to become James's punching bag.

He thought James let him off the hook because he was scared, so he smirked and said, "Kid, apologize to me now and get out of the sales office, and I won't hold it against you!"

"You won't hold it against me?" James couldn't help but laugh at Marc's words.

"Yeah, I see you know your place..." Marc started to say.

Without a second thought, James slapped Marc hard across the face.

The slap was so sudden that Marc didn't even have time to react, and James had put all his strength into it, making the impact pretty intense.

Marc stumbled back a couple of steps before falling to the ground with a thud, blood slowly trickling from his nose.

Everyone around was stunned, their faces showing pure shock.

Pamela's eyes widened as she looked at James, her chest heaving.

She never expected the usually calm and collected James to have such a fiery temper today!

"Mr. Smith, what are you doing?" Pamela shouted at James, clearly agitated.

James turned his head and gave Pamela a reassuring glance, not saying a word, then walked towards Marc.

"You bastard! You dare to hit me?" Marc couldn't believe James had actually hit him, and he struggled to stand up, shouting at James with a furious expression.

"Do you know why I let you go just now?" James asked Marc, his face expressionless.

Marc looked at James, confusion in his eyes, not understanding what James meant.

"I let you go just now, not because I was afraid of you, but because I needed my hands free to hit you!" James sneered at Marc, and before Marc could react, he rushed towards him.

"Security, where's the security? Someone come quickly!" Marc knew he was no match for James, so when he saw James charging at him, he started yelling for help.

But Marc had bullied the security guards in the sales office so many times that they just ignored his cries for help, standing there with blank expressions.

Seeing the security guards not budging, a look of panic flashed in Marc's eyes, and he tried to make a run for it.

But James was already on him, grabbing his hair and slamming him to the ground.

"James, I'm Cecil's nephew! If you lay a finger on me today, I swear..." Marc screamed in terror, pinned to the ground.

James didn't care, raising his right hand and slapping Marc hard across the face once again.

The sound echoed through the room.

Blood started pouring from Marc's nose, making the scene look pretty gruesome.

The girls in the sales office covered their eyes, shocked that the usually calm James could be so brutal.

And that slap was just the beginning. James kept a tight grip on Marc's hair and continued to slap him.

"This one is for bullying Pamela!"

"And this one is for Pamela!"

James shouted with each hit.

Pamela, standing nearby, watched James sitting on Marc, feeling deeply moved. She figured James was this angry because of her.

Pamela suddenly felt a sense of protection, something she had never felt before.

When Pamela first met James, it was indeed all about the money.

But now, Pamela felt that even if James didn't have a dime, she'd still be with him.

'Even without money, having a guy like him to protect me would be pretty amazing, right?' Pamela stared at James with her big, emotional eyes.

At this moment, Pamela realized that money wasn't everything.

She thought she might really be in love with James.

While Pamela was lost in her thoughts, James kept slapping Marc, putting all his strength into each hit.

James was so angry today, partly to stand up for Pamela and partly to release his own pent-up frustration.

He'd been feeling so trapped lately, and he needed to let it all out.

After dozens of slaps, James started to tire, his movements slowing down.

Marc's face was swollen and bruised, looking like a pig's head, with blood trickling from his nose, his body trembling slightly.

"Stop!"

Just as James was about to raise his hand for another slap, the door of the sales office suddenly burst open!
