Chapter 150 I Have a Fiancée

"Why are you sweating for no reason?" Cynthia asked, panting.

James didn't say anything but anxiously glanced at Cynthia's back, and then he froze because James discovered that Cynthia's underwear didn't have any buttons!

Before inheriting ten trillion dollars, James had fantasized countless times about being in bed with a beautiful woman.

But now, an enchanting beauty right before him, James found himself at a loss on how to remove her underwear. He was extremely anxious, but the more anxious he got, the harder it was to find the buttons!

"Could the buttons be in the front?"

James hesitated for two seconds while looking at Cynthia's ample chest, then started searching for the buttons in the front.

But after searching for a long time, James still couldn't find any buttons, and he was about to go crazy.

At this moment, Cynthia suddenly looked at James and asked, "James, are you impotent or something?"

"Of course not!" James replied in a low voice, then continued to focus on finding the buttons.

"You must be. We haven't even done anything yet, and you're already sweating. Do you have some kind of psychological issue?" Cynthia asked with a puzzled expression.

"I don't have any psychological issues!" James growled helplessly.

"Then why are you sweating so much?"

"Maybe it's too hot in the room."

James made up an excuse.

"How about we take a break?" Cynthia said softly.

"No need. Can I ask you something?"

James felt he couldn't waste any more time, so he decided to directly ask Cynthia how to unbutton her underwear.

Cynthia was taken aback and asked, "What is it?"

"How do you unbutton your underwear?" James asked Cynthia in a very helpless tone.

Cynthia couldn't help but laugh when she heard this and said, "So you've been busy all this time because you don't know how to unbutton my underwear!"

"How do you unbutton it?"

James was on the verge of breaking down.

"The buttons are on the side!"

Cynthia's mood seemed to have relaxed a bit, and she smiled.

"Why are the buttons on the side?" James shouted in frustration, then reached out to feel for the buttons on the side of Cynthia's underwear.

At this moment, Cynthia slowly asked, "James, are you still a virgin?"

"Of course not!"

Fearing potential ridicule from Cynthia, James swiftly shook his head.

"Then why are you struggling to unbutton my underwear?" Cynthia persisted, gazing at James intently.

James didn't feel like responding to Cynthia. He finally found the buttons and tried to unbutton them.

But just then, James's phone rang.

Both James and Cynthia froze when they heard the phone ring.

But after a moment, James snapped out of it and chose to ignore it, continuing to undress.

"James, your phone is ringing," Cynthia hesitated and said softly to James.

"Ignore it!" James replied expressionlessly.

"It's so late; someone must be calling for something urgent. You should answer it. We have the whole night; no rush!" Cynthia said softly to James.

James took a deep breath, silently cursed the caller in his heart, and then took out his phone from his clothes.

But as James saw the caller ID, he froze because the person calling was none other than his fiancée, Laura.

"It's so late; what do you want?" James answered the call and asked coldly.

"James, come to my office at 8 AM tomorrow. Remember to bring your ID and household registration book. We're getting our marriage certificate!" Laura said tiredly.

"Your office?"

"I'll send you the address later. Don't be late!"

Laura knew what James was going to ask, so she interrupted him.

"Okay, got it!"

James nodded.

"See you tomorrow!" Laura replied indifferently and then hung up.

Upon hearing the busy tone, James slowly set down his phone and turned his gaze towards Cynthia.

At this moment, he suddenly felt a pang of guilt. Although he and Laura were only married by name, Laura had never done anything wrong to him, yet he was now in bed with another woman behind her back!

If the roles were reversed and Laura was in bed with another man, James definitely wouldn't accept it.

James simply couldn't accept it. Even the thought of someone confessing their feelings to Laura made him extremely uncomfortable, let alone the idea of her being in bed with another man.

At this moment, a deep sense of guilt surged in James's heart.

"Who was calling you?"

Cynthia also noticed something was off with James and couldn't help but softly ask, "Who was calling you?"

"Cynthia, I might not be able to sleep with you," James said as he picked up his clothes from the bed and started putting them on.

"Why? We just agreed to it," Cynthia said, sitting up quickly with a confused expression.

"Actually, I already have a fiancée, and tomorrow we're getting our marriage certificate. I feel like this would be really unfair to her, so I can't help you, Cynthia," James explained softly as he put on his clothes.

"You have a fiancée?" Cynthia looked at him in shock, her expression incredulous.

She thought someone like James, who seemed so down-and-out, wouldn't have a girlfriend, let alone a fiancée!

"I've had a fiancée for a while. I'm sorry, Cynthia," James said softly.

Cynthia hesitated for two seconds, then said softly, "I should be the one apologizing. I didn't know you had a fiancée. If I had known, I would never have let you sleep with me."

"Cynthia, I admit that I lost control of myself earlier. I shouldn't have acted in that way."

"But if you don't want your parents to pressure you into marriage, you should find someone you truly like and be with him. That would solve the problem, and you wouldn't need to get pregnant and have a child," James said earnestly.

"I've thought about that, but I just can't find a guy I truly like," Cynthia sighed and continued, "Alright, if you have nothing else, you should go. Maybe this is my fate. Sooner or later, I have to get married. The guy my mom introduced this time seems okay, so I'll just agree."

Although Cynthia said this, James could tell she wasn't willing to get married just like that.

"Cynthia, if you had a boyfriend now, would your parents stop pressuring you to get married?" James asked softly.

"Probably, but it depends on whether they like my boyfriend. If they do, they won't pressure me. If they don't..." Cynthia paused and then said slowly, "If they don't, and I insist on marrying him, I think my parents wouldn't say much."

"I see," James nodded thoughtfully.

"The reason my parents are pushing me to get married is that they think I'm getting older and want to marry me off quickly. They're afraid I won't be able to get married when I'm older," Cynthia said slowly.

"Cynthia, you're still young; you'll definitely get married! But I have an idea that could stop your parents from pressuring you," James said, looking at Cynthia.

"What idea?" Cynthia asked excitedly.

"You could let me pretend to be your boyfriend! That way, you can resist the pressure to marry someone else, even if they think I'm not wealthy. And when you eventually find someone you genuinely like, you can simply say we broke up!" James proposed with a smile.

"Why didn't I think of that?" Cynthia said, suddenly realizing.

She had been thinking about how to avoid marriage but never thought of finding a man to pretend to be her boyfriend temporarily.

Even if her parents were unhappy, they wouldn't continue to pressure her to marry someone else.

"James, your idea is brilliant! When you have time, I'll take you to meet my parents and say you're my boyfriend!" Cynthia said happily.

"Sure!" James nodded lightly.

"Thank you so much. Here, take this money!" Cynthia said excitedly, handing James the cash from the table.

"Cynthia, I must confess that I took advantage of you earlier. Consider this my attempt to make amends. Please keep the money," James responded calmly.

Although $200,000 was nothing to James, it was a significant amount for Cynthia, so he had no intention of taking it.

Hearing this, Cynthia blushed as she recalled what had happened between them on the bed.

"Alright, Cynthia, if there's nothing else, I'll be going," James said with a smile, then turned and walked out of the villa.

Cynthia stood there in astonishment, watching James walk away, a trace of confusion reflecting in her eyes.

She realized that James didn't seem like a down-and-out guy at all; otherwise, he wouldn't be uninterested in the money she offered.
