Chapter 394 Make Savannah Your Woman!
"Mr. Smith, no need to stress so much. It's your call in the end. Whether you agree or not, I've got your back!"
Charles couldn't help but speak up when he saw James lost in thought.
"If I marry Laura, what are my chances of taking over the whole company?"
James hesitated for a moment before asking Charles.
"Well..." Charles hesitated, unsure how to respond to James's question.
"Don't hold back, just give it to me straight," James said, looking at Charles.
"Honestly, Mr. Smith, with your current situation, the odds are less than ten percent," Charles said, a bit helplessly.
"Less than ten percent?" James gave a bitter smile. He knew his own limitations. Without Charles's help today, he might not even keep his heir status, let alone control the whole company.
Plus, the current company leaders were all as shrewd as Charles. Getting these old foxes to acknowledge James was a long shot, even at ten percent.
"Mr. Smith, don't worry about the odds. If you really want this, I believe you can make it happen!" Charles tried to comfort James.
"I get what you're saying." James nodded slightly, then stood up to leave. He felt confused and unsure about what to do next.
"By the way, Mr. Smith, what's your connection with Glenn?" Charles quickly asked as James was about to leave.
"I don't know this Glenn guy, and I have no idea why he's helping me," James replied nonchalantly.
"Glenn is the powerful Tigerheart of Serendara. His influence is on another level. If you can leverage your relationship with Glenn, it could really help you take control of the company," Charles said slowly.
"I'll try to reach out to him, but I doubt he'll want much to do with me," James said softly.
"So, what are you planning to do about Savannah?" Charles asked.
"Savannah?" James was taken aback for a moment, a strange look crossing his face.
James had kept Savannah around to ensure his future safety, but now that he had regained his heir status, she was no longer useful to him.
"I'll call Glenn tomorrow and ask him to release her. She's not useful to me anymore," James replied softly.
"Mr. Smith, I don't think you should just let Savannah go," Charles said after a moment of thought.
"What else can I do? She's just a woman, and I don't have any deep-seated grudge against her. I don't want to hold a grudge," James said indifferently.
"I don't mean to hurt her, but I've done some digging on the Edwards family. Savannah is a key player around Matthew, and she's also his half-sister. If we can get Savannah on our side, it would be a huge advantage in understanding the Edwards family. Matthew might have failed this time, but he's not one to give up easily," Charles said seriously, looking at James.
"Get Savannah on our side?" James looked puzzled and then shook his head, saying, "I don't think Savannah is easy to sway. Why would she side with us?"
"You're right. We can't win Savannah over with the usual methods, given her family ties. But if we use some other tactics, the outcome might be different," Charles said with a sly smile.
James noticed the strange smile on Charles's face and asked curiously, "What other tactics?"
"Mr. Smith, if you make Savannah your woman and have her bear your child, things might change!" Charles said with a grin.
"Make Savannah my woman?" James was taken aback, and images of Savannah's alluring face and seductive body flashed in his mind.
Among all the women James knew, Savannah was top-tier in both looks and figure. But she had a fiery temper and a cunning mind. Still, conquering such a thorny rose would be quite the achievement!
But James wasn't interested in a relationship with Savannah right now. He was more concerned about how to handle the situation with Laura.
"Mr. Smith, if Savannah becomes your woman and bears your child, there will be a bond between you. She would never betray you!" Charles said, looking at James.
"You old rascal, what kind of ideas are you cooking up?" James said helplessly, then continued, "Why don't you have Savannah bear your child? That way, she'll listen to you and won't betray me!"
Charles was caught off guard for a moment, then said awkwardly, "Mr. Smith, please don't joke with me. I'm too old and not interested in women anymore!"
"How do you know I'm interested in Savannah? And doesn't the contract say I must marry Laura?" James said, frowning.
"The contract does say you must marry Laura, but that doesn't mean you can't make Savannah your woman. As long as Miss Hall doesn't find out, it's fine!" Charles replied nonchalantly, then stepped forward and said seriously, "Mr. Smith, Savannah is a renowned beauty in Dreamscape City. Are you really not interested in her at all?"
James was taken aback by Charles's words.
He never expected Charles to come up with such a plan to win over Savannah. James admitted that having a beauty like Savannah would satisfy a man's desire for conquest.
But the problem was that James had no interest in Savannah and didn't want to have any relationship with her.
