Chapter 338 Play A Game With You

Upon hearing Savannah's words, everyone present turned their attention to James.

Although they didn't know Savannah's true intentions, they knew she was waiting for James to make a choice.

Savannah squinted at James, her face calm, but inside she was extremely nervous.

Savannah worried that if James really chose to give up on Laura, her plan for the day might fall apart.

Money and love.

These two things are a difficult choice for anyone, and James was no exception.

He had inherited his fortune less than a year ago, and in that year, James had experienced the life of the wealthy and understood how much money could change his life.

If James had to give all this up now, he would certainly be very reluctant.

But if he didn't give it up, Laura's face would be ruined!

Laura had nothing to do with any of this; she didn't even know why Savannah was treating James this way.

In short, Laura was just an innocent bystander, and James felt that it would be incredibly unfair for an innocent woman to get hurt because of his selfishness.

Moreover, this woman was the one James loved the most.

"You have one minute left, James. Have you made up your mind?" Savannah suddenly asked James.

James took a deep breath and slowly squatted down.

When Savannah saw James squat down, a smug smile appeared on her face because she knew her plan had succeeded.

Laura, Nancy, and the others didn't know what kind of decision James was facing or what he had been considering, but they could sense that James was very conflicted and reluctant as he squatted down.

However, in the end, James reached out and picked up his phone, then stood up, gritting his teeth.

"It seems even heroes can't resist the charms of a beauty!" Savannah smiled faintly when she saw James pick up the phone, her expression unusually happy.

"If you want to play this game with me so badly, fine. Today, I'll play with you to the end. I'll make you realize how foolish you have been!" James shouted at Savannah through gritted teeth.

"Make the call!" Savannah replied calmly, looking at James.

James hesitated for two seconds with the phone in his hand. He knew this might be his last time using Charles's resources; after today, he might go back to being a poor delivery guy.

But as long as he could ensure Laura's safety, he had no regrets.

After a moment of hesitation, James dialed a number on his phone.

After a few rings, the call was answered.

"Mr. Smith, what can I do for you?" Charles's voice came through.

"Meet me at The Golden Elm Bistro in Willowbrook within ten minutes!" James said expressionlessly.

Charles was taken aback by James's words and asked in a puzzled tone, "Mr. Smith, is something wrong?"

"Bring your people and meet me at The Golden Elm Bistro in ten minutes, understood?" James repeated coldly, not in the mood to explain.

"Alright, I'll be there right away!" Charles had never heard James speak so seriously before and knew something urgent must be happening.

After Charles agreed, James hung up and immediately called Terry.

"Hello?" Terry quickly answered the call.

"Bring all your company's bodyguards and enforcers to The Golden Elm Bistro in Willowbrook within ten minutes!" James's words were identical to what he had said to Charles, even in tone.

"Alright, I'm on my way!" Terry agreed without hesitation.

James hung up again and, after a moment of hesitation, made a third call.

This third call was to Oscar!

Charles had hired three bodyguards—Oscar, Steven, and Uma—to protect James.

But since nothing major had happened around James, he had never used them. James figured that since today was his last time enjoying such privileges, he might as well use all the connections he could.

If Savannah wanted to play, he would play thoroughly.

"Mr. Smith!" Oscar quickly answered the call.

"Come to The Golden Elm Bistro within ten minutes and bring everyone you can. Understood?" James said through gritted teeth.

"Mr. Smith, what's going on?" Oscar sensed something was off in James's tone and couldn't help but ask.

James slowly looked up at Savannah and said coldly, "I want to kill someone!"

Savannah's eyes flashed with surprise at James's words; she hadn't expected him to be so angry!

Efrain and Vivienne, who were close to James, also clearly heard what he said and were equally shocked.

"Understood, Mr. Smith!" Oscar quickly agreed and hung up.

"Savannah, let's enjoy this game," James said, putting down his phone and looking expressionlessly at Savannah.

Savannah gave a disdainful smile and said, "James, do you really think calling Charles and Terry will be enough to kill me? Aren't you underestimating me a bit?"

James gave Savannah a cold look without saying anything, squinting at the street across from them.

"James, what's going on?" Laura asked anxiously, sensing something was wrong after James made the three calls.

James turned to Laura and said calmly, "Nothing, you'll find out soon."

Just as James finished speaking, the roar of engines suddenly echoed from the street opposite The Golden Elm Bistro.

Everyone turned and saw a massive convoy heading straight for James!
