Chapter 79 Two Materialistic Women

Laura watched James's departing figure, a strange expression suddenly appearing on her face.

Laura suddenly felt that James wasn't joking with her.

Laura hesitated for a moment, then suddenly called out, "James, wait a minute!"

"Do you need something else?" James turned to look at Laura and asked softly.

"What's your bank account number? Last time I asked Nancy to send you living expenses, but you didn't take it. I'll transfer it to you now!" Laura said softly.

"I'll send you my bank account number on Facebook later," James replied indifferently, then continued walking towards the sales office.

A few minutes later, Laura received a message from James.

When Laura saw the message from James on Facebook, she was helpless.

Then she shook her head with a bitter smile and said, "A man who asks me for $20,000 in living expenses every month says he wants to buy me a villa. That's just hilarious!"

Actually, James wasn't joking when he said he wanted to buy Laura a villa. After all, Laura was, in a way, considered James's fiancée.

Even though nothing had happened between them, James thought Laura was quite nice and not a bad person at heart.

Moreover, if she hadn't agreed to marry him, James wouldn't have been able to inherit this fortune so smoothly.

So, James considered buying a villa for her.

James was just thinking about how to give the villa to Laura without revealing his identity. With these thoughts, James walked into the sales office.

When James walked into the sales office, he was completely stunned by the luxury inside. No wonder it was a place that sold villas; the entire sales office looked much more upscale than the one James had visited before.

Moreover, the sales ladies inside were all prettier and had hotter figures, but compared to Pamela, the sexy mature woman, there was still a big gap.

Pamela saw James and quickly ran to his side, calling out sweetly, "Mr. Smith, you're finally here!"

"I just ran into a friend and chatted for a bit," James explained softly to Pamela.

"No problem; let me give you a brief introduction to our villas here!" Pamela said as she ambiguously linked her arm with James's, walking to the model display, and began seductively introducing the villas to James.

The other sales ladies in the sales office were all shocked and had complex expressions when they saw Pamela being so intimate with James.

"Pamela said she would bring a rich heir to buy a villa today. Could it be this guy?"

"No way, this guy looks like a loser. There's no way he has money to buy a villa."

"Yeah, this guy looks like a poor guy. Look at his clothes; they're all cheap stuff!"

"But if he's a loser, Pamela wouldn't treat him like this. It doesn't make sense!"

The sales ladies started whispering among themselves, full of disbelief.

But even so, their eyes were full of disdain when they looked at James. They simply couldn't believe that James could afford a villa in this sales office.

Pamela briefly introduced the environment around the villas, then asked James sweetly, "Mr. Smith, all our villas here are luxuriously decorated. As long as you buy a house, you can move in immediately. What do you think?"

"It's okay," James replied indifferently, then looked at Pamela and said, "Just now, a very pretty girl in a tight skirt came here to look at houses. Can you find out which villa she was interested in?"

Pamela was stunned for a moment when she heard this, then remembered Laura, whom she had met at the entrance of the sales office earlier.

"Mr. Smith, I'll go find the person who attended to your friend earlier. You can ask her directly," Pamela said softly.

"Okay!"

James nodded, then walked to the lounge area and sat on the sofa, playing with his phone.

Pamela walked to the front desk in her high heels and asked softly, "Can you find out who attended to the lady in the tight skirt who just left?"

The receptionist quickly checked the records on the computer and said softly, "Pamela, the lady who just left was attended by Ms. Harris!"

"Ms. Harris?"

Pamela was stunned for a moment, a trace of helplessness flashing in her eyes.

Pamela had been working at Harmony Realty Group for several years and got along well with her colleagues, except for Ms. Harris.

Ms. Harris, whose full name was Kimberly Harris, was Pamela's college classmate. They didn't get along well in school.

After graduating, they both joined Harmony Realty Group. Initially, their relationship was okay.

But later, Kimberly often used underhanded tactics to steal clients from Pamela, causing their conflict to escalate.

Last year, Pamela and Kimberly both competed for the sales manager position.

However, because Kimberly's boyfriend had connections with the company president, Kimberly got the job through the back door and became the head of the villa sales department, while Pamela was assigned to a regular residential sales office.

Although both were managers, Pamela's position was nowhere near as prestigious as Kimberly's, and the income difference was significant.

Pamela was clearly more capable than Kimberly, who was only good at sleeping with men and nothing else.

This made Pamela realize that sometimes, finding the right man was more important than anything else.

Although both Pamela and Kimberly were materialistic and would do anything for wealth, their approaches were different. Kimberly had no bottom line and often slept with clients or superiors to make a sale.

On the other hand, despite loving money, Pamela had her limits.

Unless it was a top-tier rich guy like James, Pamela wouldn't sleep with anyone else.

"Pamela, should I call Ms. Harris over now?" the receptionist asked softly.

Pamela hesitated for a moment, then nodded, saying, "Yes, call her over."

She wanted to take this opportunity with James present to put Kimberly in her place.

The receptionist quickly walked into the sales office.
