Chapter 27 Surprisingly, It's That Kind of Woman
After Terry left the room with James, he hesitated for a moment before saying, "James, are you satisfied with today's events? If not, I can have someone take care of Kevin properly!"
"Kevin is just a thug; it doesn't matter," James said indifferently.
"Alright." Terry nodded and continued, "Shall I drive you back to the school?"
"No need; your car attracts too much attention. If my classmates see me, it won't look good. I'll walk back myself." James declined without a second thought.
"That's fine. If you need anything in the future, feel free to call me," Terry added.
"Okay." James nodded and then turned to leave the Stellar Lounge.
A moment later, Terry drove off, leaving James to walk alone on the bustling streets, reflecting on the events of the past few days.
"Sometimes, money not only allows one to remove clothing but also to make one kneel down like a dog." James sighed.
At that moment, James's phone suddenly rang. Glancing at the phone, James noticed an unknown number with a Lumina City address.
He answered the call with a soft voice. "Hello, who is this?"
"James, it's me. Have you moved the books I asked you to help with to my dorm?" A seductive female voice came from the other end of the line.
The woman was none other than James's university counselor, Janet.
"Teacher Carter, something came up just now, but I'll head over now. Are you in the dorm?" James recalled the task Janet had instructed him earlier while he was in detention in the morning, promptly responding to her.
"I'll be back in a while. You go to the administration office first and fetch them," Janet replied calmly before hanging up.
James pocketed his phone and ran towards the University of Lumina. Though money could afford him luxurious whims, it couldn't alter the fact that James dared not provoke Janet.
Five minutes later, James finally arrived back school and immediately headed to the administration office to retrieve Janet's items. Regret filled James as he wished he hadn't declined Terry's offer earlier and was now burdened with the walk back alone.
Upon reaching the door of the administration office, James knocked.
"Come in!" A middle-aged woman's voice called out.
James pushed the door open and softly said, "Teacher Carter asked me to pick up some items."
The woman glanced briefly at James, then pointed to a large box on the floor, expressionless, and said, "The items are there; move them out."
"Thank you," James responded quietly, bending down to lift the box and heading towards the dormitory.
Janet had asked James to move the textbooks for the semester, but thankfully, it wasn't a lot, making the task relatively easy.
Janet often tasked James with moving items to her dorm in the past, so the dormitory staff already knew James.
In no time, James arrived at the dormitory. Opening the door to Janet's room, a tantalizing fragrance greeted him, reminiscent of Janet's own scent. James took a deep breath and stepped inside.
The University of Lumina provided excellent benefits for its staff, allocating each teacher a one-bedroom apartment within the campus. The dorm rooms were well furnished, and Janet, with her penchant for cleanliness, kept the space immaculate.
Janet seemed to favor pink, evident in the bedspreads and curtains, all matching the hue.
Setting the box down, James clapped his hands, ready to leave.
However, a certain item caught his attention just as he prepared to depart.
A semi-transparent lace nightgown hung on the balcony's laundry rack, swaying gently with the breeze. The nightgown, of a teasing nature due to its lace material, exuded a sensual aura.
James couldn't help but wonder why Janet would purchase such a provocative nightgown. Could it be that Teacher Carter, who appeared open on the surface, held a secret side of sensuality?
Seeing the nightgown stirred something within James, prompting him to walk towards the balcony. Before long, James stood on the balcony, gazing at the provocative nightgown, feeling a hint of excitement.
However, James had no intentions beyond curiosity in the situation. Faced with such allure, any man would find it hard to resist taking a closer look.
"I never imagined Teacher Carter to be such a woman," James softly remarked, recalling the rumors circulating about Janet at the school.
While those rumors aimed to smear Janet's reputation, James still held a good opinion of her. Despite her stern exterior, Janet had been kind to James, even silently helping him with textbooks when he couldn't afford them.
Glancing at the alluring nightgown, James took a deep breath, turning to leave.
Just then, the sound of high heels clicking on the floor echoed from outside.
