Chapter 399 I'll Do Anything!
After stepping into the villa's hall, James quickly took in his surroundings.
The floor was covered in polished black marble, shiny like mirrors, and the fancy crystal chandeliers made the place look super grand and impressive.
"Mr. Smith, because Savannah's situation is a bit unique, we didn't take her back to the Tiger Camp. We had to keep her here in the villa for now," Noe said to James with a smile.
James nodded slightly, then looked at Noe and asked, "So, which room is Savannah in?"
"Right here!" Noe said as he pulled out a key and opened one of the bedroom doors.
As soon as the door opened, Savannah yelled hoarsely, "You jerks, let me out now! I'm telling you, my brother's about to inherit the estate, and I won't let you get away with this!"
James couldn't help but smile at Savannah's words. She was probably still dreaming that Matthew would inherit Willard's estate and come to save her.
At that moment, Savannah saw James and Charles standing at the door. She froze, and confusion flashed in her eyes.
"What are you doing here? Where's my brother?" Savannah instinctively took a couple of steps back, then shouted at James with a look of fear.
"Matthew's already back in Dreamscape City. He's not coming to rescue you," James replied coolly.
"No... no way. Matthew will definitely come to save me. You better let me go now. You're not the heir anymore, and my brother can crush you like a bug. But if you let me go now, I might put in a good word for you with him. Otherwise, you're dead meat!" Savannah shouted venomously at James.
"Who told you I'm not the heir?" James asked Savannah with a half-smile, squinting his eyes.
"What do you mean by that?" Savannah asked, taking a couple of steps back and looking at James after seeing the playful smile on his face.
"Miss Edwards, you probably don't know yet. After the legal team's arbitration, Mr. Smith is still the sole heir of Chairman Willard. So, I'm sorry to inform you that your plan has failed!" Charles, who was standing behind James, said softly to Savannah.
"My plan failed?" Savannah's face showed a flash of shock upon hearing this. The next second, she screamed like a madwoman, "No, that's impossible. How could my plan fail? You must be lying to me. James already exposed his identity in front of Laura. How could he still have the inheritance rights? You must be lying to me!"
"If your plan didn't fail, then why is Charles still standing by my side instead of behind Matthew?" James asked Savannah, squinting his eyes.
Upon hearing James's words, Savannah finally realized something was off.
If Matthew had really become the heir, Charles wouldn't be standing by James's side. The fact that Charles was still with James meant that her plan with Matthew had indeed failed.
Thinking about it, Savannah's legs gave out and she collapsed to the floor, terror written all over her face. She seemed to have a pretty good idea of what was coming next.
"You guys head out. I need to talk to her alone," James said to Charles and Noe.
"Alright!" Charles nodded slightly, then turned and left the room, making sure to close the door behind him.
Once Charles and the others were gone, James walked over to Savannah and sat down on the bed.
Savannah looked up at James with fear in her eyes, her body trembling a bit.
"James, what are you planning to do? I'm warning you, I'm from the Edwards family. If you try anything, they'll never let you get away with it, you hear me?" Savannah shouted at James, trying to look pitiful, her brows furrowed.
She was already quite seductive, and today she was dressed to kill, wearing a strapless top and short shorts. Her pretty face was filled with anger, but even so, she was still incredibly sexy and alluring.
Plus, Savannah was a few years older than James, and her every move had a mature charm. Combined with her noble and cold demeanor from growing up in a wealthy family, there were few men who could resist the temptation of conquering such a stunning beauty.
James squinted at Savannah, not saying a word.
"James, you better let me go now, or my brother will never let you off the hook!" Savannah shouted, getting more agitated when she saw James staying silent, glaring at him.
"Savannah, are you really that naive? If Matthew really wanted to save you, he would've done it by now!" James said with disdain.
Savannah was stunned by James's words, looking at him with a desperate gaze.
"James, I know I messed up. Please... please let me go. I was just used by Matthew. It was him who made me do all that last time. It has nothing to do with me. It was Matthew who wanted your inheritance, not me!" Savannah said, trying to look pitiful, hoping to get James's sympathy and make him let her go.
James squinted at Savannah, still not saying a word.
Savannah sat on the ground with her legs crossed, her long, beautiful legs fully exposed in front of James. She raised her pretty face slightly, looking at James with seductive eyes, appearing as a shy and submissive beauty. She was indeed a famous beauty in Dreamscape City, and any normal guy would find it hard to resist her charm.
"James, I'm begging you, please let me go. I'll do anything you want if you let me go!" Savannah pleaded, her face full of charm.
"If you want me to let you go, you have to agree to one condition," James said softly to Savannah.
