Chapter 56 Fulfilling Any Request

"Fred, are you kidding?" one questioned.

"Is SuperSmith really a student at the University of Lumina?" another added.

"Are you bragging? Why don’t I know we have such a rich man at the University of Lumina?"

The students in the back row of the classroom showed their confusion. They felt that even the richest student at the University of Lumina failed to come up with so much money in one go, especially for the sake of a female livestreamer.

"The background of SuperSmith is terrible. It is not something the ordinary like us can imagine at all!" Fred exclaimed.

"Indeed, throwing around millions like that is not ordinary," Paul chimed in.

"That amount might be substantial for us, while it might just be a monthly pocket change for SuperSmith. Furthermore, heirs like him particularly enjoy playing with female livestreamers. Once tired, he will switch to another. Spending that million won't be a loss," Fred continued, observing the group.

"I wish I had such good luck. Imagine if SuperSmith took a liking to me." the enchanting girl sighed.

However, James wore a troubled expression. If Fred's words were true, the impostor might already be on the way to a meeting with Linda.

"Fred, do you happen to know the real identity of SuperSmith?" James hesitated, anxiously asking Fred.

"I certainly don't. Are you broke and want SuperSmith to sponsor you, James?" Fred retorted mockingly.

The students burst into laughter at Fred's remark. Despite James having treated them to a meal at Azure Pavilion recently, their perception of him as a poor loser remained largely unchanged.

Feeling disappointed by Fred's lack of knowledge about the imposter's identity, James had hoped to gather more information for Terry to investigate and retrieve his account, preventing any further deceit towards Linda or other innocent girls.

Realizing Fred was ignorant of the imposter's name, James knew that solely relying on the fact that the culprit was a student from the University of Lumina wouldn't lead to identifying them.

As the classmates ridiculed James and veered off into irrelevant talks about SuperSmith, James' troubled expression went unnoticed.

Having never anticipated his account being compromised when rewarding Linda, James had previously regarded it as inconsequential.

However, Fred's revelations shed light on the severity of the situation, indicating that the imposter could pose a threat to many unsuspecting female students.

In the world of StreamVerse, some female livestreamers did it for passion and most did it to earn money. To these livestreamers, the name SuperSmith was akin to a goldmine. If the impostor flaunted SuperSmith to approach them, they would willingly comply with any requests, even if it involved meeting for intimate encounters.

‘I never expect my negligence of binding my account to an email will result in such repercussions,’ James sighed helplessly, contemplating how to address the issue.

At that moment, the bell signaled the start of class. The students surrounding Fred returned to their seats, awaiting the lesson.

Noticing James' unsettled demeanor, Paul inquired, "James, what's wrong? Did the teasing from earlier hurt you?"

"No." James shook his head and did not explain further to Paul, knowing Paul wouldn't likely believe him.

James had spent the previous night researching how to recover his account, leading him to be tired in the finance class. After listening for a while, he succumbed to drowsiness and rested his head on the desk for a nap.

When James reopened his eyes, it was already time for the afternoon dismissal.

"James, wake up. Let's hurry to the bar outside of the school. Evelyn and the others are waiting for us there," Paul urged, nudging James' shoulder.

"Alright." James rubbed his sleepy eyes and followed Paul and Tyler toward the university’s exit.

"James, today's gathering is on you. Don't reveal yourself. Try to act generously when you see the girls," Paul advised as they walked.

"I understand." James nodded in response to Paul's words, refraining from saying more.

"If you behave well today, I reckon you can get Evelyn's roommate. After all, those two are not students from the University of Lumina. They wouldn't know much about your situation," Tyler advised, looking at James.

"Tyler, what are you talking about?" Paul intervened, sounding somewhat reluctant.

"I didn't mean anything by it," Tyler replied awkwardly.

"Even if they know about James' situation, what difference does it make? Apart from being a bit short on cash, James has no other issues." Paul looked at Tyler with seriousness.

"Moreover, youth is a man's capital. Even if one is financially strained now, it doesn't mean it will last a lifetime!" Paul added.

"I just made a passing remark earlier. Why are you so worked up?" Tyler seemed to regret his previous statement, quickly offering an apology.

"Let's tone down such comments in the future. James is our friend. If even you think of him that way, others will too," Paul reiterated sternly to Tyler.

"Paul, it's okay. Tyler was just joking with me." James listened to their conversation, feeling touched by their exchange.

Realizing that Tyler's remark was unintended, James found reassurance in their camaraderie.

"That's right. I was just joking. Please forgive me, James," Tyler added, following Paul's lead without further confrontation.

Observing James and Tyler's interaction, Paul didn't say much, proceeding towards the exit.
