Chapter 201 Give Me Five Million!

James stared at Jennifer, who was on the verge of losing it, feeling totally helpless.

He had thought about letting her go because of their history, but Jennifer was being a real pain.

"Jennifer, do you really think I can't deal with you?" James asked, his face blank.

"Of course you can. You're loaded now and know people like Terry and Yancy. You're not the same guy," Jennifer replied coolly. "But so what? Are you gonna kill me?"

James, pushed to his limit, gritted his teeth. "I have a thousand ways to make you disappear!"

Instead of being scared, Jennifer laughed. "James, I left a letter. If anything happens to me, it'll go straight to the cops. Even if I die, I'll take you down with me!"

James was speechless. He never thought Jennifer would be this prepared. It was clear she planned to stick to him like glue.

"But you're rich. You wouldn't want to go down with me, right?" Jennifer continued.

James squinted, trying to figure out a way out of this mess.

"My parents split when I was in kindergarten, and I have no family. So don't think you can threaten me with that. Either get back together with me, or I'll cling to you forever. Think about it!" Jennifer said.

"You're crazy!" James gritted his teeth.

"Yeah, I am. Because of you!" Jennifer said darkly.

James finally got it—keeping his identity a secret was crucial. Once people knew, wealth could twist them, bringing as many problems as being broke.

He regretted letting Michael and Jennifer know who he really was. If Jennifer didn't know, she'd cause minor issues. Now, she was a ticking time bomb.

"James, let's get back together. I'll be loyal, you can date whoever you want and I interfere. Deal?" Jennifer pleaded.

"Stop dreaming. I'd rather be single forever than be with you!" James replied coldly.

"So you'll let me cling to you forever? Your life will be ruined!" Jennifer shouted, getting more agitated.

James looked at her silently. He had no idea how to deal with her. If Jennifer kept bugging him, Laura would never clear up her misunderstanding of him.

James wasn't worried Jennifer would do anything drastic; he was more concerned about explaining this to Laura.

Suddenly, Jennifer said, "James, if you really don't want to be with me, there's another option. If you agree, I'll never bother you again!"

"What is it?" James asked, stunned.

"Just give me five million dollars, and I'll leave you alone," she said.

Jennifer knew James wouldn't get back with her, so she decided to ask for money directly. She had no feelings for him; she just wanted cash.

James sneered. Now he understood Jennifer's game—it was all about money.

"I heard from Yancy you're rich now. Since you don't want to reconcile, just give me the cash, and I'll disappear," Jennifer continued.

"Do you have any shame?" James gritted his teeth.

"Shame? Girls got to eat. Money is what matters," Jennifer said calmly.

"Why should I do that?" James shouted.

"Because you pretended to be poor and made me suffer for three years. Consider it a breakup fee," Jennifer said confidently.

"You wanted the breakup. Why should I pay?" James retorted.

He stood up, pointing at her. "Stop dreaming. I won't give you a penny!"

Jennifer was clearly threatening him, and James didn't like it.

"Fine, if you don't pay, I'll keep posting our photos at school!" Jennifer said coldly.

"Go ahead! I don't care!" James smiled and walked out of the restaurant.

Seeing him leave, Jennifer panicked. She didn't expect James to be so ruthless.

She quickly stood up and shouted, "James, don't think I don't know about your fiancée. If I tell her about the abortion, how do you think she'll feel?"

James froze, shocked. He never expected Jennifer to know about his fiancée.

Very few people knew about James and Laura, and no one at school knew. So how did Jennifer find out?

James realized someone must be coaching Jennifer, someone who knew about Laura.
