Chapter 112 The Revenge Plan

In no time, Linda disappeared from James's sight.

James's expression betrayed a sense of helplessness as he realized that his newly improving relationship with Linda had suddenly taken a turn for the worse.

But now, because of Nancy's appearance, it had instantly plummeted to freezing point. After Linda left, James hailed a taxi and headed towards the University of Lumina.

The scene at the hotel entrance made Nancy mistakenly think he and Linda had rented a room together, and it also made Linda think he was a man kept by women.

However, James had failed to accomplish either of these tasks, thus he was experiencing a great deal of frustration.

"Looks like hiding my identity isn't an easy task!"

James couldn't help but sigh softly as he sat in the taxi.

Twenty minutes later, James arrived at the University of Lumina and walked into the classroom.

Because he had been delayed at the hotel entrance, most of his classmates were already there by the time James arrived in the classroom.

Upon entering the classroom, James noticed that his classmates were staring at him with peculiar expressions on their faces. He hesitated for a moment and then walked directly to the back row of the classroom, finding a seat next to Tyler and Paul.

Seeing the strange looks from his classmates, James was a bit worried that his identity had been exposed, so he asked Paul nervously, "Did something happen in our class?"

"James, tell me the truth. Did you really get all that money from winning the lottery?" Paul asked with a serious expression.

"Yeah, where else would I get so much money?"

James thought his identity had been exposed, so he replied nervously and stuttered a bit.

Paul asked seriously, "You're not lying to me, right?"

"Of course not!"

James nodded.

"Alright!"

Paul let out a long sigh of relief and then whispered, "Let me tell you, there's been a thief at our school recently. While no one in our class has experienced any losses so far, students in other classes have been encountering a series of monetary disappearances. You should be careful, too!"

"Someone lost money?"

James was stunned for a moment upon hearing this, then quickly realized why his classmates were looking at him strangely. They all thought he was the thief!

"You asked me those questions earlier because you suspect I'm the thief, right?" James asked Paul angrily.

He could accept others suspecting him, but he didn't expect even his best buddy Paul to doubt him.

"I'm not suspecting you; I was just asking!" Paul replied awkwardly.

"James, it's normal for everyone to suspect you. After all, you spent a lot of money treating everyone to a meal a few days ago, and you've been spending money lavishly recently, which is completely different from how you used to be. Given the circumstances, it is only natural that they would harbor suspicions towards you as their primary target," Tyler said to James.

"Alright, let them think what they want. I'm not a thief anyway!"

James hesitated for a moment, thinking that Tyler's words made some sense.

After all, he used to be a poor delivery guy, but now he was suddenly spending money like water, which was a big change. It was normal for them to suspect him.

"By the way, Paul paid your share of the class fee earlier!" Tyler continued.

James asked Paul, "I'll pay you back; how much was it?"

"Forget it, it wasn't much. Just treat me to lunch, and we'll call it even!" Paul said nonchalantly.

"Alright then!"

James nodded.

Paul had always paid James's class fees before because he knew James had no money. James would then treat Paul to a meal as repayment.

Although James didn't say anything, he always remembered this in his heart.

As James was engrossed in his thoughts, the abrupt sound of high heels clicking against the floor emanated from outside the classroom.

The students perked up upon hearing the footsteps.

The counselor, Janet, walked into the classroom with a set of teaching materials. She was dressed very sexy today. Janet wore a tight black shirt that exposed her long, white neck, which looked as beautiful as a swan's against the black shirt. Her full, round chest was tightly constrained by the shirt, outlining an enticing curve.

She also wore a black pencil skirt that hugged her alluring hips and revealed her slender, long legs, making her look very attractive.

At the sight of Janet, a wave of excitement swept through the male students in the class, causing their gazes to intensify as they observed her.

"I heard there have been several thefts at our school recently. If anyone loses something, report it to me immediately. Also, don't bring valuable items to school!" Janet said softly after putting down her teaching materials.

Upon hearing this, the students all turned to look at James.

Janet seemed to notice their gazes but said nothing more. She simply said, "Take out your textbooks; it's time for class!"

Seeing the students looking at him, James felt very uncomfortable.

However, he chose not to provide an explanation, fully aware that they would dismiss his words as unbelievable regardless.

At the classroom door, Michael, Jennifer, Sandra, and Ashley's loyal follower, Elbert, were whispering together.

"Elbert, are you ready?" Michael Brown asked Elbert with narrowed eyes.

"Mr. Brown, don't worry, I'm ready!"

Elbert grinned and continued, "The class president just collected the class fees, and the money is still in her bag. During gym class, when everyone leaves, we just need to get James into the classroom and put the class fees in his bag!"

"Elbert, that's a brilliant plan!"

Michael Brown smiled slyly and looked at James's seat, saying viciously, "James, let's see what you do this time. You mess with me, you're dead!"

"Maybe we should drop this plan," Ashley said worriedly.

"No way! Have you forgotten how James humiliated you the other day?" Jennifer said to Ashley unhappily.

"I'm just worried; what if we get caught?"

Ashley said hesitantly.

"Don't worry, Ashley, no one will find out!" Elbert said with a smile.

"Who's going to do it?" Sandra suddenly asked.

Everyone looked at Elbert.

"Elbert, didn't you say you like Ashley? Now's your chance to prove it."

Jennifer, with her malicious intent, naturally wouldn't let Michael Brown do it. If they got caught, it would ruin his reputation, so she targeted Elbert.

Elbert hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, I'll do it!"

"Elbert, you..."

Ashley started to speak.

"Ashley, don't say anything. I'd do anything for you!" Elbert said, looking at Ashley with deep affection.

Hearing this, Ashley cursed him silently and said no more.
