Chapter 46 Eight Million in One Go

"What?" Pamela couldn't help but pause when hearing James' words, then burst into laughter.

The other staff at the real estate office also joined in as if they had just heard the funniest joke in the world.

"Mr. Smith, I'm fine. If anything, I can always find another job. Let's go!" Stephanie was already touched by James standing up for her. However, she knew that James couldn't afford an eight-million-dollar villa.

So, to Stephanie, James' words at the moment seemed more like a jest than reality.

"Are you all done laughing?" James suddenly interjected, breaking the laughter of the crowd.

Pamela also stopped laughing, scrutinizing James and disdainfully saying, "Did you just say you want to buy this villa? This villa is on special offer. No loans are accepted, and only full payment is required. A deposit of five million dollars, with the remaining three million to be paid within a month. If you intend to buy, just pay in full!"

"A deposit of five million dollars?" James couldn't help but pause at this.

"You don't have the money?" Pamela mocked.

"No, I think there's no need for such hassle. I will pay the full eight million," James calmly replied.

Seeing James' calm demeanor, Pamela was surprised because she sensed that James might not be joking.

‘Could this guy be an heir to a fortune?’ A bold thought briefly crossed Pamela's mind, but she quickly dismissed it. After all. ‘No wealthy heir would dress like him!’

"Mr. Smith, let’s leave now!" Stephanie tugged at James’ sleeve, wanting him to depart. In her view, James was only helping her and couldn't afford a villa.

"The deal hasn't been sealed yet. No rush to leave," James replied and then turned to Pamela, saying, "Why are you still standing there? Go prepare the contract!"

"Do you really have the money to buy this villa?" Pamela asked James in disbelief. James then took out the black card Charles had given him, threw it on the table, and casually said, "Eight million dollars in one go. Just swipe the card."

At this, the real estate office staff and customers directed their eyes toward him, perplexed.

It was hard to fathom that a seemingly ordinary guy like James could casually purchase an eight-million-dollar villa!

While most customers were from the affluent class of Lumina City, the swift readiness to pay such a large sum was beyond their comprehension.

"Is this a bank card? I've never seen one like this," Pamela questioned, her tone condescending.

In the entire country, no more than ten people owned this black card, each being a significant personality. Hence, ordinary folks were unaware of its existence.

"This is not just a bank card. Swipe it, and you'll see," James replied nonchalantly as he sat down on a sofa.

Earlier, Charles had told James that this card had no spending limit as long as it didn't exceed one trillion dollars. Yet, with a billion dollars already at his disposal, James had never had the chance to use it.

Subsequently, James decided to try the card. Pamela hesitated before instructing a staff to fetch the POS machine.

Shortly after, Pamela entered the staggering figure of eight million on the POS machine and turned to James, saying, "Enter your PIN."

Taking the POS machine, James nonchalantly keyed in the password. The entire real estate office held its breath, all eyes fixed on James as they anticipated the outcome of the transaction.

Stephanie, too, regarded James with a hint of perplexity as she began to consider that James might not have been joking earlier.

[The payment went through!] With the beep from the POS machine, the entire office erupted into excitement!

People were all stunned, astonished at how the unassuming young man before them had effortlessly acquired an eight-million-dollar villa.

As James remained seated calmly, the onlookers regarded him with awe and admiration, while the women, in particular, oozed with seduction, eager to approach James.

The prospect of a minimum commission for selling a villa worth nearly a million dollars seemed tantalizing!

Yet, the most shocked were Stephanie and Pamela.

Stephanie gazed at James with wide eyes, unable to grasp that the man she had randomly met on the street turned out to be such a wealthy heir! Meanwhile, Pamela displayed not only shock but embarrassment, as her words earlier had potentially offended her most significant client.

Then James remarked, "Have the funds been transferred?"

Pamela, shaken, replied, "Yes." She was unable to meet James' gaze, with her mind replaying the embarrassing incident from before.

"Mr. Smith, I will prepare the contract for you!" Pamela stammered.

"Okay," James nonchalantly responded.

Pamela quickly turned and left the room.

Meanwhile, James remained seated on the sofa, quietly waiting.

Amidst the varied gazes directed at James, filled with envy and intrigue, Stephanie stood frozen in disbelief, feeling as though she were in a dream.
