Chapter 117 Savor & Vine Bistro
"You know deep down inside when you started pretending to be a second-generation wealthy individual!"
Evelyn, looking smug, shouted at James in a very harsh tone, "Sarah is here today, so hurry up and apologize to her. Maybe if she's in a good mood, she'll forgive you!"
The students passing by stopped in their tracks and turned to look at Evelyn and James after hearing Evelyn's words.
Evelyn saw more and more students gathering around, and her face lit up with a triumphant smile.
She thought that making James apologize to Sarah in front of everyone would thoroughly humiliate him and also help mend her relationship with Sarah.
"Evelyn, the incident from last time is over. Stop holding onto it."
Although Paul had anticipated that Sarah's visit wasn't just to hang out with James, he didn't expect Evelyn to go so far as to make James apologize in front of so many people, which was humiliating.
"He pretended to be a rich kid at the bar last time and embarrassed Sarah in front of everyone. Now I am requesting him to apologize to her, which is completely reasonable," Evelyn said self-righteously.
"Evelyn, don't go too far!" Tyler couldn't stand it anymore and stepped forward, pointing at Evelyn and cursing.
"I'm not going too far. If James doesn't apologize to Sarah today, Sarah and I will leave right now!"
Evelyn thought that with James's meek personality, he would definitely try to keep the peace, so she dared to be so arrogant.
"Then you can leave!"
But to everyone's surprise, James suddenly said expressionlessly.
Evelyn was taken aback for a moment upon hearing James's words. After collecting herself, she clenched her teeth and said,, "James, I hope you don't regret this. I was trying to get Sarah to forgive you, but you don't know what's good for you. Sarah, let's go!" Saying this, Evelyn tried to pull Sarah away.
But after tugging twice, she found that Sarah stood still, showing no intention of leaving.
"Sarah, what are you doing standing here? This loser won't apologize to you, let's go!" Evelyn shouted at Sarah, puzzled.
Sarah replied coldly, "If you want to leave, go ahead. I'm not leaving."
Evelyn was stunned by Sarah's words, her face full of confusion.
She had planned to use this opportunity to threaten James into apologizing to Sarah.
But she didn't expect James to refuse to apologize, and even more surprising, Sarah had no intention of leaving.
Evelyn was completely bewildered, her mouth opening and closing without saying anything.
"Sarah, he's not willing to apologize to you. Why are you still standing here?" Evelyn asked Sarah, utterly confused.
Sarah responded disdainfully, "I never said I wanted James to apologize."
"Sarah, you..."
Evelyn looked at Sarah, bewildered.
"At the bar last time, James never said he was a rich kid, and we just misunderstood him. I came here specifically to apologize to James!"
After uttering this, Sarah approached James and softly said, "James, we misunderstood you last time. I'm sorry."
Hearing Sarah's words, Paul, Tyler, and the surrounding students widened their eyes in shock.
It was supposed to be James apologizing to Sarah, but now Sarah was apologizing to James. What was going on?
Everyone present was stunned by Sarah's actions.
"It's okay," James replied calmly to Sarah.
"Evelyn, what are you standing there for? Come over and apologize to James!" Sarah turned and shouted at Evelyn.
Evelyn shouted with an exciting attitude, "Sarah, why should I apologize to this loser?"
""It was our wrongdoing in the first place. I shouldn't have left abruptly at that time. I have no problem apologizing to James now," Sarah replied coldly.
"Even if you shouldn't have left, I won't apologize to him. He's just a loser."
Evelyn pouted.
"Evelyn, if you don't apologize to James today, I'll cut ties with you!" Sarah said coldly.
"Sarah, what's wrong with you? You're going to cut ties with me over James!"
Evelyn felt a lot of confusion in her mind. In less than two days, Sarah's attitude towards James had changed dramatically.
Paul, Tyler, and the others were equally puzzled.
Sarah shouted at Evelyn, "Are you going to apologize or not?"
Evelyn stood there, feeling torn and hesitant. Eventually, she mustered the courage and approached James, speaking in a subdued tone,, "James, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said those things about you."
James glanced at Evelyn indifferently and ignored her.
Although he could forgive Sarah and choose to be friends with her, that didn't mean he would forgive Evelyn.
Evelyn was a typical manipulative woman, using her looks to scam money everywhere.
Moreover, Evelyn always treated Paul as a backup boyfriend, playing with his feelings, which made James despise her even more.
"Alright, since the misunderstanding is cleared up, it's all good!"
Seeing James not speaking, Paul quickly stepped in to mediate the conflict.
Then he turned to Evelyn and said, "Have you two eaten? Let's go to the cafeteria together! James is treating today!"
The University of Lumina's cafeteria wasn't expensive; a meal would cost at most twenty dollars.
So Paul deliberately said James was treating to help James regain some dignity.
Although Evelyn apologized to James, she was still very resentful.
Hearing that James was treating them to a meal, she pouted and said, "We came all the way here, and you want to treat us to a cafeteria meal?"
"If not the cafeteria, where do you want to go? Azure Pavilion?"
Tyler, who also disliked Evelyn, couldn't help but shout.
"Azure Pavilion isn't necessary. I heard your school has a place called Savor & Vine Bistro. That's pretty good. How about we go there?" Evelyn said slowly.
"Savor & Vine Bistro?"
Paul and Tyler were stunned upon hearing this, secretly thinking that Evelyn was really ruthless!
Savor & Vine Bistro was a place for the rich kids at school, where a casual meal could cost them a month's worth of cafeteria food.
Not to mention James, even Paul and Tyler couldn't afford to eat at Savor & Vine Bistro.
"Are you guys really that stingy?"
Seeing James, Paul, and the others fall silent, Evelyn said disdainfully.
