Chapter 130 Charles Arrives

In University of Lumina, inside the president's office, Louis and Arnold both showed shocked expressions as they saw the middle-aged man walk into the office.

"Mr. Wilson, why are you here today?" Arnold quickly stood up, walked over to the middle-aged man, and asked with a fawning expression.

"Yes, Mr. Wilson, weren't you supposed to attend the board meeting today?" Louis followed up.

The person who appeared in the president's office was Charles.

When Charles was introducing the inheritance left by James's granduncle, he specifically mentioned that James's granduncle was also the chairman of the University of Lumina's board of directors.

After James's granduncle passed away, Charles assumed his position and became the interim chairman of the board.

The reason James was so confident earlier was because he knew Charles was the chairman of the University of Lumina's board of directors, which made him so calm.

It could be said that who got to be the president of the University of Lumina entirely depended on Charles's decision.

So, as long as James did notwant to leave, no one at the University of Lumina could expel him!

The University of Lumina was a private university, and all its funding came from the shareholders of the board of directors.

Charles's Golden Peak Group controled seventy-one percent of the University of Lumina's shares, making it the largest shareholder.

Since James was Charles's behind-the-scenes boss, the entire school belonged to James. Arnold certainly didnot have the authority to expel James.

Charles glanced at Arnold and Louis indifferently and ignored them.

Instead, he bent down and walked over to James, respectfully saying, "I'm sorry, James, I'm late!"

Arnold and Louis both opened their mouths wide in shock when they heard Charles's words.

They found it hard to believe that someone like James, who came from a humble background, could have such a connection with someone as influential as Charles.

Arnold's brow furrowed, and cold sweat kept appearing on his forehead. He finally understood why James was so arrogant earlier and dared to say that no one could expel him.

If James really knew Charles, then Arnold, indeed, wouldn't have the guts to expel James.

"No worries, you're not late!" James replied calmly, then stood up and asked Charles, "Charles, how many shares of the University of Lumina do I currently own?"

"James, you currently own seventy-one percent of the University of Lumina's shares and have absolute control!" Charles quickly replied.

Arnold and Louis were dumbfounded once again upon hearing this.

They couldn't understand why James suddenly owned seventy-one percent of the University of Lumina's shares, which should have belonged to Charles!

"Arnold, I forgot to introduce you. This is James, the only legal heir of the Golden Peak Group. So, seventy-one percent of the University of Lumina's shares previously owned by Golden Peak Group now all belong to James. I was just the acting chairman of the board, but now that James has inherited Golden Peak Group, the position of chairman should be his!" Charles turned to Arnold and said calmly.

Although Charles's voice was not loud, his words caused a massive wave in the hearts of Arnold and Louis.

No one could have fathomed that this seemingly average and impoverished youngster, who typically earned a living through food delivery, would unexpectedly evolve into the inheritor of the Golden Peak Group and eventually assume the position of chairman on the school's board of directors.

For Arnold, this was unbelievable!

Arnold didn't know exactly how powerful Golden Peak Group was, but he knew how powerful Charles was.

Now that even Charles had become James's subordinate, James's power was unimaginable!

"Now, the entire school is mine. Do you still want to expel me?" James took a step forward, squinting his eyes as he softly asked Arnold.

"James." Arnold quickly took two steps back, a flash of fear in his eyes, and then he fell to the ground with a thud.

Seeing Arnold scared, James coldly smiled and then turned to Charles, asking, "Charles, do I have the authority to replace the president?"

Arnold and Louis's faces grew even more fearful as they heard James's question.

"James, replacing the school's president requires a board meeting and the approval of fifty-one percent of the shareholders. But since you now own seventy-one percent of the shares, you can just hold a symbolic board meeting to make it official," Charles said slowly.

"Okay!" James nodded lightly, then looked at Arnold and said, "I told you before, unless I want to leave, no one can expel me. Now, not only can you not expel me, but I am going to expel you!"

Arnold's face turned pale instantly, and he collapsed to the ground.

Little did he imagine that the seemingly destitute student standing before him was such a formidable figure!

No one could have imagined that an heir to Golden Peak Group would be pretending to be poor by delivering food at school.

"James, are you going to dismiss President Arnold now?" Charles stepped forward and asked James.

"Mr. Wilson, please don't!" Arnold quickly knelt on the ground, shouting at the top of his lungs.

"Mr. Wilson, James, it was indeed my fault today. I offended James. You may punish me in any manner you deem appropriate, but I implore you not to expel me.. After all, I've been at the University of Lumina for so many years and have made some contributions!" Arnold shouted emotionally.

Louis, after hesitating for a moment, also knelt on the ground and loudly pleaded with James, "James, we offended you today. I beg you to give us another chance. Please don't expel us!"

Louis wasn't stupid. He knew that the only reason he could act recklessly at the University of Lumina was because of his uncle Arnold.

If James had expelled Arnold now, Louis knew he wouldn't have had a good outcome either.

James squinted at the two kneeling before him, his expression full of disdain.

Earlier, Arnold and Louis had displayed immense arrogance, but now they were groveling like dogs, begging for mercy.

If James were just an ordinary student, he wouldn't have even had a chance to explain himself today; Arnold would have expelled him immediately.

So naturally, James wouldn't let them off easily!

Arnold looked at James with an extremely tense expression, hoping James would spare him.

Initially, as the president of the University of Lumina, Arnold could decide James's fate with a single word.

But now, their positions had reversed, and James could decide Arnold's fate with a single word.
