Chapter 204 Hitting You is Giving You Face

Craig spotted James and rushed over, "James!"

"Did you bring the money?" James asked, barely glancing at him.

"Yeah, I got it!" Craig nodded quickly.

Jennifer, seeing the money, ran over to James, her face lighting up.

"Craig, open the suitcase," James said, sounding bored.

Craig hesitated but then opened it, revealing stacks of cash.

Everyone gasped, stunned by the sight. Even the rich folks at the Michelin restaurant were taken aback.

James's casual display of wealth changed everyone's view of him.

Jennifer's eyes sparkled, unable to hide her excitement.

William and the flirty woman were just as shocked, realizing Craig was there to give money to James.

"Is this guy really that rich?" William stared at James in disbelief.

"Yeah, who would've thought he's actually loaded!" the woman stammered.

"Jennifer, here's five million dollars. Need to count it?" James asked.

"No, no need," Jennifer said, eyes gleaming, shaking her head.

"Alright, it is yours. But if you cause me any more trouble, I won't let it slide. Got it?" James warned.

"Got it!" Jennifer nodded quickly.

Seeing her greed, James chuckled to himself, "Jennifer, remember what I told you?"

"No, I don't," Jennifer replied lightly.

"There are things more important than money. Even with this cash, you won't get the life you want," James said, then walked out.

As he passed William, William reached out to stop him.

"Need something?" James asked.

"Hey, you said if I knelt and apologized, you'd give me a million dollars. Does that still count?" William asked excitedly.

Earlier, William thought James was joking, thinking he was just a poor guy who couldn't even come up with ten grand.

Now that James had given Jennifer five million dollars, William realized James might not have been joking.

Kneeling and apologizing for a million dollars? Where else could William find such a sweet deal?

"What do you think?" James asked coldly.

Without hesitation, William knelt and shouted, "Bro, I was wrong. I apologize!"

James smiled at William, then looked at the flirty woman.

"What are you waiting for? Kneel and apologize to this gentleman!" William barked at her.

"I know I was wrong. I shouldn't have said those things!" She quickly knelt, eager for cash.

Seeing them kneel, no one showed disdain. In their shoes, they would've done the same. A million dollars for kneeling? They'd kneel through the floor!

Instead of looking down on William, everyone envied his luck.

After they knelt, James shook his head and left the restaurant.

"Hey, I did as you asked. When will you give me the money?" William caught up to James, smiling.

"What money?" James smiled playfully. "I was joking earlier."

"You!" William shouted angrily, "Are you messing with me? Do you believe I'll—"

Before he could finish, Craig slapped him hard.

William's lackeys prepared to rush up, but five armed men with assault rifles and bulletproof vests burst into the restaurant. They were special forces responsible for bank security.

William's lackeys froze, not daring to move.

"Think twice before doing anything stupid!" Craig said coldly to William.

"Yes, I know I was wrong!" William stammered.

"Mr. Smith, this way, please," Craig said respectfully to James.

"Okay." James nodded and walked out.

Jennifer, stunned, shouted, "James, don't go! How am I supposed to take this money if you leave?"

"You said money is the most important thing. Now that you're rich, I'm sure you can figure it out!" James replied playfully.

Jennifer was dumbfounded.

James left with Craig and the others, leaving Jennifer devastated.

Five million dollars in cash weighs nearly a hundred pounds. She couldn't carry it alone!

When James withdrew the cash from the bank, he had to use an electric cart to transport it.
