Chapter 178 Janet's Appearance

At the sight of these guys, a sinister gleam flickered in Yancy's eyes.

Xavier, face swollen, still yelled, "James, you were acting tough earlier! Keep it up! Now that Yancy's crew is here, you're done for!"

As soon as Xavier finished, a crowd gathered around Yancy, shouting, "Boss!"

Xavier pointed at James and ordered, "This guy hit Xavier. Break his legs!"

Everyone looked to Yancy for the go-ahead.

"Throw him out and break all his limbs!" Yancy commanded coldly.

A dozen thugs, armed with weapons, rushed towards James with menacing intent.

Michael and Jennifer watched with satisfied smiles, thrilled to see James' downfall, for they had been eagerly anticipating this moment for a long time.

"Yancy, please let James go! He just started working here and doesn't know the rules. I'll give up 50% of my bar's shares if you let him go," Cynthia pleaded, standing in front of James.

"This jerk slapped me. If I don't deal with him, I’ll have no place in Lumina City," Yancy snapped.

While Yancy spoke, James called Terry.

"James!" Terry answered quickly.

"How much longer till you get here?" James asked, frowning.

"About three minutes," Terry replied hesitantly.

"I'm being..." James started but then saw Cynthia pushed to the ground by a thug.

"You hit a woman? Are you even a man?" James snarled, grabbing a bottle and smashing it over the thug's head.

The bottle shattered, sending glass everywhere. The thug wobbled and collapsed.

"James?" Terry's voice was urgent on the phone.

But James had already tossed his phone aside and kept smashing bottles over the thugs' heads.

James had always been known for his calm demeanor and never initiated fights. His primary concern was that if he got into trouble and it was reported to the school, it could jeopardize his financial aid and possibly lead to expulsion.

So, he endured the bullying. But enduring didn't mean James was weak.

He'd trained in martial arts with his father from a young age, and years of delivering food had kept him in good shape. Despite his seemingly fragile appearance, he was actually quite skilled—far stronger than the average person.

Now, James found himself engaged in a brawl with Yancy's gang of thugs. Initially, he managed to hold his own, but as the fight intensified and the attackers grew bolder, James began to struggle.

As the saying went, "One man's battle is a hard one." TV shows might show one guy taking on ten, but that was not real life.

No matter how tough one individual was, facing off against a dozen armed thugs and managing to hold out for ten minutes would be impressive. Taking them all down was simply out of the question.

A thug found an opening and kicked James in the stomach.

James staggered back and fell.

Seeing him down, the crowd rushed him.

Cynthia felt despair, knowing if James went down, he might not get back up.

"Stop it!" A cold voice came from the entrance.

Everyone turned toward the bar's entrance.

There, a stunning woman strode in with a fierce, determined look on her face. She was tall and elegant, her high heels clicking sharply against the floor as she walked. Dressed in a gray business skirt, she exuded a mesmerizing allure. Her figure was curvaceous, with black stockings clinging to her legs, accentuated by a pair of striking red stiletto heels. The combination made her look incredibly sensual and glamorous.

As the crowd took in her appearance, their faces flickered with a mixture of confusion and curiosity.

"Who is she?"

"No idea, but she's got a killer body!"

"She must be important; otherwise, she wouldn't dare speak up for James."

The bar patrons were confused. James, Cynthia, Jennifer, and Michael were stunned, their faces filled with disbelief.

"Why is Miss Carter here?" Jennifer exclaimed.

Yes, the stunning woman was James's college advisor, Janet!

James squinted at Janet, equally puzzled.

Cynthia remembered Janet had called earlier, saying she wanted to visit the bar. But with everything happening, Cynthia had forgotten.

Unexpectedly, Yancy was also stunned upon seeing Janet.

Then, like a mouse seeing a cat, he quickly walked over, half-bowed, and asked, "Miss Carter, what brings you here?"

Everyone gasped in shock, eyes filled with disbelief.

They couldn't understand why Yancy was so respectful to Janet!

The most shocked were James, Jennifer, Michael, and Cynthia.

In their minds, Janet was just a college advisor and shouldn't have any connection with someone like Yancy!

At that moment, James' phone rang.

He quickly picked it up.

"James, I'm at the bar entrance. Do you need me to come in?" Terry asked anxiously.

James felt something was off with Janet, so he quickly replied, "Wait a moment. I'll let you know when to come in."

"Alright, I'll wait at the entrance," Terry said hurriedly.
